Android App Inventor lets you be the developer (video)

Jul 12th 2010 4:23AM (Engadget)
as if it hasn't been full of crap since the Droid came out. I'm a huge android supporter (G1, now N1), but honestly, there's tons of spammy goodness in the market.

LG Ally review

Not sure if this was mentioned, but in the first video Google Navigation was running in the background, which would definitely account for the jerkiness throughout the video

How would you change Google's Nexus One?

Honestly, I can't ask for much more, its virtually perfect for me. The only thing I miss from my g1 (besides the keyboard) is the chin, a little chin would make it a bit more comfortable to hold. Also more uni-body casing like the legend would be excellent

i kinda have to agree with you. I was skeptical of Sense, but recently checked it out on an Eris and was supremely impressed

How would you change Motorola's Droid?

The G1's keyboard and GSM, so basically the G1 running cyanogen which is essentially the same thing.

It's a nice phone, but speed testing it against my G1 with cyanogen it couldn't compete

How would you change the netbook as we know it?

Sep 12th 2009 4:30AM (Engadget)
A Lenovo X300, but not as thin, and basically with the same internal specs as most netbooks. But give me a higher res matte LED backlit screen.

I have a lenovo T400 and it's the best notebook computer I've ever seen or used, a slightly smaller and lower powered one would be what I expect out of a laptop, however mine is plenty light weight, compact and has killer performance and battery life, it is about 1200 dollars above the normal netbook price though.

Pandora announces premium features and new desktop app

May 20th 2009 8:26PM (Download Squad)
I upgraded the second I saw this. Not even for the features, I'm running Linux and it doesn't look like the desktop app is supported on Linux, I just feel they deserve some of my money based on how often I use their service.
