Gears of Belt!!!1ONE!

But seriously looks like a fun mindless action game. Tecmo might not have the strongest art team but they always deliver on mechanics (at least under itagaki) lets hope this one will deliver

The exodus continues: Jason Ocampo leaving Gamespot

The last months really killed off one of my favourite Podcasts on the net. Ironicly the Hotspot had its peaks when it made fun of ridiculous marketing campaigns like Ubisoft's Haze Korn songapaluza.
It'll be missed. I hope the arrowpointingdown Podcast will continue the Hotspots legacy.

Zero Punctuation reviews Halo 3, hates it

Have you ever played the first Unreal Tournament, Quake, Half Life, Deus Ex, TFC, CS.

I think Halo is THE game to play when you are into CONSOLE FPS but there have always been better franchises for the PC market.

Yet I've to give Halo the best (read "most active") community award, atleast for America.

Joystiq hands-on: Ontamarama (DS)

there is definitely potential. I like the whole puyo pop vibe and the non-human character design. Maby if they resolve the circling issue which really made me go mad i might give this game a shot.

Joystiq hands-on: Ontamarama (DS)

The Famitsu scores for Ontama Onpu-tou Hen (jpn. name) are 7 / 4 / 6 / 6 - (23/40) and having played the game I agree. The game has some serious design flaws.

1. The game forces you into multi-tasking, while the button pressing is rhythmic the blob tapping isn't.

2. The music lacks beat

3. The rhythm bar that you will focus most of the time is on top of the bottom screen which makes it hard to follow the blobs that pop up. this could have been solved by simply putting the bar in the middle of the screen.

4. you often have to draw cicles quick, but they have to be perfectly closed which gets really frustrating in higher levels

EA chief: 'biggest battle will be in Europe'

May 18th 2007 7:22PM (Joystiq)
I'll present you the sales of Germany:
Console Name|April Sales|Overall Sales
Wii |20,000 |222,000 (Dec06)
PS3 |16,000 |70,500 (Mar07)
Xbox360 |9,500 |262,000 (Dec05)

I don't know about the UK which is probably the bigggest market in Europe but looking at this the European market doesn't look too important.
There is also the issue of localization, which always made it expensive to release a title in Europe. Also the biggest IP's are either from Asia or the US
