Welsh speakers wanted for game translation project

That's the whole point of the story. Literally, the article is about how it doesn't make sense for the developer to translate the game. I'm not trying to convince anyone otherwise.
The fact that the language is welsh is kind of irrelevant. I have no idea where the developers are based. Are they even in Britain? Maybe they just thought that since the game was based on Welsh folklore it would be kind of neat if it could be translated into Welsh.
The interesting part is that they're opening up a part of the development to the community. If I knew Welsh, I would be stoked to put an experience like that on my resume.
Besides it's not like its ridiculous for a gaming blog to get the word out about a potentially interesting but under-marketed game.

Aug 13th 2009 3:29AM (Joystiq)Why is this a non-story? Content regardless, are you so inundated by news posts on Joystiq that this is impeding your access to what you see as more valuable content?
I can't understand what it is you're criticizing. Are you criticizing the release of a game based on Welsh folklore? Do you hate the Welsh?
Or are you criticizing the decidedly novel appeal of a developer to the community for volunteers to aid in the completion of an otherwise unmarketable addition to the game? Because... that kind of sounds like news.
