Four Android myths lazy analysts love

"Your stock doesn't magically go higher because you make good products."

Uh, yeah it does. You make great products when you have great management. That affects demand and prices.

You said so yourself - Apple doesn't pay dividends on their shares. A company with a stock price @ $3XX/share with NO dividends!? I don't think investors are blind to a good product succeeding in the marketplace.

Four Android myths lazy analysts love

That argument would work, IF all of the android phones making up that 37% market share were made by one manufacturer, one set of support/retail, etc etc.

Do you develop for a mobile platform? It's more than just 'how many eyes' when it comes to making software.

Deep thoughts: Why Android's market share doesn't matter

iOS is better than android - to me and a large of number users.

Maybe you need a point before you can tell others to 'get over themselves'.

Deep thoughts: Why Android's market share doesn't matter

Your comment incredibly arrogant as well. In your feature envy you've completely missed the point; nobody is asking you to buy into iOS. The whole point is, android is only really relevant because of those who chose not to buy an iPhone. There's enough market for everyone.

Apple reportedly yet to order iPhone 5 parts

@mack:

On the contrary, with the kind of rumors were seeing, iOS 5 delayed, no new iPhone chatter, cloud/data center built - and what I'm assuming being readied for something.

I believe this will be big. What's their stock price @? There's still plenty of my sky to rise to.

T-Mobile says no iPhone

@ Doc Rock: You mean the network that only ranked one place higher on the lower side of the rankings than AT&T's?

If they REALLY cared about improving their network, $39 billion can buy a lot of infrastructure. However what you DON'T do is gobble up the only other major GSM carrier, shuffle all their users onto your crappy network and then feign creating a 'next generation' network by continuing to work on a former company's very low ranked '4G' network.

This is CLEARLY a power grab only in their self-interest. I suppose that's how business works however the only person who are winning are AT&T's stakeholders.

Six reasons iPad 2 will be a huge success for Apple

Really? If I remember correctly, the latest 'me too' Xoom won't even have flash for the first few weeks. The others claiming to be 'no compromise' aren't even for sale yet. And judging by the previous flash implementation examples in Android, seems like you're still compromising.

The lack of flash really doesn't bother me. Personally I can save all my flash needs until I'm in front of a real computer, and judging by the sales numbers a number of others agree.

Think you're gonna get a 'full desktop'/'seamless' experience for anywhere even near $100 of the iPad's price? Dream on. Google may try but Apple still executes better than the rest.

Exactly. Not unlike what happened with the iPhone 3G and the 1st iPhone.

Deciding on a tablet by comparing specs? You've missed the point

@ Aedile -

If the question really came down to the location of the shifter, then mileage return really would be the least of your worries. I doubt people who care about the position and ergonomics are really that worried about something like mileage return.

You have an apt analogy - but at the same that doesn't explain why people drop choices shortly after test drives rather simply 'spec-shopping.

Report: Detroit's RoboCop statue now fully funded

@Epix: what else do you want us to do? From the outside the ineptitude that would allow something like this wouldn't surprise us; sounds like the same ineptitude that allowed GM to do what it did to Michigan.
