LOO LOO LOO!!! I graduated from Waterloo too, the CS program from the Math faculty was pretty tough 5+ years ago. It was so challenging that any real life work feels like a piece of cake.
They'll have the free online version of Torchlight next year which will generate revenue through micro-transaction. Think of this $20 entertainment for the current offline game and some kind of down payment for the development of the online version. After all, if people can drop $5 - $60 to pre-order a game that won't be out for months, $20 for actual game is a bargain.
The Mesmer is what define Guild Wars for me. This class is the bane of melee and casters. As proof, whenever I play Mesmer, I get a lot of insults thrown at me from the enemy or there's a gang bang to take me out. Guild Wars and its chapters was the only game I played for 2 years straight. I think I have spent some $200 with DLC and so on. During that time, I barely played anything else. I hope when Guild Wars 2 come out, the PvP system will be even better, that's is another feature that I like most from the game.
