Guerrilla Games managing director Hermen Hulst first showed off the DualShock 4 controller before taking Fallon and guest Anthony Anderson through a hands-on demo of <em>Shadow Fall</em>.<br /><br />While the three-minute demo was essentially the same sequence showcased in the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/20/watch-the-killzone-shadow-fall-announcement-demo-right-here/">reveal trailer</a>, a couple of interesting morsels did emerge. While talking about the greater range of possibilities with the PS4's boosted hardware, Hulst noted the demo's climbing segment as something Guerrilla wasn't "able to do with Killzone before." Secondly, we got a clearer look at <em>Shadow Fall</em>'s slowdown mechanic in action, which Hulst called "Focus Mode."<br /><br />Also, as much as we'd prefer to see useful footage of just-announced hardware, we did snigger at Anderson pointing the controller all over the shop like a man trying to hold on to a wriggly kitten. What good is a hands-on demo, Mr Anderson, if you're unable to play it?<br /><br /><em>Killzone: Shadow Fall</em> is coming to the PS4 at launch, which is due Holiday 2013.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/22/ps4-demo-with-killzone-shadow-fall-on-jimmy-fallon/">PS4 demo with Killzone: Shadow Fall on Jimmy Fallon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 22 Feb 2013 07:30:00 EST. That date seemingly shifted to a less definitive "2013" recently, as Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann and game director Bruce Straley told Jimmy Fallon as much on last night's Late Night.<br /><br />The Naughty Dog duo also gave Fallon a personal walkthrough of the gameplay <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/04/the-last-of-us-e3-demo-video-is-brutal-bloody/">we saw back at E3</a>, with 100 percent <em>fewer</em> swears and 100 percent <em>more</em> Jimmy Fallon commentary. Continuing his week of video game-themed coverage, Jimmy Fallon played host to Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime last night. Check out the video below to see <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/the-legend-of-zelda-skyward-sword"><em>The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword</em></a> in action, and to hear Reggie talk up the Wii U, which will apparently launch "in 2012, after April."<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/18/reggie-demos-skyward-sword-on-jimmy-fallon-says-wii-u-coming-af/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Reggie demos Skyward Sword on Jimmy Fallon, says Wii U coming after April 2012</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/18/reggie-demos-skyward-sword-on-jimmy-fallon-says-wii-u-coming-af/">Reggie demos Skyward Sword on Jimmy Fallon, says Wii U coming after April 2012</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 18 Jun 2011 17:30:00 EST. As promised, the first console-based action from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/battlefield-3"><em>Battlefield 3</em></a> appeared last evening on Jimmy Fallon's late night show, teasing a scene <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/16/watch-12-minutes-of-gorgeous-battlefield-3-gameplay/">we've watched play out</a> a dozen or so times now on the PC version. Despite the grumblings of many long-time PC <em>Battlefield</em> gamers -- not to mention our own doubts -- <em>BF3</em> running on PlayStation 3 looks pretty wonderful.<br />
<br />
We'll leave it to the pixel counters at Digital Foundry to fully analyze the difference between console and PC releases of <em>Battlefield 3</em> when it launches this October, but given our lack of expensive gaming rigs and our overabundance of Xbox 360s and PlayStation 3s, you can guess where we'll be playing the next big <em>Battlefield</em> title. Head past the break to see how Fallon fared.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/17/battlefield-3-console-footage-unveiled-on-latest-fallon/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Battlefield 3 console footage unveiled on latest Fallon</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/17/battlefield-3-console-footage-unveiled-on-latest-fallon/">Battlefield 3 console footage unveiled on latest Fallon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 17 Jun 2011 09:02:00 EST. Of all the things that Jimmy Fallon is -- a man who can't help but laugh at his own jokes, half the starring cast of the hit film <em>Taxi</em> -- he's been largely represented on Joystiq in one way: as a gamer. Fallon held up his reputation once again last night by having Naughty Dogs Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra on to show off <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/uncharted-3-drakes-deception"><em>Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception</em></a>, playing through a bit of the demo <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/08/uncharted-3-single-player-preview-loud-quiet-loud/">we saw last week at E3.</a><br />
<br />
