The arguments on these posts are friggin' pointless. I don't understand how someone else's console choice affects you, unless it's your immediate friends and they all have one thing and you have a different one and can't share/borrow games or play online...really, buy what you like and stfu.
As far as the post goes, like anyone is going to RTFM...everyone assumes that they've played the PS and PS 2, so the PS3 must be just the same. Plug it in and go...right? READ THE FRIGGIN MANUAL.
How Matt H or Shawn B didn't win out over the completely boring yet shockingly understated look of the winner is beyond me. Dennis D's redesign of the logo is great too. The winning design is just tired - it's not elegant enough.
Oh well...bravo Matt H and Shawn B and some of the other runner's up...I hope someone somewhere uses your classy designs elsewhere...they are deserving.
If i got the 360...I'd have to go with a custom faceplate to paint, to truly make it a one of a kind. I'd even throw an engadget logo on the power button just to remind me of where it came from.
I'd also pick up a few additional wireless controllers and recharge packs so I can have a big Madden and NHL playoff party...
blurry - most, and I stress most, of the problems you're having lie in one thing - the V3. The antenna in that phone flat out sucks - it's not the best phone for roaming and travelling around. Also, Motorola's are absolutely notorious for having 'false bars' worth of reception. Check out howardforums.com if you think I'm lying...
