To be fair to Tony Hawk Ride, according to vgchartz, it did sell over a million across all three platforms. And at $120 a pop, that's far from being terrible.
I just bought political machine today. It was nice having the option to download the game and have a physical copy shipped to you as well. But I really hated having to sign up for another service especially when Steam is already doing an amazing job.
Now that I think about it Activision really doesn't have a lot of franchises. There's CoD, Tony Hawk, Gun, Guitar Hero, Marvel license, id games and Bond. I'm probably missing a bunch but still, how the hell did they get so big with such a limited portfolio?
Can't say I'll miss Kaplan but Harrison is a long time employee, right? It's too bad that they couldn't find a way for him to keep his job without relocating.
