It is BS that USPS suggests Gamefly change their packaging.
As a subscriber to both Netflix and Gamefly, GF clearly has much sturdier shipping packages.
In terms of shipping speeds, you need to understand movies and games are different. You won't generally hang onto a movie for a month or two but with games you do. GF can only ship when other folks return and increasing stock levels will also increase cost.
I have a Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 from Logitech. My iPhone 3G used to place nice with it and the remote control could change songs etc. Now when I dock my phone it states "this device was not made for the iPhone" and the remote does not work.
It worked before but not since the 3.0 upgrade. Maybe it is related.
I have to say I don't agree with the article. I think the upgrade is very useful and allows me to get to movies that aren't on my list (new arrivals).
It is not a fully functional interface on your xbox and I (for once) agree with MS that I don't really need it to be.
I'll add that in addition to new functionality, the movies stream at a much higher rate for me. I only have 1.5mbps AT&T DSL service. Normally the movie would start out pretty fuzzy and, not long into the movie, downstep to an even fuzzier, almost unwatchable, bitrate.
Now the movies are relatively clear and don't seem to need to downstep half way through.

All in all, I am very happy with the update.

Jun 17th 2009 2:45PM (TUAW.com)I had the same problem with Wi-Fi being grayed out. I reset, reinstalled, tried everything.
Essentially, if the baseband update gets mucked up, you will get wifi grayed. There is no way to fix it.
In the end I had to take it back to the apple store. Being under warranty, they swapped my current phone for a brand new one. Thanks Apple.
