1. The icon (favicon) for all .net Passport sites is the Microsoft Windows branded logo.
2. All sign in pages will only link directly to Microsoft.
3. The Help link will redirect to a special page on Microsoft's server that is difficult to mimic, so scam artists hope you won't look to check.
4. Microsoft's new security sign in allows you to sign in using a high encryption setting. You will notice the difference by spotting a "Lock" icon on your browsers Status Bar (bottom right, default).
Some scam sites will forget to add new logos like the new Windows Live access point logo.
