The covers feature Catherine (on the PS3 box), the mysterious woman with whom protagonist Vincent has an affair with, and his current girlfriend, Katherine (on the 360 version). The box art is in line with the general marketing for the adult-themed game, which has used <a href="http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/08/24/catherine_retail_poster/">lascivious imagery</a> to capture Vincent's insomnia-plagued predicament. Look closer -- notice the falling sheep-men?<br />
<br />
<em>Catherine</em> arrives in Japan on February 17, and in North America <em>who knows when</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/03/catherine-and-katherine-split-box-art-duty/">Catherine and Katherine split box art duty</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 03 Dec 2010 11:02:00 EST. The website posted the final box art for <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/spider-man-shattered-dimensions">Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions</a></em> well in advance of next week's<em><a href="http://marvel.com/news/vgstories.13162.sdcc_2010~colon~_smsd_panel_liveblog"> Shattered Dimensions</a></em><a href="http://marvel.com/news/vgstories.13162.sdcc_2010~colon~_smsd_panel_liveblog"> Comic-Con panel</a>, which is expected to provide the "official" reveal of the game's fourth universe. Activision confirmed to Joystiq that the box art image is authentic.<br />
<br />
There's still plenty of info to reveal at that panel, however. The newly revealed, fourth version of Spider-Man (pictured on the far right) looks like he's wearing the famous (infamous?) black "symbiote" costume, which raises questions about which "universe" it represents in the game. In the comics, the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_Wars">Secret Wars</a> storyline that resulted in Spider-Man's acquisition of this <em>costume</em> took place in the normal "<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth-616">Earth-616</a>" Marvel Comics continuity, which is already one of the game's revealed dimensions. (The other two are the Noir [Earth-7207] and Marvel 2099 [Earth-928] universes.) It's possible that this probable symbiote costume is the version from the <a href="http://www.comicvine.com/ultimate-spider-man-inheritance/37-108169/">Ultimate universe</a>, which would qualify as a separate universe and fulfill the game's multidimensional gimmick. <br />
<br />
Check out the full box art after the break, while we ponder the biggest question brought on by this reveal: When did we learn so much about <em>Spider-Man</em> comics?<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/15/activision-confirms-final-spider-man-shattered-dimensions-cover/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Activision confirms final Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions cover</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/15/activision-confirms-final-spider-man-shattered-dimensions-cover/">Activision confirms final Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions cover</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 15 Jul 2010 16:11:00 EST. "Dudes, this box art rules!" We would have been satisfied to leave it at that after sharing <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/fable-3"><em>Fable 3</em></a><em>'s</em> regal cover art with you, had it not been for the curious stamp at the top: "<em>Only on Xbox 360 &amp; Windows</em>." The label, which denotes "exclusivity" on Microsoft's console and PC, was most recently adhered to THQ's atmospheric first-person shooter, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/metro-2033">Metro 2033</a></em>.<br />
<br />
Since this official Microsoft-provided art has now been retracted (from <a href="http://www.gamespress.com/">Games Press</a>), you're either looking at an elaborate labeling error or an accidental announcement of <em>Fable 3</em> heading to PC. We'll do our best to be royal pains and keep bugging Microsoft for a proper answer. At the time of writing, neither Microsoft US nor Microsoft UK had responded to our calls.<br />
<br />
<strong>Update:</strong> A Microsoft representative told us, "We have not made any official announcements beyond 'Fable III' for Xbox 360 at this time," and offered to forward additional information "as it becomes available."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/14/fable-3-box-art-crowned-with-windows-label/">Fable 3 box art crowned with 'Windows' label</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 14 May 2010 10:02:00 EST. We struggle to find anything else to say about the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/fallout-new-vegas"><em>Fallout: New Vegas</em></a> boxart that's been revealed via <a href="http://bethblog.com/index.php/2010/05/13/heres-the-final-fallout-new-vegas-box-art/">the Bethesda Blog</a>. Depicting a single New California Republic Ranger standing alone (you know, the guy from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/04/fallout-new-vegas-coming-this-fall-teaser-coming-right-now/">the first trailer</a>?), he wields his pistol, presumably ready for any ne'er-do-wells lurking. Or maybe he's just showing his gun to us? We can't imagine it's very impressive, what with all the sand in the post-apocalyptic desert.<br />
<br />
Of course, if the regular edition of the game doesn't do it for you, don't forget there's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/11/bethesda-announces-fallout-new-vegas-collectors-edition-for-hi/">a collector's edition</a> you can snag for $79.99 on PS3 and Xbox and $69.99 on PC -- or about 7,162 bottle caps.*<br />

