Video of E3 Mass Effect demo hits XBLM

Jul 13th 2006 5:27AM (Joystiq)
Screw Halo 3, Fable 2, PGR 3, Forza Motorsports 2, Gears of War, Elder Scrolls, Bioshock, and Viva Pinata. How much can I sell my soul for on eBay, I need an X360 and this game. The fluid conversations part seems interesting to me, because I get to put a gun to people's faces just to see their expressions without going to jail!

This and Viva Pinata are possibly the zennith of gamepad based games! All I need is Slap a Mime for the Wii, and I'll be in heaven.

Mind-controlled games in the near future?

What happens when a person's brain (not mind) is fooled into thinking this simulated enviroment is real, and you die in-game?

Denzel as Master Chief and other dubious movie rumors [update 1]

Why Denzel Washington? Halo has a sword, I say Wesley Snipes!

Sony pulls controversial PSP ads

Jul 12th 2006 12:44AM (Joystiq)
I see why you guys think its racist, but honestly, who cares? Its skin color, stop making such a big deal.

P.S. All publicity is good publicity, if that publicity is focused. This ad isn't that good because it won't get anyone interested in a PSP that hasn't already heard of it, and backed down from getting one because of the color. If Sony made an ad "where a man takes a shit on a 360" as Petrie so eloquently put it would be a horrid ad, because if you just saw that on TV, you'd be curious what the hell is going on. However, if they put the name of a product at the end of the commercial, they'd be curious what the hell is going on, and try and figure out. And if someone on the internet reads about it, they'll go find out about it themselves. Honestly, if it wasn't for the contreversy of this ad, I'd of never known they were releasing a white PSP, so if it was intended to make contreversy, they did a damn good job.

Zelda spinoff RPG to star Tingle, in a 'pink-colored rupee land'

Jul 11th 2006 6:38PM (Joystiq)
Thats hilarious, even the people who named it think this games only worth piss. If it can communicate with Legend of Zelda for the Wii, I'll die of laughter... I just want to know, who smelt the fresh red piss that brought them to happy land.

A Sony fanboy gone mad

Wes Craven pondering games career

Art is not interactive. And very few people like watching others play video games. So video games are not art, unless its completely chock full with cut-scenes, and nothing else.

Goldeneye tested on 12 year-old, fails 'timeless' test

I had that game when it came out, I was like 6 at the time, but no matter how much I played it, I really didn't like it, I'd play it often with my older brother, but It got so boring after a while. I'll never understand how that game came to be so immensley popular. Even if that game had better graphics, it would still be rather boring. I don't see how its possible to not have played the original Playstation or the N64 by age 12 though.

Well, the camera method usually makes the shot look crappy, even moreso with a digital camera.

Stupidly simple games degree exam paper is very real

warzer, its the Famicom (Family Computer?)

Just think, in 5 years the video game industry is going to see countless textbook examples of games based on the same generic story.
