This is a good deal... but it looks like you only get a discount from the initial gold account that you convert. If you add other family members with gold accounts into the family pack, it extends the length of your subscription instead of making the initial cost lower. Is that what everyone else is seeing?

in the press event they had a slide showing the 120GB Elite for $299... and the 250GB slim with wireless for $299. Why buy the Elite?