Alright, folks, story time -- about five days ago, a tipster sent us the three box shots in the gallery below, claiming they were asked to take part in a survey that essentially revealed the existence of a third game in the Monolith-developed <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/fear">F.E.A.R.</a></em> series. Further, the game's title on the boxes didn't read "F.E.A.R. 3," but rather "F.3.A.R." Fast-forward four days later and one of the box shots turns up on gaming forum <a href="http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=390998">neoGAF</a> as an image (sans box) alleged to be from an unnamed Spanish magazine, with the words "pr&oacute;ximo n&uacute;mero" ("next number" literally, or, in this case, "next issue") cascading down the left side.<br />
<br />
Normally we wouldn't tell you about any of this, except for the fact that when we contacted publisher Warner Bros. Interactive for comment, we were told by a representative, "We have no info to share at this time." While that's certainly not solid confirmation, the fact that WB didn't outright falsify the images strikes us as notable to say the least. We'll let you know if the publisher decides to be any more candid, but for now we're leaving this one firmly in the rumor bin.<br />

<br />
We're childish enough to be amused by the fact that the whole DSi LL doesn't fit on the box. You know, because it's so big. Look how much room is on the <a href="http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E4%BB%BB%E5%A4%A9%E5%A0%82-13306461-%E3%83%8B%E3%83%B3%E3%83%86%E3%83%B3%E3%83%89%E3%83%BCDSi-%E3%83%9B%E3%83%AF%E3%82%A4%E3%83%88/dp/B001IBHTIQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=videogames&amp;qid=1257532607&amp;sr=1-1">DSi box</a>! Somehow, despite not fitting <em>on</em> the box, the DSi LL fits <em>in</em> the box -- we can only assume it's in there disassembled like an IKEA desk.<br />

Capcom has finally uploaded the massive box art for its latest <em>Vs </em>title onto the internet: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tatsunoko-vs-capcom"><em>Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars</em></a>. It's very similar to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/04/tatsunoko-vs-capcom-boxart-will-look-fantastic-on-no-american-s/">the Japanese box art</a> for the original release, in that it's a bunch of the game's characters set against a white background. The difference between the two is that our localized version shows the characters staring each other down, likely thinking about how they're going to kick the crap out of each other. What a violent world these folks live in, eh?<br />
<br />
Head past the break for the full box art.<br />

The combination of the imperative title and the goofy enthusiasm of the trailer make us follow the Wii dancing game a little more closely than others we don't really intend to <em>play</em>. <br /><br />The site alerted us to the box art for the title, which boldly advertises three songs: "U Can't Touch This," "Groove is in the Heart," and "Hot N Cold." We have yet to decide, but we think ... we might like the design. It'll certainly stand out on the shelf, commanding everyone who walks by to <em>just dance</em>. And the people on the box won't be as humiliated with their appearance as the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/15/promotional-consideration-come-as-you-are/"><em>Jam Sessions</em> guy</a>.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/just-dance/">Just Dance</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/just-dance/#2222929"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/justdance_screenshot_5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/just-dance/#2222928"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/justdance_screenshot_4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/just-dance/#2222927"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/justdance_screenshot_3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/just-dance/#2222926"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/justdance_screenshot_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/just-dance/#2222925"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/justdance_screenshot_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/16/just-dance-box-art-keeps-it-simple/">Just Dance box art keeps it simple</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 16 Oct 2009 16:00:00 EST. He mentioned <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/the-last-guardian"><em>The Last Guardian</em></a>, which was given that particular title to appeal to Western markets. <br /><br />As an example of Western-focused marketing that <em>didn't</em> work, Kobayashi presented the Japanese and North American boxes for <em>ICO</em>, the game that brought the <em>Last Guardian</em> developers to prominence. "If the packaging was designed differently, we think it would have sold more," he said. "In fact on the internet many people have said that the Japanese version was better." Because it <em>is</em>.<br /><br />Kobayashi then finished by highlighting what he saw as a different perception of what makes a "new" game in the West and Japan. He said that a "new" game in the US or Europe could be "something similar to something that's come before, because they think it is easier for people to understand."<br /><br />"But actually we don't like this - it's like you're simulating, following suit, combining two titles into one," he continued. "It seems the definition of a new title is different in the US and Europe to Japan. It means a new genre, that's what we call a new game."<br /><br />Japan has just as many iterative sequels as anywhere else, but we guess they aren't considered as <em>new</em>?