Jun 25th 2010 12:20AM (Engadget)The same reception problem was present in my 3GS. If you palm the back and wrap your hand around the lower left corner, signal goes to 1 bar. Put the phone on the table, it pops back to 4 or 5. Apple's mistake was making the signal bars refresh too quickly. No one noticed this on the 3GS because it took longer for the signal bars to refresh so they didn't associate it with a particular way of holding the phone.

Jan 8th 2010 12:10AM (Engadget)Well, thats what the Zomm detector is for. The idea is that you carry around the zomm detector and if you are out of range of the zomm, it'll sound an alarm. I think they're shooting for 149.99 on the zomm detector.
