I'm in as well. Look for the tall guy in the trenchcoat. Or maybe I'll just wear jeans...

Joyswag: Joystiq's Legendary Halo 3 Giveaway

Sep 25th 2007 1:59PM (Joystiq)
I'd hate to go along with the crowd, but I'd have to say Brutes as well. Did you see that thing where two of them drag a poor dude to (presumably) do some unseemly acts on his man-flesh? Any other Halo baddie would just kill me, but when I see brutes, I'm suddenly reminded that there are some fates worse than death.

New iMacs feature DirectX 10-compatible ATI Radeon GPUs

Aug 8th 2007 11:28AM (Joystiq)
Um, what flashing red light? I've had Macs for five years now and I've never even heard of a flashing red light - even when it crashed that one time a couple years ago.

And the reason why you buy a Mac for gaming is because it won't only be used for gaming. I personally like the idea of having a windows machine just for gaming, a Mac for headache-free computing, and being able to have both in the same machine. Now, the iMac wouldn't be my first choice for gaming (that would be the Mac Pro), but with that DirectX 10 chip in it, it wouldn't be my last choice either.

Thieves rob Best Buy blind

Jun 22nd 2007 1:40PM (Engadget)
Okay Fred, I work at Best Buy so I know how much the markup is on certain items.

$32 for a 6 foot USB cable that cost the store less than $3. And they only carry the store brand cables.

'Nuff said.

Why Apple's Mighty Mouse is like the Apple III

Oct 17th 2006 3:24AM (TUAW.com)
I say go easy on the author. Mac OSX is full of little suprises that hardly anybody knows about. After reading some of the comments, I decided to turn on 360° scrolling and found out that you can zoom into any part of the screen by holding down control and scrolling. I've never even heard about that before. Granted, he should've done a little more research before posting, but most of these complaints are valid and that solution of turning the mouse upside down and rubbing it is pretty stupid.

Terrance Howard Joins Iron Man

Oct 11th 2006 3:18AM (Cinematical)
Oh good grief. There goes another one. And here I thought that this could be a good movie.

Jim Rhodes is a big, sober, ex-military tough guy. There's more to him than that but at the very least you need someone who can pull off the whole "big bad black dude" look and Terrance just can't do it.

The fact that they casted him shows me that they know nothing about the characters. Get ready for another Fantastic Four.

And Ironman's my favorite too...