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/17/sonys-kobayashi-better-ico-box-art-could-have-boosted-sales/">Sony's Kobayashi: better ICO box art could have boosted sales</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 Sep 2009 14:40:00 EST. This amazing art is doomed to be replaced with 3D character art upon its release in North America. But we can appreciate it now!<br /><br />We can also appreciate the tiny text at the bottom, which reveals a release date of October 29 in Japan. Nintendo of America has yet to update the "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/02/nintendo-reveals-q1-2010-release-for-sin-and-punishment-2/">Q1 2010</a>" date for North America -- a date that must have seemed like a good idea at the time, but now places this niche game, which we want to protect like a little baby, in the middle of a very dangerous game environment.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/03/sin-and-punishment-2-flying-into-japan-october-29/">Sin and Punishment 2 flying into Japan October 29</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 03 Sep 2009 17:10:00 EST. The <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/09/02/its-official-ratchet-clank-future-a-crack-in-time-available-in-the-us-on-october-27/">PlayStation.Blog</a> has announced the release date for <em>Ratchet &amp; Clank Future: A Crack in Time</em>. But wait -- isn't that, as commenters like to point out, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/27/ratchet-and-clank-future-a-crack-in-time-arrives-no-later-than/">old news</a>? Thankfully, more can be gleamed from the box art included with the post.<br /><br />In addition to touting the redesigned PS3 logo, the box art for <em>A Crack in Time</em> features the now-standard PlayStation Network banner on the back. The various PSN features include Trophies, PlayStation Home support, leaderboards and ... multiplayer? That's certainly new to us.<br /><br />Unfortunately, a SCEA representative confirmed to us that the box art posted on the web was constructed from a template and that all information listed in the PSN banner is simply placeholder. That doesn't mean <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/a-crack-in-time/"><em>A Crack in Time</em></a> won't have multiplayer -- but it means that this is far from the "omg confirmationz!!!!1" that many have been hoping for. <strong>Update:</strong> SCEA's Jefferson Dong <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/09/02/its-official-ratchet-clank-future-a-crack-in-time-available-in-the-us-on-october-27/#comment-264658">puts it more directly</a>: "There is no multiplayer."<br /><br />[Thanks, tmacairjordan87]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/02/ratchet-and-clank-future-a-crack-in-time-box-art-multiplayer-list/">Ratchet &amp; Clank Future: A Crack in Time box art multiplayer listing simply 'placeholder'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 02 Sep 2009 15:30:00 EST. Though we'd love to spend our precious time poring over the just-released cover of upcoming <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/gta-iv"><em>Grand Theft Auto IV</em></a> DLC retail pack, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/episodes-from-liberty-city"><em>Episodes from Liberty City</em></a>, we're not entirely certain of what to pick apart. The usual sexified lady and mean-looking gentlemen are present and accounted for, as is another helicopter to remind us of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-ballad-of-gay-tony"><em>The Ballad of Gay Tony's</em></a> apparent vehicle of choice. A few friends from the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-lost-and-damned"><em>The Lost &amp; Damned</em></a> also make an appearance, but there isn't much else to ogle.<br />
<br />
We still don't have a release date for the expansion or much more than <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/29/first-screens-for-the-ballad-of-gay-tony-go-airborne/">a handful of screenshots</a>, so we <em>really</em> <em>hope</em> you enjoy this box art until the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/27/the-ballad-of-gay-tony-gets-its-first-trailer-this-tuesday/">first trailer</a> hits tomorrow afternoon.<br />

<br /><a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/mass-effect-2"><em>Mass Effect 2</em></a> may not be ready to save the galaxy until next year, but its cover art is all set to sell some pre-orders. The box features what may be Wrex (but, all Krogans look alike. Racist!), what appears to be a sexy version of Ashley (or <a href="http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Miranda_Lawson">Miranda Lawson</a>... or <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/01/dead-space-extraction-box-art-is-terrified-and-screaming/">Dead Space Girl</a>) and the same dude from the original <em>Mass Effect</em> cover. We have NO IDEA who this guy is! He never appears in the game, but EA and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/BioWare/">BioWare</a> keep insisting on putting him on the box and in the commercials. Maybe his identity will be revealed in the third installment.<br /><br />As we all know, Commander Shepard (not present on the cover) is a beautiful black woman with striking green eyes.