Most odd about the demo, however, is Fallon's repeated amazement at what the game does when he himself isn't actually controlling Drake's actions. If Naughty Dog was hoping for Fallon to dramatically point out the game's scripted action moments, he <em>more</em> than overdelivers. Head past the break and look on in amazement with us, won't you?<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/16/uncharted-3-scouts-late-night-with-jimmy-fallon/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Uncharted 3 scouts Late Night with Jimmy Fallon</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/16/uncharted-3-scouts-late-night-with-jimmy-fallon/">Uncharted 3 scouts Late Night with Jimmy Fallon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 16 Jun 2011 11:20:00 EST. We've seen quite a bit of the drop-dead gorgeous PC version of <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/battlefield-3"><em>Battlefield 3</em></a>, but thus far the console version has been kept out of the public eye. That's set to change tomorrow night, as <em>Late Night with Jimmy Fallon</em> will debut the console version of <em>Battlefield 3</em>. Specifically, the Battlefield Blog reveals that Jimmy will be demonstrating the PS3 version of the game with the help of DICE's Johan Dohl. The show is scheduled to air tomorrow night at 12:35AM (11:35PM CST).<br />
<br />
The demo comes as part of Jimmy Fallon's <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/jimmyfallon/status/76692245377585153">video game week</a>. Tonight's episode will feature <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/uncharted-3"><em>Uncharted 3</em></a> and the <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/wii-u">Wii U</a> is expected on Friday. In case you missed them, we've embedded Monday and Tuesday's sneak peeks of <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-3"><em>Modern Warfare 3</em></a> and <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/gears-of-war-3"><em>Gears of War 3</em></a> after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/15/battlefield-3-console-version-to-debut-on-jimmy-fallon-thursday/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Battlefield 3 console version to debut on Jimmy Fallon Thursday</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/15/battlefield-3-console-version-to-debut-on-jimmy-fallon-thursday/">Battlefield 3 console version to debut on Jimmy Fallon Thursday</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 15 Jun 2011 18:29:00 EST. We expected Jimmy Fallon to flip out during Reggie Fils-Aime's 3DS demonstration during last night's episode of <a href="http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/video/Nintendo-3DS-Sneak-Peek-with-Reggie-Fils-Aime-(3/25/11)/1316217">Late Night</a>. We expected the audience to get a kick out of the device's AR functionality. However, we did not expect the 3DS to swap Fallon's gender on live national television. <em>Priceless</em>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/26/fallon-gets-his-adult-female-face-blown-away-during-3ds-demo-o/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Fallon gets his 'Adult Female Face' blown away during 3DS demo on Late Night</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/26/fallon-gets-his-adult-female-face-blown-away-during-3ds-demo-o/">Fallon gets his 'Adult Female Face' blown away during 3DS demo on Late Night</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 26 Mar 2011 17:00:00 EST. With only two days until launch, it looks like Nintendo is <em>finally</em> ready to get the word out on the 3DS. Tonight at 12:35am (11:35pm Central) Nintendo president <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/reggie-fils-aime">Reggie Fils-Aime</a> will <a href="http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/blogs/2011/03/fridays-guest-reggie-fils-aime/">pay a visit</a> to his <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/26/reggie-confirms-2011-launch-for-3ds-on-fallon/">good friend</a>, Jimmy Fallon. Reggie will be bringing a DS and Face Raiders along with him, so expect plenty of face-blasting antics. Who knows, maybe Reggie will do his best to top <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/05/jimmy-fallon-kinect/">Kudo</a> by giving a 3DS to everyone in the audience.<br />
<br />
We can only hope Reggie also breaks out 3DS camera's facial "merge" feature. If he doesn't, however, we've put our best effort into capturing the same magic with the monstrosities you see above. <em>You're welcome!</em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/25/jimmy-fallon-3ds/">Reggie Fils-Aime on Jimmy Fallon tonight (in 2D)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 25 Mar 2011 18:39:00 EST. Felicia Day appeared on yesterday's episode of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" to promote <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/15/felicia-day-dragon-age-redemption/">Dragon Age: Redemption</a></em>, a six-episode web series in which she plays Tallis, a sarcastic elf assassin. Uh, that is to say, she's a sarcastic elf <em>and</em> an assassin -- otherwise she'd have to stab herself immediately.<br />
<br />
