Halo 3 beta invites are already being sent

Jan 23rd 2007 12:30PM (Joystiq Xbox)
For those of you who are thinking of selling your copy of crackdown need to read the fine print....

"When the Halo 3 multiplayer beta surfaces in spring 2007, those owners of Crackdown that have access to an Xbox 360 Pro console or an Xbox 360 Core console with hard drive and a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription simply need to load their copy of Crackdown into Xbox 360 and use the disc as a key to download the beta from Xbox Live Marketplace and join the battle in Halo 3 multiplayer."

So to get in you'll need the Crackdown disk!!!!!

Why not built in rumble on a portable?

Jan 10th 2007 2:32PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Well, I personaly perfer to have rumble. I miss it a lot in games like burnout on the PSP. My DS and DS Lite both have rumble with the rumble pack. There are several games that use it to great effect, the best being magnetica and Metriod Pinball.

Xbox exec denies existence of 1080p gaming for the PS3

Mar 23rd 2006 4:17PM (Engadget)
This will end up just like the original Xbox's HDTV outputs. Nobody used it. Only a hand full of games actually output in HDTV on the Xbox. The PS3 is going to be the same. Sony just put that out there for bragging rights. So who cares. Sony's word means nothing to me anymore (CD Rootkit, Toy Story Graphics, etc.), if they can do it great, but I won't believe it until I see it along with a sub grand 1080P TV!