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mass-effect-2-box/">Mass Effect 2 box</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mass-effect-2-box/#2176541"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/me2_eapcpft_sgl_front_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mass-effect-2-box/#2176540"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/me2_eapcpft_sgl_right_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mass-effect-2-box/#2176539"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/me2_eapcpft_sgl_left_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mass-effect-2-box/#2176537"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/me2_eax360pftright_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mass-effect-2-box/#2176536"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/me2_eax360pftleft_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/30/we-see-dead-people-mass-effect-2-cover-revealed/">We see dead people: Mass Effect 2 cover revealed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 30 Jul 2009 15:02:00 EST. We suspect its overwhelming, vivid <em>blueness</em> will draw attention from retail shoppers. <br /><br />Once they focus more on the luminous blue object on the shelf, they'll see Leon Kennedy (last seen holding a gun in a somewhat different position on the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/04/capcom-site-updates-with-re4-boxart-info/"><em>RE4 Wii Edition</em></a> box) and Claire Redfield in the front, and <em>Code Veronica's </em>Steve Burnside (who may as well be Leon) and ... <em>some guy</em> in the background. Also, zombies.<br /><br />See the full box art after the break!<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/resident-evil-the-darkside-chronicles-wii/">Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles (Wii)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/resident-evil-the-darkside-chronicles-wii/#2127180"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/2009-07-01_23-44-14-9_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/resident-evil-the-darkside-chronicles-wii/#2127179"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/2009-07-03_21-01-08_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/resident-evil-the-darkside-chronicles-wii/#2127178"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/2009-07-03_10-44-10_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/resident-evil-the-darkside-chronicles-wii/#2127177"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/2009-07-01_23-44-16_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/resident-evil-the-darkside-chronicles-wii/#2127176"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/2009-07-01_23-44-14-8_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/29/capcom-reveals-the-outside-packaging-for-resident-evil-the-dark/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Capcom reveals the outside packaging for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/29/capcom-reveals-the-outside-packaging-for-resident-evil-the-dark/">Capcom reveals the outside packaging for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 29 Jul 2009 15:00:00 EST. Like the hardware itself and the controllers (particularly the Nunchuk) the change in color scheme makes the box look <em>so much</em> more interesting.<br /><br />After the break, we've posted the original white box for comparison. Is this new system worth the double-dip now that it <em>also</em> includes a display-worthy box? Still no, but it sure is nice to look at on the internet. The only downside for this new color scheme is that it'll be even <em>more</em> prone to the "dust" jokes that console warriors like to throw around, since it will actually <em>show</em> dust.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=16641146&amp;postcount=983">NeoGAF</a>]<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/14/black-wii-system-comes-in-a-black-wii-box/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Black Wii system comes in a black Wii box</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/14/black-wii-system-comes-in-a-black-wii-box/">Black Wii system comes in a black Wii box</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 14 Jul 2009 13:00:00 EST. It would be difficult to pick the determining factors: fan votes? Number of notes? Length? Sales as DLC? Sales of the original record? And what if songs came out <em>after</em> the release of the collection that were even <em>greater</em> than the Greatest Hits? That copy of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Resistance-2/">Resistance 2</a></em> looking a little dated? <em>Stormrise</em> is an upcoming console RTS from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/The-Creative-Assembly/">The Creative Assembly</a>, developer of the <em>Total War </em>series. Among the standard promise of intuitive console controls, Creative Assembly is introducing "verticality" to console RTS players. Units can be deployed in the air, on rooftops, at ground level, or below the planet's surface. Okay. So far, so good ...<br /> <br /> Uh-oh, wait a minute. <em>Stormrise's</em> <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/strategy/stormrise/index.html?tag=result;title;2">box art</a> looks like the class project of a paint-by-numbers after school program. Sure, it's the game inside that matters -- and we're excited for it -- but imagine if, instead of saying <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Stormrise/">Stormrise</a></em> on the cover, the box read <em>RoboCop vs. Zombies</em>. This art would still totally work, and probably be <em>twice</em> as rad.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/04/avert-your-eyes-stormrise-box-art-revealed-hideous/">Avert your eyes! Amazon has updated their listing for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/01/an-extra-dose-of-rhythm-heaven/"><em>Rhythm Heaven</em></a> with some new boxart, along with a terrible new release date and terrible new price: November 30 and $40, respectively. We are hoping against hope that these are both just placeholders, because while we <em>will</em> wait that long and pay that much, we really, really don't want to. The game is out in Japan! It was shown off at E3 2008! It's <em>done!