Day reveals that there's no danger of that happening by accident, as she spent several months training with daggers before filming. The enthusiastic star didn't share much in the way of plot or how it connects with <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/dragon-age-2">Dragon Age 2</a></em>, but the first trailer (embedded after break) reveals that it won't be all dialogue trees. Based on the brief bit of footage, we can deduce that Tallis' main activities include sprinting through forests, ducking beneath axes and <em>smoldering</em> directly into the camera.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/17/dragon-age-redemption-web-series-starting-in-summer/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Dragon Age: Redemption web series starting in summer</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/17/dragon-age-redemption-web-series-starting-in-summer/">Dragon Age: Redemption web series starting in summer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 Feb 2011 07:00:00 EST. Naughty Dog has <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/12/09/uncover-the-truth-in-uncharted-3/">revealed</a> a little more (or a lot more, depending on your television) about <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/uncharted-3-drakes-deception">Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception</a></em> -- specifically the fact that the game will support stereoscopic 3D. Yes, we know what that means: Sully's mustache will never have looked more real.<br />
<br />
In related news (related to <em>Uncharted 3</em>, not Victor Sullivan's facial hair), <em>Late Night</em> host Jimmy Fallon has taken to <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/jimmyfallon/status/12920994733760512">Twitter</a> with word that the game's developer will be his guests on Monday, December 13. The Naughty Dog crew will deliver the first live gameplay demo of its latest PS3-exclusive adventure -- in mind-blowing 2D, just like the teaser video posted after the break.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/uncharted-3-drakes-deception/">Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/uncharted-3-drakes-deception/#3652867"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/12/uncharted-3-game-art290_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/uncharted-3-drakes-deception/#3654072"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/12/524617965991bc66703ao_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/uncharted-3-drakes-deception/#3654073"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/12/524678143444c372f9d5o_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/uncharted-3-drakes-deception/#3654074"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/12/5246241367596144767eo_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/uncharted-3-drakes-deception/#3654075"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/12/5246842680904874ab30o_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/09/uncharted-3-goes-3d-first-gameplay-demo-on-fallon-dec-13/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Uncharted 3 goes 3D, first gameplay demo on Fallon Dec. 13</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/09/uncharted-3-goes-3d-first-gameplay-demo-on-fallon-dec-13/">Uncharted 3 goes 3D, first gameplay demo on Fallon Dec. 13</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 09 Dec 2010 12:55:00 EST. Giving out <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/kinect">Kinect</a> to a studio audience just seems like the classy thing to do these days. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/10/19/watch-oprah-give-kinect-to-her-entire-audience-and-the-hyste/">Oprah did it</a>, and now Jimmy Fallon is doing it too. Last night on <a href="http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/video/microsoft-xbox-kinect-demo-11410/1258190/"><em>Late Night with Jimmy Fallon</em></a>, after demoing <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/kinect-sports"><em>Kinect Sports</em></a> and <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/dance-central"><em>Dance Central</em></a> with Microsoft's Kudo Tsunoda and Harmonix's Naoko Takamoto, the affable host announced that everyone in the audience would be leaving with an Xbox 360 Kinect bundle.<br />
<br />
We're happy for the audience, but the event was overshadowed by another occurrence. It was something rarely seen on the mortal plane, something more precious than a unicorn: <em>Kudo wasn't wearing sunglasses</em>. Jimmy and Kudo actually discussed the missing eyewear before staring their play session, and it turns out he took off the shades for his mother. Say it with us: <em>Awwwwwww</em>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/05/jimmy-fallon-kinect/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Jimmy Fallon gives everyone in his audience a Kinect</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/05/jimmy-fallon-kinect/">Jimmy Fallon gives everyone in his audience a Kinect</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 05 Nov 2010 16:40:00 EST. Nintendo of America's towering president stopped by the set of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon yesterday, closing off the show's week long celebration of upcoming video games with a look at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/donkey-kong-country-returns"><em>Donkey Kong Country Returns</em></a>. After teaching Fallon the correct method of Diddy-maneuvering, Reggie Fils-Aime brought out the big guns: The <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/3ds">3DS</a>, which he told Fallon would be coming out "next year." Oh, that thing you just heard? That was the sound of one thousand Christmases being simultaneously <em>ruined</em>.<br />

