The night when BC came in, I was playing Poker with some colleagues at work. I decided to boycot the first night so as to avoid the big rush.
Considering the overall look and behavior of the guys around the table, they had more like "poker faces" than "mmorpg nerds".
We were 5 of us left at 11PM. I decided to push all my coins in and try to, at least, have a very general overview of the game at midnight.
The guy to my left pushed all-in as well, and said "Ok guys, i am probably out of the table but i'm gonna do some burning crusade before going to sleep".
And both of us had a big laugh, hoping for the first time of my life that my opponent win the hand so as to go home play some BC.

My favourite is a 30 something quest given by some NPC in the Thousand Needles called : Dorn Plainstalker.

It starts with the test of strength, then test of faith and finally test of lore.

The test of faith is really fun, you are basically teleported to the top of one of the needles and supposed to jump so as to prove your faith.

The quest brings you to discover the tunnel between Stonetalon Mountains and Ashenvale.

I started in Ultima Online but quickly moved to Everquest, my very best MMO experience.

WoW is far better as a game from every single aspect.
But the old EQ community had something I will never ever forget. People were so friendly and mature.
There was a great proportion of people who knew how to keep it friendly while challenging.

I guess doing any kind of instance in BC will require some T2/T3 gear, level is only a part of the overall power of a wow character.

It would solve the problem.
People who are already equiped with T2/T3 will be able to get better loots.
The others will have hard times in BC without finishing MC/AQ/BWL first.

I am not in the beta, so cannot confirm though.

I am not sure you guys from the other side of the Atlantic know about Cartographe project.
It is french and available in english as well.
You should definitely give it a try since it is much more convenient than any of the tools mentionned above.

The most difficult quest of all was the hunter epic quest for me.

You need to kill those 4 mobs alone, without your pet, a great amount of skill is required.
A lot of fun but it gets really annoying when you miss the kill because of an additionnal mob aggroing, or because of an ally player.

I recently abandonned WoW and decided to go back to Everquest since they are introducing a new concept : Progression Server. Thus being able to revive the old times and most of all the old community of passioned players.

WoW is the opposite. Enough.

From my point of view, as a MMO veterant, WoW's dings are not real dings.
It is far too easy to grind a character in this game.

I am coming up with my favourite ding, which was back in the time of Everquest, when i first reached level 60 (max level before Planes of Power extension).
I had 55 days played when i reached that level and 6 months of fun behind me.

My next MMO will be Vangard SOH from the creators of Everquest.

This game is promising. And thousands of players are still playing WoW for now but will jump to Vanguard as soon as it is relased.
