12 Days of Joyswag: 250GB Xbox 360 with Kinect, Forza Motorsport 4, and Wireless Speed Wheel

Dec 25th 2011 12:11PM (Joystiq)
Yep - this work thing and commuting in an area where we have no public transportation (nor would it be cost-effective) means that I have a car and spend at least an hour a day in it, longer if there's a lot of traffic.

12 Days of Joyswag: Nintendo 3DS plus eight games (and a ton of Skylanders)

I usually play them as time allows and when I have a couple of minutes to kill - no particular time or place.

12 Days of Joyswag: Nintendo DS and eleven (11!) games

Mario Kart DS or Kirby Mass Attack would be our first. Not sure exactly which at this point, though.

12 Days of Joyswag: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Collector's Edition (or: free dragons)

Probably the real world task of battling a house that insists on breaking down. Next up would be sleep.

GOG.com's Guillaume Rambourg explains what happened last week

Gotta admit that it cost some confidence. If you're a download-only site and you pretend to shut down altogether, you're going to tick off customers. It's not really surprising that existing customers are going to be a little less likely to trust them in the future, DRM or not. While I appreciate their service and them making older games available, it's going to be hard to trust people who chose a "funny" approach to announce downtime instead of a straightforward "we need to go down for a couple of days - your games will be back then" message.

Joyswag: Custom 'Comic Jumper' Xbox 360 [update]

Sep 23rd 2010 1:59PM (Joystiq)
Cloud would be cool, if we can go cross-system then I'd probably include Samus Aran, maybe Guybrush Threepwood as long as he leaves his nemesis behind, or maybe include some of the Disney characters for my kid. :)

I like the look of Comic Jumper. Seems like that will be a cool game.

GoG not dead, relaunching with new site

Sep 22nd 2010 1:07PM (Joystiq)
I've used the service as well, but admittedly this was pretty poorly thought out. If you're going to try to get new customers and retain old ones having a "Going out of business" promo for a digital download site isn't a great way to instill confidence.

As Skruff said, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt this time and hope they plan future promos a little better. If this repeats, though, I'll likely look elsewhere. They do provide some good (old) games without DRM and the prices are pretty reasonable.

Swag Saturday: And Yet It Moves (WiiWare) [update]

I'll go w/ the Golden Rule.

Looks like this would be an interesting game. Thanks for mentioning it.

Disney Guilty Party review: Waggle, She Wrote

This is actually on my want list, but once again, probably when the price drops some. It sounds like a lot of fun, but I have trouble paying full price for a game.
