Same here. I had a lot of fun with both games; Quirky but surprising fun.

12 Days of Joyswag: Nintendo 3DS plus eight games (and a ton of Skylanders)

On the toilet and in bed. Now that I think about it, I better scrub my portables with alcohol.

Good on you! I hope Santa brings you something extra special this holiday. :)

I understand your point and actually had the same thought myself. If a game costs you $40 or $50 (assuming no sales or special pricing) which brings in only 30-50 points each, you'd be buying two Wii games for the opportunity to get a free Super Mario Kart VC download.
Then I took into accord the other prizes/rewards and realized it doesn't really matter. A notebook can be had for as little as $.50 (without the fancy Nintendo stuff on it), a tote bag is not expensive to buy (especially of that quality), and the posters would also be pretty inexpensive. The only rewards on there that are anywhere close are the two DS games and the Ball replica reward.
My point: If you look at it for pure monetary value, it's always going to be a ripoff. Just have fun with this, completely optional, bonus and get what will make you smile inside. If you can't get over the getting ripped off part, email me your codes and I'll take care of the having fun part for you.

:D

Retail copies of Battlefield 3 will also require Origin

Aug 13th 2011 1:00PM (Joystiq)
Thanks for saving me some cash, EA. I was going to buy this retail for the pc at launch (since there was no steam version coming), now I'll just pass on it entirely. Sadly, I was kinda excited for this seeing as it would have been my first Battlefield experience. :(
