Start off a movie with Batman trying to fight off some specific 'real world' type baddy, and having major issues. All of a sudden, this bolt of blue or green comes out of the sky and takes out whoever he's fighting. This gets Batman's attention, and he hunts down either Superman or Green Lantern, who are already aware of other super powered characters, and the story goes from there. We essentially join the Justice League already in progress from the Batman world...

Also, it's funny you mention "Go Truman" without including Gary Sinise in the game...
