The same reception problem was present in my 3GS. If you palm the back and wrap your hand around the lower left corner, signal goes to 1 bar. Put the phone on the table, it pops back to 4 or 5. Apple's mistake was making the signal bars refresh too quickly. No one noticed this on the 3GS because it took longer for the signal bars to refresh so they didn't associate it with a particular way of holding the phone.

I think you will be wrong on everything except #1,2, and 4. Additionally, here's some pure speculation out of my ass: I think the screen will be an lcd layered on top of an epaper display. The lcd layer provides display renderings that require fast movement, like videos, color images, and ui stuff. Behind the lcd is an epaper display used for rendering text for reading.

Well, thats what the Zomm detector is for. The idea is that you carry around the zomm detector and if you are out of range of the zomm, it'll sound an alarm. I think they're shooting for 149.99 on the zomm detector.
