i don't understand why they are saying this. don't they have faith in their franchises? the psp install base has increased significantly thanks to them. Is it so hard to see that FF13 and versus 13 will do the same for the ps3... and kingdom hearts 3. they will contribute to ps3's momentum and vice versa. and most importantly, there is no way they won't make a significant amount of money on this franchise. I wish he hadn't made it sound like such a BURDEN to keep up these great franchises.

since the past year, things did get better for Sony even with a sketchy line up. now with heavy hitters such as MGS4 and Killzone 2, and FF13 and Tekken, and GT5, and White Knight Story, and maybe Little Big Planet, and etc, how can you not be optimistic? those are familiar franchises, as oppose to new ip's that dominated the ps3 library of exclusives. I know, i know - r&c didn't sell well, and i really don't know why. I'm still enjoying it, since i haven't finished it.

Those titles make the present feel insignificant, in terms of gaming on the ps3.

final fantasy versus 13 is from the creators of kingdom hearts and will play like kingdom hearts. rather than just being an rpg, it's an action rpg. disney characters and little boys vs androgenous boys and adults. i go with the latter, though both sound creepy if you don't know the context.

wat's wrong with home? it isn't a game. it's a free online community with 3d avatars. you walk around and meet other gamers and pair up for multiplayer. and i guess access some games inside it like billiards and arcade stuff.

you don't have to use the interface, you can just connect to multiplayer the old fashion way. this i something extra so why not?

sometimes the psp feels obsolete.

i have the older model with custom firmware, so i can play ps1 games and use cheats on psp and ps1 games.

the psp games are fine - pick up jean d'arc and silent hill.

but i got it mainly to play ps1 games like ff7, and snes games like final fantasy 3 and 2, chrono trigger, secret of mana, etc.

but as someone has mentioned, once the nostalgia effect wears off - it only takes a few minutes or a few in game frustration - then you forget about the psp, and just play with the consoles.

i bring my psp everywhere, so whenever i have to wait, like when my car is getting serviced, or at a waiting room for the dentist or doctor, i intend to play it. notice i used the word intend. during these moments, i just end up napping, because i was usually up late the night before playing with the consoles.

so if you're like me and get sleepy whenever you try to play it OUTSIDE your home, i would recommend it, because sometimes it's difficult to take a nap while your waiting.

it was quiet challenging, but satisfying. i just wished they included invincibility as one of the cheats you can unlock.

you're not critical of the xbox360fanboys that insult the ps3 owners
but you are critical of the ps3fanboys who defend their console.

last time i checked, applying double standard makes you a hypocrite.