</em> <br /><br />All we know for sure is that <em>Rhythm Heaven</em> is not coming out in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/17/pokemon-platinum-fire-emblem-tons-more-q1-releases-officially/">the first quarter of this year</a>. Nintendo's press site still has it scheduled for "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/02/rhythm-heaven-mario-and-luigi-3-vaguely-dated-for-us/">1st half 2009</a>." However, the fact that Gamestop has no listing at all for it <em>does</em> suggest that it's fairly far off.<br /><br /><br />[Via <a href="http://gonintendo.com/?p=68256">GoNintendo</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/06/rumor-rhythm-heaven-to-be-late-expensive/">Rumor: Rhythm Heaven to be late, expensive</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 06 Jan 2009 17:30:00 EST. The <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/24/tenchu-4-videos-are-a-neck-snapping-good-time/">Tenchu 4</a> </em>(or, rather, <em>Tenchu: Shadow Assassins</em>) <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/20/tenchu-4-surprise-boxart-attack/">boxart</a> we spotted on Ubisoft's site didn't really meet with the Internet's approval. While the image on the official site has yet to change, retailer GameCrazy is displaying a different boxart, which is quite likely to be a newer revision of <em>Tenchu'</em>s North American box image.<br /><br />We happen to think it looks better, though there's an odd mixture of art styles on display here due to the combination of art from the other American box and Japanese character art -- Rikimaru is a lot more realistic-looking than Ayame. <br /><br />After the break, have a look at the preorder bonus being given away at <a href="http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=72887">Gamestop</a>. It's pretty nice, <span style="font-style: italic;">for a video game-related bandana</span>.<br /><br /><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/22/two-bonuses-for-tenchu-4-better-boxart-and-bandana/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Two bonuses for Tenchu 4: Better boxart and bandana</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/22/two-bonuses-for-tenchu-4-better-boxart-and-bandana/">Two bonuses for Tenchu 4: Better boxart and bandana</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 22 Dec 2008 10:00:00 EST. The <a href="http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/asobu/index.html">packages</a> for the Japanese <em>Play on Wii</em> series feature the original boxarts for the GameCube games framed in a new white border, with a blue bar at the bottom explaining that the games have new Wii Remote-based controls. According to teensy preview images found on GameStop.com, the North American <em>New Play Control!</em> versions of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/10/pikmin-just-got-a-little-more-perfect/">Pikmin</a> </em>and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/18/mario-tennis-how-to-play-on-wii/">Mario Power Tennis</a>, </em>officially announced just <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/17/nintendo-unleashes-full-q1-schedule/">yesterday</a>, will employ the same strategy. As in, <em>exactly </em>the same. <br /><br />The only difference (aside from the language stuff and the fact that the North American boxart images are used) is that the <em>Play on Wii </em>boxes feature a <em>curved</em> top border in the blue area. If we're lucky, the covers will be <a href="http://blog.wired.com/games/2008/12/hands-on-donkey.html">reversible</a> like the Japanese ones. We probably won't be that lucky!<br /><br />We have yet to see the box designs for the European <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/15/nintendo-dates-play-on-wii-other-2009-releases-for-europe/">NEW PLAY CONTROL!</a> </em>series. We'll keep you updated, because we love pointing out that the European title for the series seems to officially be <em>NEW PLAY CONTROL!</em> in all caps.<br /><br />Source: <em><a href="http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=73028">Pikmin</a><br /></em>Source: <a href="http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=73029"><em>Mario Power Tennis</em></a><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/18/new-play-control-new-ish-boxart/">New Play Control! <br />Namco Bandai's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/07/the-healing-power-of-fragiles-bonfires/"><em>Fragile</em></a> isn't short on interesting characters. The latest is Shin, a brilliant (but socially weak) scientist and the latest addition to the game's ragtag cast. He'll be voiced by Toshio Furukawa (all of the game's dialog will be spoken), former voice star of <em>Dragon Ball Z</em>, <em>Gundam</em>, <em>Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops</em>, and <a href="http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=WlIWqAAATCQ">Jann Lee</a> of <em>Dead or Alive</em> fame.<br /><br />Though <em>Fragile</em> still can't match the oddball quotient of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/no-more-heroes/613036/"><em>No More Heroes</em></a>, it's encouraging to see Namco Bandai isn't falling back on stock RPG characters. We were going to mention how Shin might be the oddest-looking <em>Fragile</em> cast member yet, but then we remembered <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/01/fragile-is-the-weirdest-looking-wii-game-youll-see-today/">this guy</a>. Join us past the break for a look at the game's eye-catching Japanese boxart, and catch 14 new screens in the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/fragile/1191528/full/">gallery</a>.