NVIDIA offers up GeForce 3D Vision, takes WoW players further down the rabbit hole

Jan 7th 2009 9:18PM (Engadget)
I've owned a pair of 3D glasses for 4 years now, I remember playing UT2004 with them and having a blast. I bought them for $99 though. Granted they worked only with CRT monitors, but a $600 setup that will be obsolete in a year if not less with all the new 3D technologies being developed, I don't understand the justification of such purchase.

Overheard: polite clapping for Nintendo is quite enough, fanboys

These are gamers reporting games. Gaming in general is supposed to be ALL about fun. These are reporters that are passionate about the subject that they are reporting about. I saw all of the E3 press conferences and have to say that I had no problem with how the reporter's reactions.

Pre-E3: MMO roundup [update 6]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I read that NCSoft will show off the third GuildWars (You could also see it as a second expansion, but seeing as they offer the same if not bigger gameplay and are stand alone I believe that they are full games).

Metareview - Silent Hill (the movie)

Apr 24th 2006 2:12PM (Joystiq)
I don't understand why all the critics disliked this movie. I've never played the series, but I know what the series are about and what the feel like (I've seen screenshots, movies, and a friend of mine playing it once). I thought the movie was excellent, I haven't been this intertained in the movie theater for quite some time now. The setting, the characters and even the camera angles had the feel of the series. The parts that they say "dragged on" were the story parts that I though were required for this type of a movie. Cant wait till the uncut edition comes out.

Nintendo WiFi surpasses 1 million players

Mar 7th 2006 8:55PM (Joystiq)
Gotta question though, how do they know that it's the same player if he's playing two different games? I thought the only thing consistent is the friend code that's to my understanding attached to the game card itself. So if I play Animal Crossing and then Mario Kart does Nintendo see it as two players or a single player playing two different games.

Cars and Trauma Center are Revolution bound

Mar 6th 2006 12:05PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Not that I would be into that kind of thing, but couldn't they make trauma center a game to be a psychopath. You know, like in the movies where they get random bodies and perform nasty "experiments". I realy am not sure I would have any enjoyment out of it, but still that's some inovation right there. At least now the psychos will do it in a game instead of a real person.

POLL: How much will Revolution games retail for?

Mar 5th 2006 12:02AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I actualy think that a good number of the titles will be $30 while the rest would be $40 and MABY 2 or 3 titles at $50.
