The Queue: Ask the beta testers

I did read her hair was going to "turn white from the shock" possibly. I thought that was an incredibly lame rip off of Storm from X-men.

You ... you ... think that hair turning white from shock was made up by Marvel? Just how young are you?!?

The comment system has its flaws. Comments often appear in the wrong place because of the commenters themselves, though.

Reply buttons appear on the "root" comments, the ones that (like this one) aren't replies to other comments. "Reply" comments, the ones that are attached to "root" comments", don't have Reply buttons. To respond to a "reply" comment, you are to use the Reply button on its "root" comment. A message will appear that you are replying to the author of the root comment. Your message will appear also attached to the root comment, and below the one you are responding to.

Since reply comments don't have Reply buttons, however, many people simply go to the "Your comments:" box at the bottom--the one I'm typing this comment in now--and type their reply, not realizing that computers can't read their minds. As far as the system knows, the commenter is creating a new root comment. If commenters took a moment to think about what they were doing and where they were doing it, we'd have far, far fewer cries of "REPLY FAIL!!!!!"

After people realize that testing is a buggy, unstable process and that they won't get to save any of the progress they make

Prediction: The #1 in-game chat comment during the Mists of Panderia beta test will be "We have to start over when the beta's over?!? @#$@#$@#"

I do have a car, but don't drive it very often; driving in the city's a pain.