<br /><br /><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/28/another-character-enchanting-boxart-added-to-the-fragile-mix/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Another character, enchanting boxart added to the Fragile mix</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/28/another-character-enchanting-boxart-added-to-the-fragile-mix/">Another character, enchanting boxart added to the Fragile mix</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 28 Nov 2008 19:18:00 EST. Well, not <em>literally</em>, but it would seem that THQ has thrown out <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/27/thq-vs-activision-in-a-legal-baja-boxart-battle/">its lawsuit against Activision</a> over the boxart for <em>Baja 1000: Score International</em>. Activision has altered the boxart for their game (catch the image past the break), but, seeing as how the game has been available for a short while now, what of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/06/baja-1000-hits-shelves-despite-lawsuit/">the copies that have already reached store shelves</a>? THQ isn't too concerned about that, apparently.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/19/thq-and-activision-settle-box-art-suit/">Joystiq</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/20/thq-and-activision-kiss-and-make-up/">THQ and Activision kiss and make up</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 20 Nov 2008 11:54:00 EST. Capcom has released new character art by Shinkiro for the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/03/henshin-a-go-go-tatsunoko-vs-capcom/">newly-announced characters</a> in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/17/were-definitely-importing-tatsunoko-vs-capcom/"><em>Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes</em></a>. Despite Shinkiro's <a href="http://www.sfgalleries.net/art/cvs2/snk/">history</a>, Viewtiful Joe, Ippatsuman, and Saki bear little facial resemblance to George Clooney at all.<br /><br />They also released the above image, which will be used as the boxart for the Wii release of the 2.5D fighter. It's totally classic Shinkiro, semi-realistic, detailed, and -- yes, vaguely reminiscent of the star of <em>Ocean's Eleven</em>. We like how it's cleverly laid out to fit the Wii box: Viewtiful Joe, standing atop the PTX-40A, fills the narrower part of the white "Wii" band that will go at the top of the box.<br /><br />
<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/04/tatsunoko-vs-capcom-boxart-will-look-fantastic-on-no-american-s/">Tatsunoko vs. Capcom boxart will look fantastic on no American store shelves</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 04 Nov 2008 17:20:00 EST. Only <em>just now</em> after looking at it have we realized what Nintendo has done here: they've guaranteed <em>City Folk's</em> bestseller status by making it <em>yet another</em> first-party Wii game with a bundled peripheral. It now joins <em>Wii Play, Mario Kart Wii</em>, and <em>Wii Fit</em>. People really love big boxes!<br /><br />Amazon's price for the bundle is a cause for concern. Either they never bothered to update to the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/03/animal-crossing-wiispeak-bundle-cheaper-than-we-thought/">$59.99 price</a> or the price is back up to $69.99. One of this week's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/27/retail-and-download-releases-for-the-week-of-october-27th/">releases</a> might have flown under the radar, if not for the fact that the publisher is being sued over the boxart. It may not even end up being one of this week's releases! THQ has filed suit against Activision, claiming that the boxart for Activision's PS3/360/Wii <em>SCORE International Baja 1000 </em>infringes upon THQ's copyright, in that it looks too similar to THQ's PS3/360 <em>Baja Edge of Control</em>. <br /><br />According to THQ, both the front and the back of the boxart are "virtually identical," but we think THQ's seeing patterns where there are none. Sure, both games feature red trucks displayed in a distorted perspective with their right front tires coming into the camera kicking up rocks while the passenger holds on to a bar on the front with his right hand; and both feature blue and white trucks behind them and to their left, descending from a jump; and both feature cacti on the right side in roughly the same position; and they both just happen to have yellow-on-black distressed "Baja" logos tilted up ten degrees. But that's <em>all</em>. <br /><br />Through this lawsuit, THQ hopes to delay the release of Activision's game until they can produce some different artwork.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=20817">Gamasutra</a>]<br /><em></em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/27/thq-vs-activision-in-a-legal-baja-boxart-battle/">THQ vs. Activision in a legal Baja boxart battle</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 27 Oct 2008 13:34:00 EST. <br />Even before the boxart for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/madworld"><em>MadWorld</em></a> was unveiled, we found ourselves to be in love with the game. When <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/15/wii-fanboy-eyes-on-madworld/">we got our eyes on it</a> back at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/19/e308-wii-fanboys-e3-endgame-evaluation/">E3</a>, we entertained thoughts of pushing our way to the front of the crowd of journalists there to see the game, ripping the controller out of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/14/madworlds-inaba-japanese-devs-are-too-soft/">Atsushi Inaba</a>'s hands, and playing it for as long as we could before security came down to the area Platinum Games demoed the title for us and forcefully ejected us from the premises. The game just looks <em>that good</em>.