If you weren't fortunate (or fervent!) enough to secure an entry pass to the first-ever MineCon -- that's shorthand for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/minecraft"><em>Minecraft</em></a> Convention, obvs -- you can now watch the full, 39-minute keynote, courtesy of Gamespot. The saddest part of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega64">Mega64</a>'s latest satirical jab at the gaming industry isn't the fact that <em>Modern Game Journalism: The Movie</em> will never be made into a real film, but rather just how startlingly accurate and true-to-life its depiction of review backlash is.<br />
<br />
Seriously, this may be a hilarious poke at the gaming industry for you at home, but it's the equivalent of an ultra-gritty war drama for us in the field. Once he saw this trailer, our managing editor Justin McElroy had what we can only assume was a post-traumatic episode, at which point he had to be horse-tranquilized. It, uhm, it was a bad scene.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/13/modern-game-journalism-the-movie-the-trailer/">Modern Game Journalism: The Movie: The Trailer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 13 Nov 2011 19:30:00 EST. Presented to the developers of <em>Deus Ex: Human Revolution</em> at Comic-Con, this trailer features all of the hopes, dreams and trench coats of the iconic comedy troupe, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega64">Mega64</a>. If you were sent into inescapable spirals of discomfort while watching one of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega64">Mega64's videos</a> released this year, the video after the jump may very well kill you. It's a behind-the-scenes look at their take on <em>Limbo</em>, <em>Portal 2</em>, <em>Shenmue</em> -- and, of course, the horrified crowds they left in their wake.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/23/mega64-goes-behind-the-scenes-deeper-into-the-awkwardness/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64 goes behind the scenes, deeper into the awkwardness</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/23/mega64-goes-behind-the-scenes-deeper-into-the-awkwardness/">Mega64 goes behind the scenes, deeper into the awkwardness</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 23 Apr 2011 19:00:00 EST. We were wondering exactly how Mega64 was going to pull off a video based on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/portal-2"><em>Portal 2</em></a> without the use of the game's physics-defying gun. It's a good thing we weren't wondering very hard, because we never would have guessed that the answer would involve <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com/video/portal-number-mega64/712980"><em>butt wormholes</em></a>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/19/mega64-ruins-a-perfectly-good-cake-for-portal-2/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64 ruins a perfectly good cake for Portal 2</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/19/mega64-ruins-a-perfectly-good-cake-for-portal-2/">Mega64 ruins a perfectly good cake for Portal 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 19 Apr 2011 19:00:00 EST. The Mega64 boys bring <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/limbo">Limbo</a></em> to the masses in their own special way. People get scared, someone gets upset (naturally) and we get some chuckles from the abyss of awkwardness.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/07/mega64-enters-limbo-yes-its-as-awkward-as-you-imagine/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64 enters Limbo ... yes, it's as awkward as you imagine</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/07/mega64-enters-limbo-yes-its-as-awkward-as-you-imagine/">Mega64 enters Limbo ... yes, it's as awkward as you imagine</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 07 Apr 2011 17:20:00 EST. Yes, Mega64's (<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/23/mega64-heavy-rain-makes-you-cry-a-lot/">second</a>) spoof of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/heavy-rain"><em>Heavy Rain</em></a> features one of the guys wandering through a mall on a very vocal hunt for Jason -- but that's not all. It also contains some of the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP30WYgYiUI">most cringe-worthy moments</a> of social discomfort that the troupe has ever, ever managed to elicit.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/16/mega-64-spoofs-heavy-rain-makes-all-of-us-uncomforjaaaasooon/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega 64 spoofs Heavy Rain, makes all of us uncomforJAAAASOOON</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/16/mega-64-spoofs-heavy-rain-makes-all-of-us-uncomforjaaaasooon/">Mega 64 spoofs Heavy Rain, makes all of us uncomforJAAAASOOON</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 16 Mar 2011 13:45:00 EST. During his GDC panel, Yu Suzuki dropped the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/03/yu-suzuki-reflects-on-sega-career-teases-shenmue/">world-changing news</a> that he might possibly, maybe, be able to make a third <em>Shenmue</em> game, if he can find the money. But in case this <em>rock-solid guarantee</em> doesn't go through, Mega64 cornered Suzuki and asked him to outline the end of the story, in order to provide us the closure we've craved since 2001.<br />
<br />
