I have no desire whatsoever to buy this game. At all.

As a Gamecrazy employee, I can say that there are two major types of game store: The game-oriented store, and the sales-oriented store. Game-oriented stores know what they're talking about, which games are rare, what will be a hit, etc. My store, in particular, was full of employees that lamented various "cult classics" (psychonauts, etc.) that never became popular. Sales-oriented stores are the ones full of douchebags that go out on the floor to harass the customer and pitch pre-orders/service contracts.

I've worked at both.

Definitely witches. The Mana universe is cool and all, but I've got a grudge against Rabites ever since Secret of Mana.

DS Daily: Touchscreen and traditional

Aug 10th 2007 9:38AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I almost said "D-pad, ABSOLUTELY." But it really does depend on the game. For example, I wouldn't want to play a touchscreen-only Tetris, but imagine using the D-pad on Trauma Center: Under the Knife. My problem is when developers decide to force their game to fit the novel control scheme just for the sake of "innovation:" I'm going to get Phantom Hourglass, but the control scheme looks like it's going to be completely awful. It's an example of deciding that they HAVE to use these amazing new things just to keep things "fresh" and "exciting," and if you ask me, it's more like sacrificing your loyal supporters for the sake of attracting a few "non-gamers."

DS Daily: One more time

Based on our response to the original announcement, you guys pretty much already know the answer is yes we do.

I was talking to a friend about it, and my point is that even IF I don't want FF IV again (I do, SO HARD) - buying remakes means they will make OTHER ONES TOO. It's WORTH re-purchasing FF IV if it means I get a remake of Secret of Mana.
