<br /><strong>41. Free wireless internet from T-Mobile</strong><br />Six months of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/29/t-mobile-offers-free-wi-fi-with-latest-update/">free internet access</a> for your PSP from T-Mobile. That means almost any Starbucks restaurant you go to will give you free wi-fi for internet browsing. It certainly comes in handy when you need to check your mail on the go.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/02/60-reasons-to-own-a-psp-part-9/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>60 reasons to own a PSP: part 9</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/02/60-reasons-to-own-a-psp-part-9/">60 reasons to own a PSP: part 9</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 02 Jul 2007 15:30:00 EST. Is it really that difficult to come up with <em>sixty</em> different reasons to own a PSP? No, not really. As many PSP owners are sure of, there are simply too many things one can do on the handheld. Let's keep going on with our 60 reasons, courtesy of TCLCloud.<br /><br />
<div align="center"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/06/readytodance.jpg" /><br /></div>
<strong>36. Region free gaming</strong><br />One of the great thing about handheld systems is its ability to play games from all over the world. There's too many great titles in other countries, like <em>Bleach: Heat the Soul</em>, and the unique dancing game, <em>Audition</em> (pictured, above). Some people enjoy the stranger titles that can be found outside of our country, which is why we feature imports in our <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/releases">weekly releases</a>. Simply insert the UMD and watch it play.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/28/60-reasons-to-own-a-psp-part-8/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>60 reasons to own a PSP: part 8</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/28/60-reasons-to-own-a-psp-part-8/">60 reasons to own a PSP: part 8</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 28 Jun 2007 22:00:00 EST. As a wise <strike>Mazda</strike> Pontiac spokesperson said, "Wider is better." The list of 60 reasons to own a PSP continues, courtesy of TCLCloud. You didn't really think we'd make it this far, did you?<br /><br />
<div align="center"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/06/widerisbetter.jpg" alt="" /><br /></div>
<strong>31. Widescreen aspect ratio</strong><br />Conan (pictured, above) knows what's best: a wider screen. PSP's screen is natively 16:9, allowing more screen real estate. This is perfect for games: players will have a better vantage point in games. This is even better for movies: <strike>many</strike> <strike>most</strike> nearly all movies are shot in a widescreen format, making the PSP's screen far more ideal than the typically square iPod screen (do you really want very big black bars?). As HDTV gets popular, more and more content is produced for a 16:9 ratio, making PSP compatible with all kinds of videos and games.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/25/60-reasons-to-own-a-psp-part-7/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>60 reasons to own a PSP: part 7</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/25/60-reasons-to-own-a-psp-part-7/">60 reasons to own a PSP: part 7</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Jun 2007 13:00:00 EST. We all love value. And this list is filled with it. We're continuing the list of 60 reasons to own a PSP, courtesy of TCLCloud. After today, we'll be halfway done!<br /><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/06/pspromessenger.jpg" /><br /> </div>
<br /> <span style="font-weight: bold;">26. Messengers (AIM, MSN, Yahoo)</span><br /> It might not be the most elegant solution around, but PSP owners can actually message buddy list friends on AIM, MSN or Yahoo. The keyboard interface leaves much to be desired, but it's an excellent back-up solution when you're away from your computer, and all you have is your PSP. Our favorite is <a href="http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=pspmedia&amp;thread.id=189348&amp;view=by_date_ascending&amp;page=1">PSP Pro-Messenger</a> (pictured, above). The great thing about this? You don't need homebrew, either. It works with your PSP internet browser.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/22/60-reasons-to-own-a-psp-part-6/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>60 reasons to own a PSP: part 6</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/22/60-reasons-to-own-a-psp-part-6/">60 reasons to own a PSP: part 6</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 22 Jun 2007 10:45:00 EST. <div align="left">Thought we gave up after the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/09/60-reasons-to-own-a-psp-part-1/">first five reasons</a>? Impossible! (All <em>sixty</em> are already written, folks.) Let's not waste any more time. Here's the next five reasons you should own a PSP, courtesy of TCLCloud:<br /><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/03/pspvideo9b.jpg" /><br /></div>
<br /> <span style="font-weight: bold;">6. Download, or convert your own videos</span><br />Freeware programs, like PSP Video 9, make it easy to convert videos from your computer for playback on the PSP. Ever since firmware 3.30, users have been able to playback <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/28/firmware-3-30-now-available-on-network-update/">full 480x272 resolution</a> video on the PSP, getting UMD-quality results absolutely free. Services like <a href="http://www.connect.com/">Connect</a> and <a href="http://theatre.pspfanboy.com/">PSP Fanboy Theatre</a> sweeten the deal by offering new video content every week.</div>

<strong>Update:</strong> To read the entire feature so far, click the image above.<br />Oh, how I love thee PSP. Let me count the ways ... 60 ways, in fact. One of our readers, TCLCloud, has given us a list of 60 fantastic reasons to own a PSP system. With all of these features in mind, can anyone possibly deny the fact that the PSP is one of the greatest systems ever created? Let's begin the list:<br /><br />
<div align="center"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/05/montage2.jpg" /><br /></div>
<br /><strong>1. The Games</strong><br />People used to say that the PSP had no good games. Obviously, that's no longer the case. The library features some real gems, such as <a href="http://lumines.pspfanboy.com"><em>Lumines</em></a>, <a href="http://wipeout.pspfanboy.com"><em>Wipeout</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/gta"><em>Grand Theft Auto</em></a>, and <a href="http://tekken.pspfanboy.com"><em>Tekken: Dark Resurrection</em></a>. It also has some new favorites, such as <a href="http://crush.pspfanboy.com"><span style="font-style: italic;">Crush</span></a>. Of course, if the library isn't expansive enough, a quick look down the horizon reveals a plethora of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/category/final-fantasy/"><em>Final Fantasy</em></a> titles, a new <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/godofwar"><em>God of War</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/syphonfilter"><em>Syphon Filter</em></a>, <a href="http://castlevania.pspfanboy.com"><em>Castlevania</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/silenthill"><em>Silent Hill</em></a>, and more.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/09/60-reasons-to-own-a-psp-part-1/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>60 reasons to own a PSP: part 1</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/09/60-reasons-to-own-a-psp-part-1/">60 reasons to own a PSP: part 1</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 09 Jun 2007 12:00:00 EST.