You can check out the <em>Donkey Kong</em> demo and Fallon's enthusiastic reaction to the handheld's glasses-less 3D effects in the video posted after the jump.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/26/reggie-confirms-2011-launch-for-3ds-on-fallon/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Reggie confirms 2011 launch for 3DS on Fallon</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/26/reggie-confirms-2011-launch-for-3ds-on-fallon/">Reggie confirms 2011 launch for 3DS on Fallon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 26 Jun 2010 13:30:00 EST. The trailer is prefaced by some banter with Mister B about his vintage Nintendo Power appearance and what makes a great game.<br />
<br />
The new game has playable female soldiers in it! Take that, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/01/crackdown-2-will-not-feature-female-agents/">Crackdown 2</a></em><em>!</em> Don't worry, it's still jam-packed with men who look like refrigerators and mellow music, like the famous <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/27/mad-world-gears-ad-propels-song-to-1-on-itunes/">Gears of War</a> </em>trailer (in this case, Sun Kil Moon's "Heron Blue"). Other elements mentioned by Cliff include new weapons and new aliens -- "crazy tentacle monsters" with mutating ability. Bleszinski said <em>GOW3 </em>will arrive "probably around April 8" -- one year after his Late Night appearance was <em>supposed</em> to be shown. Wouldn't that have been nice marketing? Oh, well.<br />
<br />
Update: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/13/gears-of-war-3-dated-april-5-2011/">Official release date</a> is April 5, 2011. And catch Cliff's Late Night appearance after the break.<br />

<div style="text-align: right;"><small>[<a href="http://www.capcom-unity.com/shana/blog/2010/01/18/the_mysterious_history_of_dark_void_zero!">Capcom-Unity</a>]</small></div>
As weird as an 8-bit style promotional DSiWare game made for a high-end next-gen game is, the weirdest thing about<em><a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/dark-void-zero"> Dark Void Zero</a></em> is definitely the Jimmy Fallon connection. According to the fake history Capcom and Other Ocean concocted for the DSiWare game, a young Fallon won a contest in the '80s and won both placement in the fictional game and the only known copy of the title, which Capcom "tracked down" to port to DSiWare (and now <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/07/dark-void-zero-landing-on-iphone-and-pc-april-12/">iPhone and PC</a>, as well). We assumed it was just a desperate celebrity endorsement on the part of Capcom, but the truth is actually even weirder.<br />
<br />
Other Ocean's Mike Mika thought up the "contest winner" angle to make the game seem more authentic, but decided that having someone well-known win the prize would make it even more identifiable. Speaking to <a href="http://www.gamesetwatch.com/2010/04/interview_other_oceans_mika_ta.php">GameSetWatch</a>, Mika said "So, in this case, we worked on a game a while ago with Jimmy Fallon back with a company I was working for before Other Ocean. He's an incredibly smart guy who knows a lot about games. He knows a lot about computer engineering. And he had this game that he wanted to get made that was actually fantastic." <br />
<br />
The plans for Fallon's game with the other company never panned out, but Mika and Fallon kept in touch. "And I know he was a big NES fan, so when this opportunity came up, I was trying to find a way to legitimize the game a bit. I just emailed him and just said, "Hey. Do you want to be in an NES game?" I told him kind of what I wanted to do with it, and he totally went with it."<br />
<br />
Elsewhere in the interview, MIka discusses the challenges of propagating an alternate-reality history, as well as the real origins of <em>Dark Void Zero</em>.<br />

When Epic Games' <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/07/psa-cliff-bleszinskis-new-game-reveal-on-fallon-bumped-to-mond/">Cliff Bleszinski got bumped</a> from last night's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon because of a Justin Bieber-shaped "scheduling conflict," someone forgot to tell the Xbox Dashboard programming team who, inadvertently, spoiled Mr. B's big reveal: <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/09/gears-of-war-3-announced-by-your-xbox/">Gears of War 3</a></em>. Re-booked for Monday's show with no big reveal has left Epic Games with only one alternative: reveal a second game! <br />
<br />
CliffyB took to Twitter with the following comment: "NEWSFLASH: Two announcements about two upcoming games on Monday. BOOM!" Lucky for them, Epic has a second game that's just about ready for its close-up, People Can Fly's <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Bulletstorm/">Bulletstorm</a>.</em><br />
<br />
Now, he didn't say specifically that <em>Bulletstorm</em> would be the second "upcoming" game, but the pieces are certainly in place. Take, for example, the cover of next month's Game Informer magazine, which can already be found floating around various corners of the internet. Of course, Epic could simply be following Nintendo's lucrative <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/09/pokemon-black-and-white-announced-for-ds/">Pokemon strategy</a> and releasing two editions of <em>Gears of War 3</em>. If so, might we suggest <em>Gears of War 3 Brown</em> and <em>Gears of War 3 Gray</em>?<br />
