DS Daily: The pretty colors

May 17th 2008 11:49AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
A black one, with 2 broad white stripes across it (just like a Mini Cooper car - or Dodge Viper)

DS Daily: The clamshell

I love sleep mode. Energy saving and lovely when someone interrupts your game.

And fortunately, Moonshell keeps playing my music, when I close it. So now I've ditched my mp3 player, and replaced it with my DS...

Fuck me, I love the DS!

Hori Charge Stand is style over substance, just our thing

Finally, magic is fun

Jan 30th 2008 9:29PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Uhm... Come again ?

This game: teaches you magic tricks .. ? Or.. Showes you magic tricks ? (can't really imagine a "game" from the latter)

But the entry doesn't really spell it out..

"But what if magic tricks could be a recreational activity? Something that people could do for entertainment?"
- Okay, cool, it TEACHES ppl the tricks..

Vs.

" [...] Magic Made Fun takes magic, which is an important life skill, and makes it fun. No longer will you have to force your kids to practice their card tricks!"
- Uhm.. Hasn't magic always been fun? And how can an instruction teach you tricks that you don't have to practice? And how can it "persuade" ppl into practicing? The goal is still the same - to learn how to "do" magic.

Rather unclear entry.. Not that I had to write this comment, and split words.. But I found it somewhat confusing the first time I read it.

DS Daily: Download stations

Jan 30th 2008 9:26AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I live in Copenhagen, Denmark.. I wouldn't know where to go to download anything for my DS.. (except for the stuff I'm already downloading, to my R4)

But unfortunately, is "DS Download Play" a button I have yet to succesfully touch.

DS Fanboy Poll: Education vs. exercise, DS vs. Wii

Jan 28th 2008 3:32PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Yea, it would be really nice if they at least recommended the DS system to the pupils, recognizing the effect.

As for Wii, I think it would totally fail in schools.
1st, you don't get _that_ much exercise, not enough to cancel a gym class, anyhow.
2nd, think of all the broken controllers, from children losing/dropping them - a clear no-go.

DS Fanboy Poll: Education vs. exercise, DS vs. Wii

I was thinking the other day: If I had had My French Coach, while I was still in school, learning french, then I would probably have learned more than I did. It's totally brilliant.

So if there is any kids out there, reading this (and have French in their school): BUY/MAKE/DOWNLOAD My French Coach - You won't regret it.
