This trailer for Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles seems eerily familiar for a number of reasons. Beyond the could've-sworn-we-knew co-op feature, the footage also shows environments and bosses from Resident Evil Zero, One and Two, all the way through RE3, covering the initial train ride, the Mansion, and the Raccoon City outbreak.

Also, we could've sworn we saw Zombie #17 outside the Winchester in Shaun of the Dead. Guess they gotta make a living somehow, right? Video embedded after the break.

Does anyone even use the Wii's Photo Channel anymore? We suspect that many, like ourselves, thought the Photo Channel was a neat addition for about 15 minutes, after which the kitsch factor wore off and the channel was promptly relegated to the back pages of the Wii menu, to make room for copious Virtual Console purchases.

Well, apparently one person enjoys the Photo Channel, if for no other reason than zooming in and out on giant, time-consuming mosaics. Blogger Random J found footage of one user's mind-numbing labors. Watch, as hundreds of photos of cute anime girls transform into one giant cute anime girl! While not as visually or aesthetically appealing as the Children of Men-esque landscape in a previous trailer, this footage from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare multiplayer match gives a feeling for how their designing death match, as all we see in thirty seconds is our perspective shooter running in with a rifle, switching to pistol and getting shot. Thrilling.

Scheduled for release later this year, Insecticide could make an interesting adventure, as seen in its new backstory trailer. Insecticide is in the first crop of Gamecock titles strutting to market. This PC and DS game is created by Crackpot Entertainment, which boasts adventure game veterans with ties to the classic LucasArts hits.

We're still unclear about the actual gameplay -- the companies involved say it'll be in that classic vein -- but the game's style already has our hopes high. See the video, and count the legs after the break.

Even though some of us have played Boogie, the title continues to confuse others. Today's video pick is the first time it made sense for this writer: instead of a dancing-and-singing game, it's a game where you control a dancing-and-singing puppet. Finally, the lack of direct correlation between controllers and avatars -- like left controller for left arm -- makes sense.

It's still too early to predict Boogie's success, but at least we finally understand the basics. And it took us long enough -- the title is close to shipping, with an August 9, 2007 release. See the video after the break.

While we fear the series has run its course -- and rolled up the shark -- seemingly Xbox 360 exclusive and XBLA downloadable title Beautiful Katamari wins us over for today's video pick. The extended gameplay clip looks nearly the same as what we remember from the PS2 until the camera keeps pulling back and the Prince rolls up countries and continents. That's a big katamari, full of so many dreams and so much stuff.

We went through several stages with today's video picks. First, we thought, "Spinning Princess? An ice skating game for DS? That's going to suck." The next stage, after starting the video, left us saying, "This isn't so bad." Our latest trip down the internet's (You) Tubes leaves us basking in the mash-up glory of JudgeSpear. While LucasArts says it's adding some new content, we fear that the upcoming Lego Star Wars game, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga will just be a new name on an old title. One of today's hottest videos on YouTube is a recent match between Starcraft legend SlayerS_'BoxeR' (real name Lim Yo-Hwan) and Nal_rA (real name Kang Min). that was televised in Korea.

We collectively yawned a few days ago when the latest Mario Strikers Charged trailer appeared online -- it's a pre-animated video with no in-game footage. But the U.K. Mario Strikers commercial tipped us over the edge, and we're showing those videos in this post, especially after today's news of a U.S. July 30 release.

While we're glad that the Wii is getting some online action, we chortled at the tagline of "the first online game on Wii." How about "finally, an online game on Wii"? At least the ad doesn't pretend that Mii Parade is a game.

As baseball players keep bulking up in unnatural ways, we wonder if this extreme version of the sport is what fans want to see; upcoming 2K Sports baseball game, The Bigs, seems to take that pro-girth approach. GameTrailers shows off a few brief Seaman 2 videos, our collective pick for today's video. While not yet announced for release outside of Japan, Seaman 2 taps into the risky, creative side of gaming we laud. Admittedly, those gambles don't always pay off, but when they do, they're why we play games.

The videos show a few people playing the game, even Japanese schoolgirls! And while we question the focus-group style of the clips -- the clips could have easily been created by an ad agency and actors -- they give a glimpse into this simian sequel to the previous underwater pet title.

Today's hottest video goes out for all you Halo 3 fans -- at least 5 million, by our counts. Microsoft employee Mr. Jukes, reportedly the most fanatical player in the company, has created a video of his playtime with the internal beta. Bungie has released the video for the world to see.

They also remind the fanbase that this beta is a bit older than what will soon be released for mass enjoyment testing. "This was fully sanctioned and approved by Bungie," the developer added, "unlike some of those other 'leaked' videos that have ended up online."

Square Enix's Party 2007, honoring Final Fantasy's 20th anniversary, is this month. Shown in the video are snippets from at least four different games, including Dragon Quest 9. The announcer, speaking in Japanese, promises "the newest Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest titles." We've heard about quite a few FF games being announced lately, and we're expecting at least a sighting of Kingdom Hearts.

Part one is a discussion with some of the producers concerning the decision to go with real life actors as opposed to, say, CG characters. Part two features interviews with Nod actors Joe Kucan (a very soft-spoken individual unlike his Kane counterpart), Tricia Helfer and Josh Holloway, and GDI actress Jennifer Morrison. Part three continues the interviews with GDI actors Michael Ironside, Billy Dee "don't call me Lando" Williams, John Huck, Shannon Cook and Grace Park. Part four discusses the setting, costume and makeup designs. All with behind-the-scenes footage of the production with green and blue screens very visible.

Our favorite line comes from Ironside in part three. Discussing how the actors needed to act to the camera, he said that he had to relate to a range of personality "male, female ranging from 16 to 66 and different mode of dress at different times of day with different forms of food in their hand while they're playing." With the foolingest day of the year behind us, we welcome a trailer for Super Rub 'a' Dub, a game that at first glance looked like a joke. But, no, the game is a real downloadable title for the PS3, and the trailer quickly turned us from skeptical to interested. Players pilot a rubber duck through elaborate pools with the Sixaxis motion controls, herding up smaller ducks in the process. Elements of the game remind us of Lemmings and ChuChu Rocket; we hope the final title lives up to those classics.

This YTMND mash-up loops soon after it starts, but the quick editing is dense with detail; we laughed through several repetitions.

Real Life Mario Kart, created by Panda Smash, is our pick for today's video. While this comedy short runs a little long at six minutes, we laughed at this group's Mario Kart race staged with tricycles. Our favorite part was finally recognizing one of the players as Fishin' Lakitu, resetting the racers after the many times they tipped over.