<br /><br />What do you think of the boxart? Hate it? Love it? <em>This is a two-part column on digital distribution and its effect on the psychology of your average gamer. Next week we will look at the they way smaller, quick-fix digital game downloads may change our gaming habits.</em><br /><br />Sorry for the brief hiatus, Inconstant Readers, but I was too busy making repeated trips to the store to pick up more <a id="cqvp" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimenhydrinate" title="Dramamine">Dramamine</a> and an extra Dual Shock 3 after the PSN update <a id="uhki" href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/25/american-psn-releases-for-september-25th/" title="last week">last week</a>. Let's just say that what <a id="b0tn" href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wipeout-hd/" title="Wipeout HD">Wipeout HD</a> lacks as an epileptic stimulant it makes up for with motion sickness at 60fps. <a id="rh0." href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega-man-9/" title="Mega Man 9">Mega Man 9</a> should also carry a warning about possible "controller malfunction" - here's a tip kiddos: the original Sixaxis is slightly lighter than the Dual Shock 3 and thus has a smaller chance of cracking televisions and denting walls when thrown. <br /><br />Still, I wouldn't have traded this weekend's gaming experiences for anything short of an <a id="b4ec" href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/littlebigplanet/" title="LBP">LBP</a> <a id="roi:" href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/30/more-littlebigplanet-beta-codes-from-1up-and-gamepro/" title="beta">beta</a> <a id="fx35" href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/30/littlebigplanet-beta-codes-from-gametrailers-and-g4/" title="key">key</a>. Generally after some frantic gaming and letting my house devolve itself into a special level of disarray I rather savor picking up the pieces - smoothing out the crumbled instruction manuals and reinserting them into their cases while finding the perfect organizational spot on the shelf for the box art (alphabetically? by genre? <a id="b0-1" href="http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/08/19/boxart-with-credits/" title="producer">producer</a>?). Imagine my lament when come Monday morning I realized I had nothing but broken controller pieces to pick up. The game's I'd spent my weekend with were all digital downloads!<br /> <p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/04/philosony-wheres-my-box-art/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Philosony: Where's my box art?</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/04/philosony-wheres-my-box-art/">Philosony: Where's my box art?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 04 Oct 2008 12:00:00 EST. Well, thankfully, that changes today.<br /><br />We've got some fresh screens for the game, as well as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/boxart">boxart</a>. The boxart is, well, quite pleasing to us. We have Mama looking over the shoulder of our new wouldbe chef, smiling happily and ... wait, what is that? Mama, how could you? The first rule of the kitchen is to <em>turn off all unused burners</em> on the stove! Are you trying to get someone killed?! <br /><br />Tsk tsk, Mama. We guess we can still love you. When both <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/16/mega-man-9s-press-kit-inspires-more-nestalgia/">Capcom USA</a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/25/glorious-mega-man-9-boxart-japan-edition/">Capcom Japan</a> released their (very different) "box designs" for the downloadable <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/16/e308-mega-man-9-feels-more-like-a-10/"><em>Mega Man 9</em></a>, they each drew on their own histories of packaging for the series -- Capcom USA commissioning a ridiculously over-the-top image with Mega Man rendered as a low-rent space ranger, and Capcom Japan creating a dynamic, cartoony splash portrait of Mega Man surrounded by Robot Masters. Capcom Europe doesn't seem to have done anything in particular.<br /><br />With <em>Mega Man</em> boxart nostalgia more relevant than ever, we thought we would collect <em>Mega Man </em>boxarts in a handy annotated gallery. But this gallery doesn't feature <em>every Mega Man</em> boxart. Since <em>Mega Man</em> happens to be the most prolific game series <em>ever</em>, we had to put some stringent restrictions on what we would include. These restrictions are reasonably effective hints about just <em>how many</em> games there are: <br />
<ul>
    <li><strong>No spinoffs.</strong> Including games <em>not</em> starring the original Blue Bomber would have meant <em>hundreds</em> more images. This is about Mega Man anyway, not those other jokers.</li>
    <li><strong>No handheld games.</strong> Sorry, Game Boy <em>Mega Man</em> fans! This also means no Game Gear <em>Mega Man</em>, no GBA <em>Mega Man &amp; Bass,</em> and no <em>Rockman Battle &amp; Fighters. </em>The only exception, as pointed out by reader Antonio: the PSP <em>Mega Man: Powered Up</em>, which has really great boxes anyway, and which we forgot we weren't supposed to put in.<br /></li>
    <li><strong>No awful PC remakes.</strong> Enough time has been spent on those games. Which is to say, <em>any amount of time.</em></li>
    <li><strong>No guest appearances<em>. </em></strong>Sure, <em>SNK Vs. Capcom Card Fighters Clash</em> has Mega Man in it, but it's not a <em>Mega Man </em>game. Same with <em>Cannon Spike</em> and a hundred other games.<br /></li>
</ul>
Don't worry, there's still <em>plenty</em> left to look at!<br /><br />

