Hmm...I finished Dark Mirror. Correct me if I'm wrong here but I believe they said the kid was not Gabe's. So...this does not bode well for the story of Logan's Shadow. Oh well, I'll definitely play it anyway.

If you really think Halo is the worst written game ever, you're a moron. It's not Shakespeare, but relative to the writing in other games, it is Shakespeare. Off the top of my head the only thing that could clearly best it in this category is Planescape: Torment. Not to sound xenophobic but the simple fact that it isn't translated makes it better written than about 80% of (console) games. I do enjoy the Halo series primarily because of the story, and actually I do have good taste and am fairly intelligent (my IQ is indeed above room temp.)Haters need to stop hatin!
