@Plazmic Flame I'm no fan of the what's old is new again rebranding of the lowest tier iphone/touch. However, it's been a long while since they started that policy. Moreover, while it makes my skin crawl to be an Apple apologist it's a rather new phenomenon to allow continual updates at all and they're never guaranteed. If you wanted to protest rebranding deception you've missed that boat.

I don't doubt there is some motivation to sucker punch you and tempt an upgrade. But with the older hardware you might be hating life. I'm sure the jailbreak community will have you covered soon if you want to go ahead.

I have a 1201N and while it does inhabit a very narrow value band I've got to say I love the hell out of it. ION permits the netbook to serve as a multimedia powerhouse, something Intel has failed to provide as of yet. And the lowest of the laptop CULV class still tend to offer craptastic Intel graphics.

For the most part the 1201N feels, though certainly is not, as powerful as a full laptop. The illusion certainly holds for well designed programs: Not so much for iTunes. It's a tricky purchase, but for people like myself it's the only netbook I'd be willing to buy now or in the future.

@Argot The 658GB user is an extreme case though. 3,800kb/s for Netflix HD. That's .000475 GB/s. So one movie 24/7 would be 287 GB for a week I think.

Bandwidth caps suck, but I use the same services and I do torrent without even coming close to 250. But I don't live in a house with 4 like minded nerds.

@Level 5 So your only recourse would be to send your music over cellular with a 5GB cap? Though with cellular speeds it might take you a month to send out that much data.
