Ever since PlayStation 3 owners got Amazon Instant back in April, those of us with just an Xbox 360 have been left in the lurch. No more! Amazon let loose the Instant Video app today on Xbox Live under the Video Apps marketplace, allowing Amazon Prime owners streaming access to "over 17,000 Prime Instant videos" and both Prime and non-Prime customers to purchase access to "a library of over 120,000 movies and TV episodes."

As you might've guessed, Microsoft's Kinect functionality is also part of the service, allowing you to shout "Xbox Play/Stop/Pause/etc." as much as necessary before it finally works. The app is also locked to Xbox Live Gold accounts, so, uh, no dice for you Silver folks. Sorry about that!

If you read yesterday's European pre-order news for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and were left wondering how you could get Ancient Ogre in your life over here in the colonies, we now know, and the answer is ... GameStop.

GameStop pre-orders of TTT2 will get day-one access to four DLC characters: Ancient Ogre, Kunimitsu, Michelle Chang, and Angel. Best Buy and Amazon pre-orders only get Michelle Chang and Angel. Don't worry, though, we're sure the other two will be released as regular DLC soon enough.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 comes to PS3s worldwide September 10, and Xbox 360s in North America one day later.

At least Amazon's $5 credit offer is active, if you pre-order the game in advance of its eventual release. And in other sort of good news, the soundtrack was released last month, so you can listen to that while you wait. We're checking with Konami for an accurate release window.

Just look at this one guy's computer - no joke! That anticipation translates into a lot of pre-orders; however, not all of those pre-orders are through Blizzard's Battle.net service. Amazon is apparently another popular pre-purchase destination.

A representative for Amazon told Joystiq that Diablo 3 is Amazon's most pre-ordered PC title ever. "Today, it became the most pre-ordered PC game of all-time on Amazon.com - even exceeding pre-orders for Blizzard's own StarCraft II and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm," the rep said.

It's been a pretty good month for pre-orders on Amazon. Earlier this month, day-one pre-orders for Black Ops 2 managed to top pre-orders for the first Black Ops and even last year's Modern Warfare 3.

We've reached out to Activision for comment and will update with anything we're able to dig up. For now, let's just imagine the possibilities, and hope things turn out better this time.

Earlier today, Amazon UK told MCV that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 pre-orders were three times higher than its predecessor, Black Ops, two years ago. We wanted to know if that anticipation crossed the pond.

"Pre-orders from day one of Black Ops 2 were more than ten times the amount of pre-orders for the first Black Ops on its first day of availability," Amazon US told Joystiq this afternoon, but that's not all the buzz.

"Black Ops 2 even out pre-ordered the first day of availability for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 by more than 30 percent. Modern Warfare 3 currently holds the record for the most pre-ordered game of all time and was amongst the top 20 pre-orders ever on Amazon.com, including books and movies."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 went on to gross over $775 million globally in five days, flying past Call of Duty: Black Ops' $650 million record and the $550 million record before it, set by Modern Warfare 2.

In the case of Resistance: The Trilogy, well, apparently Amazon France isn't too concerned. A listing - one that's still live as of this writing - for just such a game popped up on Amazon France, spotted by UK site CVG.

The listing puts a May 16 launch date and a €59.99 ($79.99) price tag on the unannounced bundle, which we're guessing means a May 15 launch here in North America (and a likely $59.99 pricing). You've probably already guessed as much, but the product listing confirms the trilogy as a repackaging of the three Resistance titles already available for the PlayStation 3. With such a revealing product page, we expect to hear something more official from Sony as the day goes on. We've reached out regardless in the meantime.

Amazon will knock down the price for both L.A. Noire and GTA IV to $4.99 up until April 15. Much like the stealth Blogcast tease, Amazon Instant Video quietly appeared on the PlayStation 3's cross-media bar today under the video header.

Rather than being implemented via system update, the service is a clickable icon in the XMB's video section that prompts a 19MB download. Individual films and TV shows are available for rental and purchase individually at varying costs, though Amazon Prime members are given full access based on their annual subscription. Looks like we finally have to buy a media remote for the ol' PS3, eh?

El Presidente didn't want to keep filling Tropican prisons with rebels... so he found a new export. Oh, that El Presidente, he's a clever one!

As you'll recall, Book of Memories was originally slated to be released in February, relatively alongside the Vita's North American debut. It was then delayed until March, as was the Silent Hill HD Collection, in an effort to extract the highest amount of retail synergy possible from Silent Hill: Downpour's release.

We've reached out Konami for confirmation; in the meantime, those of you who absolutely must be terrified on the go should load your MP3 player with the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack.

GameBlog.fr spotted the listing and grabbed a screenshot (seen above) before it was allegedly pulled, which has resulted in a bit of a kerfuffle between Activision's French arm and the site.

Earlier this year we reported that Activision had already snapped up domain registrations for a variety of Black Ops sequels (all the way up to "Black Ops 6", actually), so the listing on Amazon France doesn't exactly come off as unbelievable. Nor is it a surprise to suppose Activision might want to capitalize on Treyarch's most financially successful -- not to mention critically acclaimed -- Call of Duty titles.

Activision's US reps have yet to get back to us when asked for comment.

We called a local Gamestop to confirm the listing, and an employee informed us that Gravity Rush has a "ship date" of May 30 in their system, which lines up just about right. It's entirely possible that the end of May is within Sony's definition of the Vita's release window, but we won't know what's the dealio really-o until Sony elaborates on the game's "TBD" release date.

In the case of Lumines: Electronic Symphony, when ordered from Amazon, that advantage entails three exclusive MP3 downloads.

Purchases of the puzzler from Amazon will come with three MP3s by composer Makoto Asai, from the game's "secret unlockable stages." Amazon has the release date listed as February 14, in time for the early First Edition Bundle.

We got in touch with the online retailer to find out about its top-selling titles for the year. The company informed us that, naturally, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was its top game in physical sales. This was followed by Just Dance 3, the latest from the runaway hit franchise, and Skyrim.

There was a semi-surprise in Amazon's digital distribution space for PC, with Deus Ex: Human Revolution taking the virtual goods crown. Square Enix's stealth action title was followed, in order, by three of EA's games: Battlefield 3, The Sims 3 and Battlefield Bad Company 2.

It's universal, like how everyone enjoys warm blankets or shooting firearms. There's a special kind of person, however, that also has an affinity for extreme, debilitating punishment, which is why Ninja Gaiden 3 exists.

NG3's collector's edition, which we first caught wind of last December, includes the game, an art book, a soundtrack, a figure set of Ryu Hayabusa and an eventual murder victim, as well as a download voucher for a four-character demo of Dead of Alive 5. Non-collector's edition pre-orders placed at Gamestop and Amazon will include a code for a two-character demo of DOA5, with Gamestop's demo including Hayabusa and Hitomi, and Amazon's featuring Ayane and Hayate (the four-character version includes both Amazon and GameStop's characters).

The collector's edition will be available exclusively at Gamestop, indicating that Tecmo Koei truly understands the unique relationship it has with its players.
