I always thought that early Americans would have an accent closer to the British accent (correct me if I'm hideously wrong). I just wanted this portrayal of that time period to be more accurate (Assassin's Creed's skewed history notwithstanding). The voice acting sounds great, though, so I can't complain.

I also hope Ben Franklin is a big part of the game, that guy is great.

I too have uninstalled it after my first try, but now I'm a diehard fan of an incredibly satisfying game. I implore you to try again, really I do, because I KNOW you will love it, since you said you showed interest in it already. Yes, it takes a lot of getting used to, but after a while you will realize that the graphics are the most important part of the game. You can tell exactly what is happening at a glance. The game is so detailed that no graphical system can display it in any satisfying fashion.

I've been trying to get as many people as possible to give it a serious try, and I am deeply saddened by those that quit after only giving it 5 minutes. So I ask of you to give it another go, there is a very detailed wiki that will help you every step of the way!

The video shows them using mcedit only to make the large clearing for the tower. Why they didn't do that by hand is anyone's guess.

Aw, I thought that was a stereogram, I was disappointed that it wasn't.

Ok, I hate to be nit-picky, but this is annoying the hell out of me. It isn't a BLIMP, a "blimp" is a NON-rigid airship, what he just destroyed is a RIGID airship (often called a zeppelin).

Now that I got that out of my system - this game looks awesome. A different take on the now trite idea of the WWII game is exactly what we need.

This video was almost painful for me to watch. They really didn't explain anything. For one, it IS complicated, gamers are just used to it. Also, hooking up a CD player to one's TV usually requires Y-cables and fumbling around behind the television. There are some senior citizens that are incredible at games, of this there is no doubt, but games are foreign to a lot of people of all ages (hopefully the Wii will help that situation). There comes an age as well were you really can't learn anything new easily or with any success. This isn't "two buttons" we are talking about, the truth is (OMG!): at least 10 buttons, and combinations thereof, timed presses, button sequences, context sensitivity, HUDs, maps, analogue movement, etc.

It's like teaching someone who doesn't know that aircraft exist how to fly a helicopter.

The main reason I call the other console media centres is because they can download movies, game demos, TV shows, game trailers, play your music collection (even from your PC) and stored movies. And the XBOX 360 can even play music while you are playing games. If that doesn't make them media centers, nothing will. The Wii has none of that. It doesn't subtract from the system's fun factor or worth (hell, it adds to the worth), but as this goes on consoles will start having less of a focus on games, and more on these type of features. All I'm saying is that I wouldn't put them all against each other in the console race, because there is so much more you can do with the XBOX 360 and PS3 that warrants buying it even if you never plan to play games. I agree with Mr. Wright, and this is why I agree. No one has to believe any of it.

I agree with him, the other consoles actually should be labeled "media centres", which is exactly what they are. The Wii is closer to a dedicated video game console (just like the good ol' days...oh God, nostalgia.). I am not saying the other consoles are bad, but they are both media-heavy and not made by video game companies.

Ok, that comment was funnier than the video. But mostly because it reminds me how I got my name.
