New 360 warranty: is it enough?

Jul 5th 2007 5:47PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Put it this way, after pay £300 for a console, another couple of hundered for a few games, more for 4 controllers... I've paid out so much already I was forced to pay for the repairs £80 repairs after it popped. This announcement came just at the right time for me.

Now if only they could start rolling out a video marketplace to non-US citizens...

360's Warranty extended to THREE years!

Sweet - they just extended my repair time from 15 days to 25 WORKING days for the sum of £80. I complained and they offered me a little something in compensation, I doubt they'd do that after the announcement.

Microsoft has had to extend the fix time in england due to repairs - helps if you ask what they are offering customers to compensate.

The person on their 37th console should stop frying them in chip oil, it never helps.

Live security curbs overseas movie downloads

I think what NotOfThisEarth says sums it up entirely. Give everyone some added value! I'd love to see them do a deal here in the UK getting the BBC's Plaent Earth series in HD, or cheap downloads of The Office. In fact they'd probably find that the BBC would be more than happy to release these for cheap (being a non profit government organisation)

I think we'll see in the distant future the media agencies embracing the internet by releasing their content globally, rather than staggering releases. Surely by doing this they are only forcing bootleggers to whack episodes of Lost online months before they come out overseas.

Hell - Peter Jackson released LOTR globally. We just need the TV companies to wise up.
