Rock Band and Guitar Hero were his only projects. So, you're right. Not the top end of graphics. And he clearly didn't know about other project going on. This is why he has put his foot in his mouth by talking about fill-rates, disc speeds (forgetting about the HDD), and the 360's inability to do full 720p games recently (Halo 3).

This is what happens when you have amateur devs that only do things one way and aren't unable to think out of the box.

Maybe next you should learn about Jason. He's an amateur developer more interested in music and start-ups. He's just recently taken up programing. Sounds like the typical amateur that is clearly over his head and then just rants about it. :(

nook, you have to login at the right times. Usually weekends after 6pm is a good time. Weekdays are good too around the same time. But not as good as weekends.

Oh, and be aware that the PS3 being lowed in cost also creates a loss for Sony. But due to demand for a lower price. Sony had to lower the price. The main issue was getting more consoles in the hand of gamers. Then, selling software and making up the lost profits from the hardware side. You can't have one with out the other.

What? You expect Sony not to sell the hardware in order to save money by money not lost per console -- thus losing out on NO software sold? Please...

Sony did the right thing by lower the cost for the CONSUMER and they incurring the cost.

Those Halo 3 profits you talk about are the current sales revenue for the cost of producing and advertising everything required to maintain the 360's gaming division. But those inflated sales will drop off. Yet, the overhead cost will NOT.

Remember, even if Halo 3 sells 8-9 MIL (which should happen). It's selling to their Halo/xbox fanbase. And even after 25 MIL xbox 1 sold. They still never sold 25 MIL xbox 1 Halo 2 copies.

This is called market saturation for a particular demographic. As the "pre-sales" Halo 3 drops off the revenue tally. You'll see a drop in weekly income.

If gamers go through the trouble making copies. Then what's the point of collecting comics or "Magic" cards? Sorry. But the whole point of getting the cards is owning the REAL DECK!

What part of "gaming division" do you not understand? M$ has always made money on their Windows/office division. It's their gaming division that has NEVER been profitable.

When the finanical reports come out. They never include Windows/Office sales into the gaming division. If that was the case. Then you could say the same thing about Sony's HDTV (LCD) subsidizing their gaming division.

The 51GB you linked is not a "standardization" but a PRES promotional meeting in Las Vegas. It's basically a bunch of Toshiba shills cheerleaders.

The 51GB, even if it was completed would be for PC storge media. Not for movies. So, this is just a bunch of propaganda.

By the way. Did you know the max limit for Blu-ray is 33GB per layer. So, it's like saying that Blu-ray could do 33GB and 66GB for single and double layer? See how that works?

The fact of the matter is that blu-ray's 25GB per layer will always be ahead of hd dvd. 75GB would be Blu-ray's triple layer. And 100GB is the quadlayer!
