CircBoard offers an interesting approach to typing on an Xbox

@Complex http://s111.photobucket.com/albums/n134/im_thatoneguy/?action=view¤t=RadialKeyboardMockup.jpg My mock up. (in 2008) Which I didn't think to patent since I was certain someone else had also seen the obvious solution as I had and implemented it.

CircBoard offers an interesting approach to typing on an Xbox

@b2trumpet I emailed this idea to Microsoft (since I assumed there was prior art what with it being so obvious) in 2008.

They said they had tested it before but decided it was too difficult to understand for new users.

@Frawley "Who the hell is this Thomas Edison Guy He seems really cocky and full of himself! And really likes to brag about the quality of his light-bulbs."

He can brag all he wants. Because it's not bragging when he's just accurately describing his awesomeness. If Nikola Tesla came along and said something like "So I applied my talent for solving really hard problems..." I wouldn't see it as immodesty, just as accuracy.

@zenviolence 4:2:0 8 bit codec and 60i or 30p as my only two framerate options? Pass. And we'll have to wait to see whether it suffers from rolling shutter ala my 5D.

Fine call me a RED cultist. At least they understand that just about everyone is shotting 24p. Even for TV.

Telus turns Canadian Xbox 360s into IPTV boxes starting today

@TheBennettBrigade Not 0% but I've had 2 DVRs fail over the years and only one 360. So in that regard my Xbox is actually more reliable. Still though I get the point that a single point of failure is no good.

But if you had bothered to actually watch the movie you would have seen that you're required to still have an additional cable box so if you RROD then you can just resort to the main DVR which I assume is necessary for Cablecardesque encryption.

The facebook overwhelming contacts problem is solved in the new Live Messenger. You designate contacts as "favorites".

Seems as if extending that to the phone is inevitable.

@DavidW http://www.seattlepi.com/business/174159_electric20.html

Name changed but the 787 no longer uses the engines to power its hydraulics, AC etc. It runs off of a Fuel Cell I believe. Which is '0 emission' but still probably a greater electrical demand than can be supplied from solar exposure to the wings.

It would also probably add a lot of excess weight and reduce the efficiency of the engines beyond the electricity gained.

@wemustcontrolpeople Just like with 911. The world has gone to pot ever since the government started offering that service.
