Video: Motorola Aura in action

Jan 12th 2009 1:33AM (Engadget)
Holy crap, what's happened to the Engadget community?! Can't a single news post go by without a tidal wave of negative comments? C'mon guys, it's a gadget, gadget is in the site's name. Whether YOU like the item or not doesn't mean you have to constantly barrage those of us seriously discussing the pros and cons of the item in question with your horribly biased and unfounded hatred against it. At least come up with a real reason to hate the thing other than, "ZOmG TEH MOTOROLA IS TEH GAYEST S*** EVAR O_o". Grow up guys.

In relation to the real topic, this fone looks gorgeous. I haven't seen a fone that literally made me drool since I lived in Japan. That screen looked amazing, and I've always been one for cogs and gears, the rotating mechanism looks amazing. Granted, the menu looked sluggish and the buttons were way too small, but I'm sure this is the first in a line. They'll take this design and redefine it, make it more consumer friendly and more affordable too. I'm more for function than form, but when that day comes, I may just have to let go of my exceedingly high standard/expectations in a fone(IMHO Japanese cell fones and years ahead of any fones on the American market) and settle for one of these beauties.

Microsoft enlists Seinfeld, Gates to battle "Get a Mac" ads

"Everytime that GARBAGE came on, I got up to turn it off as quickly as possible."
-"I got up to turn it off"-
That line right there, that line totally ruined you. ?That shows one or more of at least three things.
1.You're way too old to understand the humor of Seinfeld
2.You're too poor to pay $25 dollars for a TV with a remote, just a universal remote, therefore showing that you probably have a lack of humor
3.You're too young to buy your own TV and are using an old hand-me-down from one of your parents and therefore, showing you're too young to understand the humor of Seinfeld.
Don't ridicule that which you don't have the capacity to understand.

no your not, the last 3 fone i've bought here are sliders, there are TONs of choices here! just go to any Yamada or any of the many, many electronic store here and you'll find so many fones you'd be amazed. sure there are alot of flip phones but thats mostly due to convenience. cell fones are used so much here that people rarely go anywhere without at least one in their pocket and they dont want to have to worry about accidental button presses. sure they could just put key lock on but that slows them down. Japanese people usually live rather fast paced lives, thats why most fones here have so many entertainment options, so that while they're on the train they can catch up on new or play games and stuff. cell fones here are so much more than just fones, they're the equivalent of an internet pc, a game system, camera, tv, phonebook, shedule, phone and so much more.
