Maybe the Best Buy in Sh*tcrack where you live...but here 3 blocks from Pixar Animation, the Best Buy has Day One gear, a great staff and a well stocked and managed SWAS.

Perhaps if Apple didn't routinely and regularly screw over the channel, resellers wouldn't have to institute policies to meet out stock.

What Apple *says* and what they *do* are not in any way necessarily...congruent.

Please point us to the FaceTime specification so that we may all write FaceTime clients for any and all platforms...seeing how Apple has offered it as an "open standard".

You can actually watch hulu on your tv via AirPlay. There is no option for it, but
If you play around a bit, you'll stumble onto it. I've made it work on both the iPad and iPhone 4.

Start with YouTube and the path forward will avail itself to you with a little messing around.

Sadly, I am guessing this will be fixed in like 4.3.1 since hulu's broadcast masters seem to think that a TV is a magical box or something and what you watch on a computer is different from watching the same thing on a tv.

There is far more evidence that Apple is coming out with a multitouch enhanced desktop os for laptops than a "Mac OS X" tablet.

As Erica well knows, Mac OS X and iOS are at about 95% feature-parity at the API level. What Apple appears to be doing is exactly as they said: iOS-a-fying Mac OS X *where it makes sense*...essentially (I think/my opinion) to have the world's only laptops that work like iPads.

I mean...they aren't even hiding this. They have figured out how to get that experience without actually having to directly touch the screen and seem to be spending a LOT of engineering effort on making it work.

The SD slot on the Xoom doesn't even work properly (yet)?

I would smack someone @ AAPL if they shipped an iPad that way. Just sayin'.

Apple has a solution for making "fake" mobile multitasking look like "real" fake mobile multitasking: Mission Control.

iOS is perfectly capable of showing you screenshots as "windows" then letting you pick the one you want and zooming in.

Really, this seems to be the "multitasking" complaint: not that it doesn't do it (iOS clearly does) but because it doesn't *look* like a multi-windowed version of MT...it isn't"real multitasking".

The funny this is [sorry, this entire part has to be removed because it refers to software I've received under NDA] as well, so folks may as well get used to it.

There are technical reasons why this happen not directly related to RAM, believe it or not.

It is more related to cpu time. We iOS devs were told several revisions back what to do. Some have done it. Their apps don't do this.
