Grace Digital Allegro review

May 6th 2010 6:30PM (Engadget)
@darex you'll also need to separate these by budget. no way i'm paying $300-500 for the revo/pure, when the squeezebox radio at $150 works just as well as the grace allegro.

ATI's six-screen Eyefinity madness reviewed, fatal flaw found

Feb 26th 2010 4:31AM (Engadget)
Sounds like eyefinity would give the player an unfair advantage because they have a larger field of vision and can see more things going on at once. I think not being able to zoom out very far in starcraft2 was purposely implemented to be fair (not sure if that was justified).

@CJisohsocool in six months apple will drop the price by several hundred and it will be better, but they won't refund the money back to the early adopters 0:)

First Else hands-on at CES: 'still alive and kicking'

Jan 11th 2010 2:24AM (Engadget)
@Jonathan K Agree that it looks nice and consumers like something that looks nice. Though this is yet *another* app store developers will have to deal with and another interface standard they have to work with? If they don't have an app store, not sure if it'll win everyone over. Motorola razr was successful because of its design, despite its limited functionality, but that was many years ago in a different setting. Now it's all about smart phone and your appstore. I love the interface, I just don't know if they'll make it easy to develop for, or if developers will follow its GUI guidelines.

@Biomech i've learned in the past to use serif fonts for reading text, and only use sans-serif for very large font text, like on a sign or a flyer. but this is for print text, maybe it changed a bit on the web. sans-serif is more easily displayed on a monitor than serif font (has more curves to it).