<br />
[<strong>Update</strong>: Not ones to let some internet scans steal their story, the Game Informer crew has come right out and <a href="http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/04/09/may-cover-revealed.aspx">said it</a>, albeit a few days <a href="http://twitter.com/adrianchm/statuses/11907666035">earlier than planned</a>: "The latest issue of Game Informer Magazine [has a] world-exclusive look at People Can Fly's upcoming shooter, Bulletstorm." Originally scheduled for tonight's <em>Late Night With Jimmy Fallon</em> taping, Bleszinski's appearance has been bumped to Monday night, April 12 at 12:35/11:35C.<br />
<br />
The news was dropped by Gavin Purcell, co-producer of <em>Late Night</em>, <a href="http://twitter.com/gavinpurcell/status/11794353811">via his Twitter feed</a>. Purcell cited a "scheduling conflict" as the reason for the last-minute switcheroo. If, like us, you're already grabbing your remote to do just that, <em>Late Night </em>airs on NBC at 12:35/11:35C and Mr. Fallon is specifically referring to the show that will air the night of Thursday, April 8 (or very early Friday, April 9 depending where you live). Any guesses that don't rhyme with "deers and boars tree?"<br />

Hoping to pile some extra coal into the hype train's engine, 2K took up the whole first commercial block of <em>Late Night with Jimmy Fallon</em> with a 3-minute-15-second launch trailer. It's a cool clip, but we get the uneasy feeling that the heavy reliance on non-gameplay, first-person action is just a touch misleading. That said, it's just a couple of inches above this sentence, so you can judge for yourself.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/03/bioshock-2-gets-midnight-release-new-launch-trailer/">BioShock 2 gets midnight release, new launch trailer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 03 Feb 2010 09:33:00 EST. Though we may not be steadfast watchers of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/late-night-with-jimmy-fallon">Jimmy Fallon's late night talkshow</a>, we have to give the man credit for once again bringing the world of gaming into his decidedly non-gaming television show. While Robin Williams guested on Fallon's show this week, he asked the hairy-handed comedian about his gaming habits - some of which <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2005/12/14/robin-williams-is-a-sniper-in-battlefield-2/">we've covered in the past</a> - and found out that not only does the man play his fair share of <em>Call of Duty</em>, but he also named his daughter "Zelda" after ... well, <em>the</em> Princess Zelda. <br />
<br />
"My daughter is named after a video game ... Zelda, Princess Zelda. I don't call her Princess Zelda ... only occasionally ... but she's named after <em>Zelda</em>." So forget about your <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/23/omg-shia-labeouf-totally-not-into-the-wii/">LaBeoufs</a> and your <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/04/eliza-dushku-games-acceptable-and-cool-for-grown-ups/">Dushkus</a> - Robin Williams is holding it down <em>hardcore</em> and <em>old-school</em> for all of Hollywood.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/28/robin-williams-plays-call-of-duty-named-his-daughter-zelda-gue/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Robin Williams plays Call of Duty, named his daughter Zelda (guess why!)</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/28/robin-williams-plays-call-of-duty-named-his-daughter-zelda-gue/">Robin Williams plays Call of Duty, named his daughter Zelda (guess why!)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 28 Nov 2009 21:30:00 EST. That's it, folks -- the game industry has finally made it into the bigtime! With <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/brutal-legend"><span style="font-style: italic;">Br&uuml;tal Legend</span></a>'s dark overlord Tim Schafer appearing on <a href="http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/video/clips/tim-schafer-talks-brutal-legend-10209/1163087/">Late Night with Jimmy Fallon</a> leading up to the game's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/21/brutal-legend-rocks-up-on-oct-13/">October 13 release</a> (video found after the break), it's become clear to us that we've <span style="font-style: italic;">finally made it</span>. What more could we ask than one of the game industry's greats appearing on a late night television show? Next thing we know, editors of Joystiq sister site Engadget will be <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/01/09/jimmy-fallon-and-engadget-raw-and-uncut/">appearing on Fallon</a> and <span style="font-style: italic;">Halo</span> will have <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/game-fuel">its own soda</a>! Yeah, right, like <span style="font-style: italic;">that</span> will ever happen. <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://kotaku.com/5373414/watch-tim-schafer-on-late-night-with-jimmy-fallon">Kotaku</a>]<br />

