Hate to be a stickler, but the Halo fan in me feels compelled to point out Master Chief is white (possibly even albino) in the books. Your point still holds strong though because the other favorite and staple of Halo, Sgt. Johnson, is black and provides much of the human dialect that the silent Chief doesn't.
