Fans can <a href="http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZGXBJZL">vote</a> on the four mock-up 16-bit art styles seen in the gallery below to determine which direction Nicalis will take the remake in.<br /><br />According to <em>The Binding of Isaac</em> creator Edmund McMillen's <a href="http://edmundm.com/post/36798306331/binding-of-isaac-console-remake-details">Tumblr</a> blog, the game is getting a face lift "because I think the art is tired and I'm sick of looking at it." The <a href="http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZGXBJZL">survey</a> also asks for input on which platforms the game should appear on, with 3DS and Wii U listed as options.<br /><br />Nicalis will begin development on the project in January and hopes to launch PS3, Vita and PC (Steam) versions of <em>The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth</em> by the end of 2013, with Xbox 360, iOS and Nintendo console ports a possibility. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-binding-of-isaac-rebirth-mock-up-art/">The Binding of Isaac (Rebirth Mock-Up Art)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-binding-of-isaac-rebirth-mock-up-art/#5474591"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/boir-basement_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-binding-of-isaac-rebirth-mock-up-art/#5474593"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/boir-caves-1354379346_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-binding-of-isaac-rebirth-mock-up-art/#5474594"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/boir-cellar1_thumbnail.png" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-binding-of-isaac-rebirth-mock-up-art/#5474595"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/boir-cellar2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/01/nicalis-wants-your-input-on-the-binding-of-isaacs-makeover/">Nicalis wants your input on The Binding of Isaac's makeover</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 01 Dec 2012 13:30:00 EST. Also, the new Borderlands still isn't out, and you've played so, so much of the first one. Or maybe you're only into 16-bit games? The <em>Borderlands</em> remake - an official part of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/borderlands-2"><em>Borderlands 2</em></a> marketing campaign - is here, and it's pretty boss.<br /><br />Well, okay - it's as boss as a top down, 16-bit, browser-based rendition of <em>Borderlands</em> could possibly be. Incidentally, that's <em>far</em>, <em>far more boss</em> than we had imagined. Feel like reliving the bizarre twists and turns of <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/battlestar-galactica"><em>Battlestar Galactica</em></a> without, you know, <em>actually having to watch it again</em>? <a href="http://www.collegehumor.com/video/6683770/battlestar-galactica-rpg">College Humor</a> has put together a handy (and fake) retro RPG that handily condenses the series' most memorable plot points (and holes). Oh, and: Spoiler warning. <em>Duh</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/06/battlestar-galactica-as-retold-by-a-16-bit-rpg/">Battlestar Galactica, as retold by a 16-bit RPG</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 06 Jan 2012 00:15:00 EST. Adding himself to the short list of things we associate with Sweden other than Volvo, Ikea, and <em>delicious</em> <em>meatballs</em>, Stockholm's Pato Pooh recently released <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Plhgyp0KNQQ">a music video</a> for his song "Follow Me." It features a regular who's who of 8- and 16-bit era gaming in the process, referencing everything from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega-man"><em>Mega Man</em></a>'s opening to the <em>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles</em>. He even kills off that snickering jerk dog from <em>Duck Hunt</em> we all love to hate. Who's laughing now, dog? Who's laughing now<em>?</em>!<br /><br />[Thanks, SuerDOS!]<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/19/swedish-rapper-pato-pooh-asks-you-to-follow-him-into-the-old-sch/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Swedish rapper Pato Pooh asks you to follow him into the old school </em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/19/swedish-rapper-pato-pooh-asks-you-to-follow-him-into-the-old-sch/">Swedish rapper Pato Pooh asks you to follow him into the old school </a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 19 Oct 2009 18:40:00 EST. <div align="left">The <a href="http://www.nitnendowiifanboy.com/tag/esrb">ESRB</a> website typically reveals upcoming titles for the Virtual Console, and though it's by no means any sort of surprise, it looks like <em>Sonic the Hedgehog 2</em> will <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/06/esrb-sonic-the-hedgehog-2-rated-e-for-xbox-360/">soon be coming to a Wii near you</a>. This prompted some discussion among the staff, of course, and after several fingers were dislocated and a kidney stolen in the night, we reached no definite conclusion. Which of the four major <em>Sonic</em> titles of the 16-bit era was the best? Some say <em>Sonic 3 </em>(and what charming, handsome fellows they must be), but others say <em>Sonic and Knuckles </em>(the more crude, surly members of the staff, certainly).<br /></div>
</div>
<br />I mean, we already totally <em>know</em> what the right answer is, but <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wwu">do you guys agree</a>?
