Before we start gettin' low and backing our things up though, don't forget that we're still on the lookout for new and exciting Miis! If you have any that you'd like to share, especially if they're music-themed like this week's collection is going to be, take a few pics and send them to mii at nintendowiifanboy dot com.

So what's the rapper to non-rapper ratio in your Mii Plaza? On my console, it's an easy 3:1. I created most of the hip-hop cartoon figures out of boredom, but there's a number that were produced for the specific purpose of motivating other Miis to throw their hands in the air, waving them as if they didn't have a care in the world. Jump past the post break for some of my favorite rapping Miis and submissions from our own talented readers!

Continue reading Mii Spotlight: All Eyez on Mii edition

Mii Spotlight: All Eyez on Mii edition originally appeared on Joystiq on Sat, 12 May 2007 19:00:00 EST. Regardless, the upcoming launch title Trauma Center: Second Opinion has garnered quite a bit of hype, and the latest issue of Famitsu has some details.

Unfortunately, Second Opinion will primarily be a retelling of the original DS title. The game does add a few extra missions (broken bones and heart transplants were mentioned) and several new characters, but Atlas is hoping that the Wiimote will offer up an experience fresh enough to warrant a repurchase from surgery vets. Three difficulty settings are now available (thank insert-your-deity-of-choice-here), and the game will be fully voice-acted. Please, Atlus, get a decent crew for the voice work.

Is this a cop-out, a scam, a ripoff? Is a fresh coat of paint enough to convince you to relive X6: Paraskevi? Will Derek ever hook up with Angie? Tune in at launch...and we might find out.
Trauma Center: Second Opinion details originally appeared on Joystiq on Thu, 27 Jul 2006 07:30:00 EST. Nintendo fans worldwide desperately defended themselves with many arguments, one of the strongest being that the DS was the first non-PC platform in existence that might do the real-time strategy genre justice. Ironically, as we sit in a year full of DS successes, one can't find a single critically-acclaimed RTS title for the system. Hmmm.

Ubisoft, however, is determined to change all that. While they've shown strong support of the Wii (see: launch title Red Steel), their acceptance of Nintendo's two-headed gaming wonder has been a bit slower...but they've come around. They're bringing the formerly PC-only title Settlers to the DS, chock full of awesomeness such as multiple campaigns, thirty different occupational groups, an easy-to-use stylus control scheme, and Chuck Norris. Well, okay. Maybe not that last one, but we're still excited.

(Seriously, how awesome would a Chuck Norris RTS be? I'm calling Ubisoft.)
Ubisoft loves Nintendo, RTS on the way originally appeared on Joystiq on Mon, 10 Jul 2006 19:55:00 EST. Our personal favorite:

Chuck Norris originally appeared inthe "Street Fighter II" video game, but was removed by Beta Testers because every button caused him to do aroundhouse kick.