<em>Late Night</em> host <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/jimmy-fallon">Jimmy Fallon</a> continues fulfilling his <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/27/fallon-promises-game-premieres-movie-premiere-status/">pledge</a> to be as inclusive of video games as other forms of entertainment tonight by welcoming onto his set Tim Schafer, creator of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/brutal-legend">Br&uuml;tal Legend</a> </em>(you <em>might </em>have heard of it). We imagine the interview will focus mostly on why Schafer decided to make a heavy metal-themed game, but we also have a sneaking suspicion the gaming legend may have some <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/24/gdc09-we-write-some-jokes-for-tim-schafer/">serious funny</a> up his sleeve. So, gaming luminary Tim Schafer is <a href="http://kotaku.com/5357389/tim-schafer-finally-gets-his-date-with-fallon">set to appear</a> on <em>Late Night with Jimmy Fallon</em> on <strike>October</strike> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/brutal-legend">Rocktober</a> 2. Here's our guess as to how the show will play out:<br /><br />In short, it will be the greatest episode of the show ever produced. It will be poignant, important and, most of all, funny. It will be critically hailed as one of television's greatest moments, and something that everyone with a television should see. Fresh-faced late night host (and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/18/video-josh-jimmy-fallon-and-the-iphone-3-ga-speed/">Engadget superfriend</a>) Jimmy Fallon recently trounced golf superstar Tiger Woods in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/25/jimmy-fallon-takes-on-tiger-woods-this-thursday-night/">a Times Square showdown round</a> of <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10</em>. Just as aging classic rockers are incapable of grasping the musical mechanics of <em>Rock Band</em>, it seems Mr. Woods was unable to translate his real-life adroitness to the virtual greens -- Fallon bested him by "a large margin," <a href="http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/06/25/tiger-woods-and-jimmy-fallon-do-battle-in-times-square/">according to MTV Multiplayer</a>.<br /><br />Try not to take it too hard, Woodsy. We're sure you could beat him at <em>Don't Laugh During Every Freaking Sketch During Your Six-Year Stint on Saturday Night Live 2010</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/25/jimmy-fallon-beats-tiger-woods-at-his-own-game/">Jimmy Fallon beats Tiger Woods at his own game</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 25 Jun 2009 23:00:00 EST. Late Night with Jimmy Fallon host, uh, Jimmy Fallon, laid down the gauntlet for one golf legend Tiger Woods recently, challenging him in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10,@nintendo"><em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10</em></a> on Wii. <a href="http://kotaku.com/5301231/tiger-woods-accepts-jimmy-fallons-late-night-wii-golf-challenge">Kotaku</a> reports that Tiger has accepted and will play Fallon on his late-night show this Thursday. <br /><br />We take special interest in this because we've always had a dream of challenging Bill Laimbeer in his stellar SNES basketball romp, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNJpJptNct0"><em>Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball</em></a>, so you can bet we'll be cheering Fallon on all the way.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/25/jimmy-fallon-takes-on-tiger-woods-this-thursday-night/">Jimmy Fallon takes on Tiger Woods this Thursday night</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 25 Jun 2009 01:00:00 EST. Last night on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/10/project-natal-making-a-guest-appearance-on-jimmy-fallon-tonight/">Late Night with Jimmy Fallon</a>, Microsoft's Kudo Tsunoda brought along his baby, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/project-natal">Project Natal</a>, and let Jimmy Fallon, John Krasinski, and Stephen Moyer go to town. The footage has made its way onto <a href="http://www.hulu.com/watch/77038/late-night-with-jimmy-fallon-project-natal-demo">Hulu</a> and while these are pretty much the same demos for <span style="font-style: italic;">Ricochet</span> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/burnout-paradise"><em>Burnout Paradise</em></a> that we saw at E3 last week, they're still impressive. If you're wondering about the <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106977/">Harrison Ford</a> garb, apparently it was mentioned that the group didn't wear them for the game's benefit (we couldn't find the clip online explaining it). Is Jimmy trying to start a new fashion trend?<br /><br />You can check out the footage from last night's episode past the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/11/video-project-natal-invades-late-night-with-jimmy-fallon/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video: Project Natal invades Late Night with Jimmy Fallon</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/11/video-project-natal-invades-late-night-with-jimmy-fallon/">Video: Project Natal invades Late Night with Jimmy Fallon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 11 Jun 2009 11:45:00 EST. <br />Remember when <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/27/fallon-promises-game-premieres-movie-premiere-status/">Jimmy Fallon said</a> he was "going to treat a video game premiere as if it was a movie premiere"? Yeah, we do too. While <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/16/morgan-webb-plays-punch-out-with-jimmy-fallon/"><em>Punch-Out!!