Driver: San Francisco dev diary talks up Tanner

Jun 29th 2011 1:11AM (Joystiq)
If they can bring back the fun of Driver (as opposed to everything since), I'm there. I loved that game.

Review: 2011 Dodge Durango

Feb 22nd 2011 1:23PM (Autoblog)
The new Durango certainly looks like a good truck and all indications are that they have succeeded in creating one that stands on it's own merit. If I was looking for this type of car, it (and the Ford) would have to be at the top of the list. I like this more than the Japanese and European alternatives, that's certain.

Oh, and a very entertaining review, as well. Thanks!

Review: 2012 Mazda5

Feb 15th 2011 1:20PM (Autoblog)
Good luck. I lost that argument. I completely lost that argument. We had a small hatch as our main car and a two-seater pickup as our second and with two kids, it was inconvenient (truck was lacking AC and old enough it wasn't as safe). But as the primary vehicle, the hatchback (Matrix with a manual) was perfectly acceptable for everything we needed (and still a bit fun while getting 30mpg). So when the truck died, we had already started looking for a second. My favorites included the Mazda5 (and some sedans and small CUVs), but she wanted the Traverse or Highlander. Though the Outback was a close second, the Highlander (with the larger than normal discounts) ended up winning. It's fine - spacious, functional, etc - but it's an appliance. I've already told her that the next car is my choice. And it will have a manual and be more fun to drive. (Though it's years away, the Mazda5 & C-Max are on the list.)

Infiniti Etherea Concept bows ahead of Geneva debut

Ugh. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. That looks like it was designed by the people at Mitsuoka... (look up the Orochi)

Zero Motorcycles 2011 lineup reveals dramatic changes [w/video]

The Brammo Enertia Plus has a range of 80 miles, if you really want an electric. Though the site lists it as a Pre-Order, so don't know when/if it will be available. Looks to be around the same price, or a little cheaper to start...

Detroit 2011: 2012 Hyundai Veloster reinvents the affordable sports coupe

A little odd, but I like it. It looks like it could be a lot of fun. It may be closer in spirit to the CRX than the CRZ...

Monday Morning Discussion: 'Wicked' as a TV Miniseries or Movie?

Jan 10th 2011 11:13AM (Moviefone Blog)
I thought the book was really good, so I am all for this. Haven't seen the musical (yet), so I can't comment on that.

Exclusive 'Being Human' Clip, Plus T-Shirt and Syfy iPod Giveaway

Jan 10th 2011 11:11AM (AOL TV)
The BBC version of the show is really good, so I would normally be very wary for something like this. But I am a huge SyFy fan, so I am more optimistic than expected.

First Drive: 2011 Aston Martin V12 Vantage

Jan 5th 2011 12:31PM (Autoblog)
Jealous.

I prefer the cleaner hood of the standard Vantage, but this is still a beautiful car. Even my wife, who is not a car person, has this on her list if we win a big jackpot... I've seen some Vantages (no v12s, I think) and DBs out here and as beautiful as the pictures are, they do not do them justice.

Tomica returns to U.S. with 20 diecast cars

Dec 28th 2010 10:26AM (Autoblog)
I know they look cheap even though they cost $5 (when Hot Wheels and Matchbox can be found for $0.50 to $1.80). And the fact that the RX-8 is shown as a police and fire departmental vehicles is a bit lame. But c'mon! I want to live in a world where one of the ugliest cars EVER, the Mitsuoka Orochi, gets it's own diecast toy! And the Mazda5 has one too! Now, where's the Camry or the Corolla... maybe a Cobalt? Even better, where's that Sebring?
