Hitman: Absolution from developer IO Interactive brings "The Original Assassin" out from the cold and back to The Agency. Today, Joystiq will explore the PC version of Hitman: Absolution with IO Interactive's Tore Blystad and Sven Liebold and see if Agent 47's time away from gamers have left his tradecraft sharp or in need of a tune up.

Right now, from 2pm through 3pm Eastern (11-12pm PT), we'll be streaming Hitman: Absolution single-player along with multiple challenges in the game's new "Contracts" mode. War of the Roses, FatShark's multiplayer melee combat game set in the Middle Ages, launches on Steam on October 2. Today, we're sitting down with Paradox Interactive senior producer Gordon Van Dyke to talk about the famous conflict that inspired his new game and his transition from working on big-budget Battlefield games at EA to his first project at Swedish publisher Paradox Interactive.

Our first live stream of Sleeping Dogs was so successful, we've decided to venture through the mean streets of Hong Kong once more. This time, Joystiq is giving away multiple Steam versions of the game to viewers. On August 14, United Front Games will finally launch its open-world action adventure, Sleeping Dogs. The developer hit a few speed bumps along the way, but is ready to pull off the covers on officer Wei Shen's infiltration of the Hong Kong underground, right here on Joystiq.

From 11am until noon PDT (2-3pm EDT), Joystiq will stream gameplay from the PC version of Sleeping Dogs. Risking life and limb from his own undercover operation, Senior Producer Jeff O'Connell will join the Joystiq crew to discuss development, answer questions from viewers, and watch Shen kick some serious derriere.

For a limited time today, developer ArenaNet is putting its upcoming online world, Guild Wars 2, to the test with a four-hour beta event. Joystiq, having recently discovered the joy of yelling into a microphone while readers watch editors fail at video games, will be streaming the tail-end of today's event. Watch it after the break.

From 3:30pm to 5pm ET, the stream from Joystiq's new Twitch.tv account (which you should totally follow) will be open. While Xav de Matos plays through the game with a fresh character, Massively columnist Elisabeth Cardy will be on hand to manage your questions from the stream chat and comments on this post. Hilarious banter between both editors is expected, but not guaranteed.

This event represents a game still in beta and things may not function properly. Due to the nature of a "stress test" we may experience crashes, game freezes, and other performance and connection issues. The stream will later be available on Joystiq's YouTube channel. Subscribe!