</em> was cute</a>, it didn't quite cut the mustard around here. How about Microsoft's controller-less wunderkind <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Project-Natal/">Project Natal</a>? It's such a hot premiere, it's a year early! Eighteen months early? Two years? Who knows, it's early! <br /><br />Regardless, Fallon's invited Microsoft's own Kudo Tsunoda to show off his sunglasses indoors again (mark our words). But that's not all - he's bringing along a prototype Project Natal camera (see the decidedly <em>unattractive</em> box above) and a demo of <em>Ricochet</em>, the ball-slapping simulator (<em>ahem</em>) they showed off during the E3 keynote. Unfortunately, it's not the best-looking demo we can imagine showing on a 108" display (it's bested by <em>Punch-Out!!</em>) but the tech is what's on display here. Tune in at 12:35pm ET (or thereabouts) to watch for yourself. <br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-natal/">Project Natal</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-natal/#2071676"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/projectnatal-briefphoto2-1024_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-natal/#2071675"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/projectnatal-briefphoto1-1024_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-natal/#2075498"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/img_0841_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-natal/#2075499"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/img_0842_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/project-natal/#2075500"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/img_0846_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Via <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/10/project-natal-prototype-hardware-pictured-on-jimmy-fallon/">Engadget</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/10/project-natal-making-a-guest-appearance-on-jimmy-fallon-tonight/">Project Natal making a guest appearance on Jimmy Fallon tonight</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 10 Jun 2009 22:35:00 EST. Wow, writing that headline was as close as we've ever come to being Perez Hilton. What an odd moment. Oh, but anyway, G4's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/morgan-webb">Morgan Webb</a> was on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/jimmy-fallon">Jimmy Fallon</a>'s show last night and she brought along the new Wii version of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/punch-out/">Punch-Out!!</a></em>.<br /><br />So now, just a paragraph after feeling like Perez Hilton, we're going to tell you that if you check after the break, you can watch Jimmy Fallon fighting King Hippo as Morgan Webb, Ice-T and Elmo look on. ... This is turning out to be a <em>really</em> weird Thursday.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/16/morgan-webb-plays-punch-out-with-jimmy-fallon/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Morgan Webb plays Punch-Out!! with Jimmy Fallon</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/16/morgan-webb-plays-punch-out-with-jimmy-fallon/">Morgan Webb plays Punch-Out!! with Jimmy Fallon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 16 Apr 2009 11:30:00 EST. This Monday, "<a href="http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/">Late Night with Jimmy Fallon</a>" begins and Conan O'Brien ascends the ranks of late nightdom into the much-vaunted "Tonight Show" position. Why is this exciting news for you, you ask? Because <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/2009/01/22/felicia-day-teaches-jimmy-fallon-about-world-of-warcraft/">Fallon loves Felicia Day</a>! Wait, no, that's not it. It's because Fallon, like <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/01/09/jimmy-fallon-and-engadget-raw-and-uncut/">Engadget's Josh Topolsky</a>, is a big fan of comically oversized iPhones. Wait, that's not it either.<br /><br />No friends, it's because, <a href="http://www.canada.com/Will+Late+Night+fans+fall+Fallon+writer+steps+into+Conan+Brien+shoes/1334877/story.html">speaking with Canada.com</a>, Fallon said, "We're going to treat a video game premiere as if it was a movie premiere. My generation grew up with the computer. We grew up with the Internet. We live in a video game type of world - video games are second nature to us. Games make more money, as an industry, than the film industry." He's certainly got a point. We'll be on the lookout for Mr. Fallon's promises on March 2nd, when his show premieres. And ya know, Jimmy, if you're ever looking for experts in the gaming field ... your friends at the 'Stiq are always available.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/27/fallon-promises-game-premieres-movie-premiere-status/">Fallon promises game premieres 'movie premiere' status</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 27 Feb 2009 20:20:00 EST.