<div align="left"><br />For all the, ahem, <em>polite debate</em> that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wii-music"><em>Wii Music</em></a> has encouraged, we can probably all agree that it has a nice-looking box. There's simply <em>no way</em> this could confuse Grandma.<br /><br />In other <em>Wii Music</em> news, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Music-Nintendo/dp/B001DO3NEW/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=videogames&amp;qid=1218651186&amp;sr=8-1">Amazon</a> and <a href="http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=72067">GameStop</a> have now both updated their release dates for the <strike>game</strike> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/16/e308-live-highlights-from-nintendos-private-conference/">toy</a>: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/13/wii-music-dated-for-us/">previously</a>, it was due November 3rd, but now both sites display October 20th. <div align="left">So here we go -- the next iteration of <em>Animal Crossing</em> is on its way, and we showed you the latest (the box) <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/04/animal-crossing-boxart-warms-our-cold-cold-hearts/#comments">already</a>. The art definitely emphasizes the larger <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/animal-crossing-city-folk/922584/full/">scope</a> of the title, while still using the familiar logo and character design. By now, though, you probably know whether or not you like <em>Animal Crossing</em>, considering you've had two chances to give it a shot. For a game like this, does the box even really matter? Do you thinkt hey should have changed it, or was keeping the characters -- with their familiar looks -- prominent important? Should the franchise's icons, like KK Slider, been more prominent? Do the fruit trees, and the idea of harvesting all that produce, give you nightmares?</div>

Just as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/03/deceptively-new-scans-of-animal-crossing/"><em>Animal Crossing: City Folk</em></a> won't be abandoning the series' <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/animal-crossing-city-folk/922510/full">trademark graphics</a>, so the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/boxart">boxart</a> is exactly what you'd expect: a bright, bustling village scene featuring fresh fruit, happy animals, KK strumming out a tune beneath a tree, and Tom Nook waiting to rake in your Bells. A lot of those villagers look familiar to! While a lot of traditional elements are on display, there is a hint of the fresh possibilities afforded by the titular <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/animal-crossing-city-folk/922584/full/">city</a>, and a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/animal-crossing-city-folk/922561/full/">bright yellow bus</a> to transport us there. Ah, we're excited already! Do you approve, dear reader?<br />

The screens contained in the latest <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/22/check-out-the-concrete-shot-in-mega-man-9/"><em>Mega Man 9</em></a> media update at Gpara are a mix of old and new, <em>awesome</em> and <em>also</em> awesome. But the real attraction is this amazing artwork, which serves as a Japanese counterpart to the amusing "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/17/e308-glorious-mega-man-9-boxart/">boxart</a>" displayed on t-shirts at E3. The disparity between <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/boxart/">boxart</a> styles continues, though it's intentional and hilarious this time: while the American art is a monsterpiece in vaguely realistic proportions, the Japanese art is on-model and anime-style. To make up for the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/20/what-the-did-ign-sneak-onto-my-okami-boxart/">unsightly blemish</a> on the covers that came with the game (sorry, IGN), <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Capcom/">Capcom</a> offered a selection of replacement art ranging from "the real cover, but IGN-free" to completely new, unconventional box designs, and we all got to pick one. <br /><br />We've had to wait a bit, but it turns out that we'll get <em>all</em> of them! According to Capcom's Colin Ferris, "Each cover sheet features the cleaned cover art on one side, and the two different new designs on the other." The covers are now on their way out, ready to adorn those copies of <em>Okami</em> that you forgot about or traded in.<br /><br />If you <em>didn't</em> order a replacement cover, perhaps because you didn't yet own <em>Okami</em> and are an honest person, you can still find the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/28/print-your-own-okami-boxart-ign-watermark-optional/">high-quality images</a> available for printing.<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/25/okami-replacement-covers-shipping-with-bonus/">Okami replacement covers shipping with bonus!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Aug 2008 11:51:00 EST. Wow, we sure <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/08/poll-results-remakes-of-choice/">called</a> this one. Like the rest of the game, the boxart for the DS version of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/18/chrono-trigger-gets-date-for-north-american-release/"><em>Chrono Trigger</em></a> is very similar to the original. Of course, in some cases, less (effort) is more, and this just may be one of them. Was there any way Square Enix could have improved on <em>Chrono Trigger's</em> boxart? <br /><br /><br />[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/23/one-step-closer-to-chrono-trigger-the-boxart/">One step closer to Chrono Trigger: the boxart</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 23 Aug 2008 15:02:00 EST.
