11bit Studios' tower-offense sequel <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/anomaly-2">Anomaly 2</a></em> will launch on May 15. The sequel adds new units and the ability for them to morph into a secondary class type, as well as incorporating <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/30/anomaly-2-preview-tug-o-war/">live multiplayer</a> for the first time in the series.<br />
<br />
 <em>Anomaly 2</em> is the sequel to <em>Anomaly: Warzone Earth</em> and its expansion, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/anomaly-korea"><em>Anomaly: Korea</em></a>. Unlike its predecessors, <em>Anomaly 2</em> will forgo mobile platforms at launch, favoring Steam for PC, Mac and Linux. All pre-orders are currently 10 percent off the standard $15 asking price.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/01/anomaly-2-marches-to-pc-mac-and-linux-may-15/">Anomaly 2 marches to PC, Mac and Linux May 15</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 01 May 2013 17:30:00 EST. The deciding factor in victory is points - the alien side must defend its generators and build harvesters to mine points away from the human side, while the humans aim to simply destroy every alien present.<br /><br /><span>It's a frantic tug of war as each side desperately scans the battlefield for vulnerability in the others' ranks. As the humans, ignoring harvesters, purchasing the wrong units or failing to sell and swap out units at integral times will easily spell death. The aliens have an arguably tougher job and lack the resources to build up defenses across the entire map, so it's more about predicting where the humans will go and taking care to build harvesters at the right time.</span><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/anomaly-2/">Anomaly 2</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/anomaly-2/#5675802"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/02/anomaly2-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/anomaly-2/#5675803"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/02/anomaly2-02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/anomaly-2/#5675804"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/02/anomaly2-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/anomaly-2/#5675805"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/02/anomaly2-04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/anomaly-2/#5675806"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/02/anomaly2-05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/30/anomaly-2-preview-tug-o-war/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Anomaly 2 preview: Tug o' war</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/30/anomaly-2-preview-tug-o-war/">Anomaly 2 preview: Tug o' war</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 30 Mar 2013 12:00:00 EST. The Indie Royale Stuffing Bundle groups together <em>Dream Machine: Chapters 1-3</em>, <em>Puzzle Agent 2</em>, <em>Anomaly: Warzone Earth</em>, <em>Children of the Nile</em> and <em>Adventure Apes and the Mayan Mystery</em>. <br /><br /><em>Dream Machine</em> uses cardboard and clay to tell the story of Victor Neff and his wife who just moved into an apartment building that just isn't quite right. (<em>Dream Machine</em> is a five-part series, so keep in mind you won't get the entire award-winning point-and-click adventure experience in this bundle.) <em>Puzzle Agent 2</em> is the 2011 sequel to Telltale Games' and Graham Annable's original adventure/puzzle outing and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/10/telltale-pilot-program-allows-for-new-ideas-at-greater-risk/">Pilot Program</a> winner. <br /><br /><em>Anomaly: Warzone Earth</em> you've probably heard of since it's on every platform ever invented, while <em>Adventure Apes and the Mayan Mystery</em> is a <a href="http://gaming.wikia.com/wiki/Metroidvania">Metroidvania</a> game with lots of exploration. Finally, <em>Children of the Nile</em> is a city-building sim set in ancient Egypt - the Enhanced Edition is a Steam key, while the Desura/DRM-free code included in the bundle is based on the 2004 original, <em>Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/20/indie-royale-stuffing-bundle-crams-together-dream-machine-puzzl/">Indie Royale Stuffing Bundle crams together Dream Machine, Puzzle Agent 2 and more</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 20 Nov 2012 16:30:00 EST. A demo for the Mac and PC versions of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/anomaly-warzone-earth"><em>Anomaly: Warzone Earth</em></a> has arrived on Steam, where the game is currently available for the sale price of $8.99. <em>Anomaly: Warzone Earth </em>is the first game from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/10/07/11-bit-studios-formed-by-cd-projekt-metropolis-software-vets/">11 bit studios</a>, which was formed by former CD Projekt and Metropolis Software veterans.<br />

It's a tower defense game that plays out in reverse -- you're planning the attackers' routes around preset enemies, balancing the resources of your team against the forces out to destroy you. We think it's pretty neat, but you can try the four-mission sample for yourself <a href="http://store.steampowered.com/app/91200/?snr=1_4_4__13">right here</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/14/anomaly-warzone-earth-demo-now-available-on-steam-for-pc-mac/">Anomaly: Warzone Earth demo now available on Steam for PC, Mac</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 14 Apr 2011 11:55:00 EST.
