Sega's Dreamcast turns 10, inspires us to find that VMU and finish Shenmue

Spawn??? What about Spawn the arcade game, where McFarlane said that they would publish all the requirements to get all the extra characters and they never did...

What about Quake III? I can't tell you how many hours I spent on that game online and how much fun that was... Unreal tournament??

If a game deserved a sequal it was Alien Front Online; except this time please make the difficulty adjustable! That thing is damn hard!

Marvel vs. Capcom... WOW, that was freakin' awesome game.

I think I'm going to power up that puppy tonight on my 25" LCD through that VGA port...

Capps: DLC may be the answer to stop the second hand market

Epic fails to understand 3 things:

1. Not every game is a Gears of War, or Halo, or Orange Box or Bioshock. For each one of these there are about 30 or so less than stellar titles that would be worth picking up in the used market.

2. When we pay $60 for a game, we are not paying for the disk and/or packaging; we are paying for the rights to use that software and when we trade/sell the game we are essentially transferring the rights of usage. Epic is proposing that for the same price selling an incomplete game.

3. As XBLA proves the situation will take care of itself probably by the next generation of game systems where all the games will be downloadable and places like gamestop will have to adapt (and probably will)

Epic you have have every right to make money as the $60+ bucks I just spent of GOW2 Limted edition will attest, but turn the greed down a notch and let technology solve the issue without a heavy handed approach that may do you (and the industry as a whole) more harm than good...

Heck why not enable the 360 to use a USB hard drive? Doesn't Microsoft already get $$$$ from manufacturers to display the Vista logo?

New Lumenlab 1000 lumens projector on the cheap

May 14th 2007 1:23PM (Engadget)
The little evo is nice. Just got it last Friday and have been playing with it all weekend.

I ran it through best and worse case scenerios. The best being a game called Rampage Total Destruction (brite colors, big cool monsters) for the gamecube and worse being the DVD for the Sci Fi Network show "Battle star Galactica" (purposely filmed grainy and with low contrast in colors.

For a projector newbie and on a white wall it looked good (FAR, FAR, FAR BETTER than the Zoombox that I tried). To darken my room I purchased black felt at Walmart (about $3.50 yd) and it worked wonderfully.

Once I have the screen mounted and the component video hooked up will post videos.

Presently I'm using S-Video, soon I will upgrade to component.

It's a great projector which is perfect for those of us that aren't too handy and want value/money as opposed to the similar ones from Epson and Infocus which have FAR more expensive bulbs somewhat more expensive units and prices.

Though if the misses likes it, I may try my hand at a DIY kit from Lumen and build a better one.

She's not a projector fan presently, she may change her tune watching a movie from 27" to over 60" (in my small computer room). We will see.
