HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. If you look at Rock Bands forums, one of the all time highest forum threads was for Tool in it. They are the single band I've wanted in one of these games for years, and now it's official. I didn't want to believe in even one Tool song, getting my hopes up, but now they have 3 of the damn things. If the rest of the game was just monkeys banging together trash cans I would still pay full price on this thing. If they place the songs in different number tiers, say 3,5,8 they could keep things in a Fibonacci order as well.
There is no way. Mainly because alot of those songs are the BIG songs from the band I've been dying to play in one of these games. Hallowed be thy Name is the Maiden song I've really wanted, Master of Puppets the big Metallica song I wanted. And... 3 Tool songs. If this list is true Tool would be enough for me to say that this setlist is the best so far in a game. However it does look HIGHLY fake, if only because Activision isn't gonna load down one game with all the best stuff.
How could we buy Guitar Hero 59 Alpha Hannah Montana if they did?
If, IF, this is compatible with the existing instruments, and I don't have to buy a new set of them, then I welcome a new game. It could have some new versions of the instruments, fine, but I dont wanna buy it again. As long as it's like GH3, where a GH2 controller works fine, I'll just buy the game itself.
However IF it requires buying all new instruments, and it's already this close (I assume they want it to go against GH4 this year), then that is a load of crap. If that's the case, it sounds like EA's normal buisness model really. Hopefully the first option is the way this will go however, otherwise I'm just gonna start abstaining from both games, MUSIC not Hardware!
You know, I don't care about Gamespot, since November I havn't been there more than twice. BUT, what about Gamefaqs? That's a site I don't want to see anything too major happen to.
As someone said above, this list only includes retail sales. Now I look at a couple titles on there where if we included other sales it would change alot. For instance, retail only means this list does not include Steam sales, and I'm sure that would change the position of things like The Orange Box if included.
