Peripheral Vision: Rocketfish Rapid Fire PS3 Controller

Sep 23rd 2009 5:51PM (Joystiq)
They should really swap the R1/R2 L1/L2 button mapping on these, since most developers avoid the PS3 triggers since they're not as comfortable to use as they are on the 360.

Peripheral Vision: Rocketfish Rapid Fire PS3 Controller

I REALLY love the 360 controller, and think that just buying this might be simpler than buying one of those converters that'll let you use an actual 360 controller on the PS3.

So, thanks for the review, def keep em coming.

1) you could only play jimi hendrix songs with jimi

2) Nirvana is almost as famous for their grunge image associated with fighting the man and hating selling out as they are for their music. It's even arguable that Nirvana's sudden rise to fame and commercial success is largely what led to the singer's eventual suicide.

That's why this resonates so loudly with fans.

Big Ideas: My dream game

Psychonauts:
- clever charming and attractive art style, great character animation
- guided exploration, with new tools unlocking just out of reach areas
- occasional first person segments for aiming at times, I believe
- has magic but isn't fantasy, has tech but isn't sci fi
- hard to label: it's not quite open world, not quite just a platformer, not quite an action adventure game
- wonderful story with TONS of character

"Have I logged into HOME? Yes.
Will I ever do it again? No."

That's exactly what I was gonna say.

Bloated 17-inch MacBook Pro battery, part 4

May 23rd 2007 2:06PM (Engadget)
Yeah funny thing, I had this same problem with my 17" and I called Apple and they WOULDNT replace it for me, since I'm 5 days over my 1 year standard warranty and since I have a 17" and not a 15" (if I had a 15, they would have replaced it). Then more research, and another call (still no), then more research later pointed me to this page:

http://www.apple.com/support/macbook_macbookpro/batteryupdate/

which clearly states that, "For MacBook and MacBook Pro systems with Intel Core Duo processors, this program extends repair coverage on the battery for up to two years from the date of purchase of the computer."

So I called them yet AGAIN, and pointed this out to them and only then did they finally admit to me that I was in fact still covered because this was their own faulty product.

Terrible, terrible, terrrrrrible customer service (during my first call, the operator was shocked to hear that the 15" inches batteries [which had the recall of course] were having issues), but after enough complaining and me showing them their own press release they finally agreed to replace it.
