May 1st 2006 12:02PM (Engadget)Wii know, wii feel the same way
Apr 28th 2006 12:03PM (Engadget)And even though they're idiots, they're still people that might have bought the console, and put money in Nintendo's pockets, and now aren't. I love all the fanboys acting like they are the majority- the people who were going to buy it anyway, no matter what it's marketed like.
Even if you don't agree with them, some people's decisions do come down to image, lifestyle, and branding. Sorry this ain't your utopia, where we all jack with our Wiis all day and say "it doesn't matter what it's called, and if you buy it based on the name or not you're an idiot"

Gary Shapiro and the CEA take a stand
Apr 27th 2006 8:27PM (Engadget)The black market feeds itself, and if you honestly believe cutting out the person on the bottom doesn't mean the pushers will simply find another buyer, you're as delusional as the people who lock kids up for smoking weed.
You can't lock up enough at the bottom to keep the top stagnant. There's never going to be a time when someone with thousands of dollars of Illegal Whatever (Heroin, Music) sits on it just cause there aren't enough buyers.