We don't want to spoil the ending of Ryo Hazuki's saga ourselves, so we'll just tell you to go past the break and let Suzuki tell the story of the vengeance-obsessed teen's trans-Pacific ride on a levitating sword, with live-action performances of key scenes by Mega64 and a special guest. Perhaps we've already said too much. It'll be entirely our fault if the story lacks dramatic impact.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/07/mega64-and-yu-suzuki-reveal-shenmues-conclusion-at-last/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64 and Yu Suzuki reveal Shenmue's conclusion at last</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/07/mega64-and-yu-suzuki-reveal-shenmues-conclusion-at-last/">Mega64 and Yu Suzuki reveal Shenmue's conclusion at last</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 07 Mar 2011 11:15:00 EST. There are only two things that disturb our FPS concentration: mom's unwillingness to bring over some chocolate milk; and the dullards spouting racist, homophobic inanity online. Rooster Teeth and Mega 64 just tested a real soldier's resistance to e-idiocy, and we've posted the video results after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/02/video-how-a-soldier-copes-with-xbox-live-chatter-in-his-ears/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video: How a soldier copes with Xbox live chatter in his ears</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/02/video-how-a-soldier-copes-with-xbox-live-chatter-in-his-ears/">Video: How a soldier copes with Xbox live chatter in his ears</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 02 Dec 2010 20:00:00 EST. We're not sure how Cabela's could be <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/25/mega64s-not-happy-about-halo-3/">so consistently unaware</a> of the games landscape, but we'd be remiss if we said we weren't glad. Otherwise, we wouldn't get hilarious videos from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega64">Mega64</a>, like the one we've embedded past the break. We don't want to ruin the ending for you, but let's just say the Cabela's guys are ready to <em>finish the fight</em>. <br />

Are you impressed by the Kinect's powerful motion-sensing capabilities? Baby, you ain't seen nothing yet -- the <a href="http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/14357198/project-natal-e3-demo-series/videos/mega64_prt_kinect_072910.html">guys from Mega64</a> somehow managed to reach through a fold in time and retrieve the <em>fourth</em> version of the device. Unless -- ah, yes, of course. <em>It's a joke</em>. Oh, Mega64, is there any code you can't crack? First it was <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/25/mega64-cracks-the-kojima-code/">the mysterious Kojima teaser last year</a> and now, the comedy troupe ponders on that mysterious new keyboard-like icon in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/25/keyboards-teased-for-rock-band-3-in-green-day-demo/">the <em>Rock Band 3</em> logo</a>. They even find some similarities between <em>Rock Band 3</em> and <em>F3AR</em> -- er, sorry, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/fear-3"><em>FEAR 3</em></a>.<br />
<br />
It's some very high-brow deductive reasoning, as indicated in the classy image above. Head past the break to check out the video courtesy of <a href="http://ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/28566/rock-band-3/videos/mega64_prt_ignrb3_60810.html?show=hi">IGN</a> -- "solved 4 good," indeed.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/10/mega64-gets-the-lowdown-on-rock-band-3s-new-logo/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64 gets the lowdown on Rock Band 3's new logo</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/10/mega64-gets-the-lowdown-on-rock-band-3s-new-logo/">Mega64 gets the lowdown on Rock Band 3's new logo</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 10 Jun 2010 00:30:00 EST. For $19, you'll get six new episodes of the show (the first in nearly four years), behind-the-scenes docs on each episode and a bevy of other special features.<br />
<br />
Among those special features is not, as far as we know, the episode of the Joystiq Podcast guest hosted by Mega64's Rocco Botte, an embarrassing oversight for both parties. But feel free to put the DVD in your computer, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/25/joystiq-podcast-035-mega-edition/">download the episode</a> and pretend it is so.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/29/mega64-version-3-dvd-now-available/">Mega64: Version 3 DVD now available</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 29 May 2010 01:30:00 EST. You might think you're pumped for <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/marvel-vs-capcom-3"><em>Marvel vs. Capcom 3</em></a>, but <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/mega-64">Mega64</a> has been pumped for a whole <em>decade</em>. Just to prove it, the group has released a <a href="http://ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/70922/marvel-vs-capcom-3/videos/mega64_prt_mvc3alternate2_5510.html">handmade trailer</a> it created way back in its high school days. Okay, so the guys didn't <em>really</em> make a <em>Marvel vs. Capcom 3</em> trailer in high school, but the one they made to <em>look</em> that way is pretty funny anyway. Also, seriously, Carmen Sandiego in a fighting game? How come no one has thought of <em>that</em> before?<br />
<br />
Check it out after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/06/mega64-makes-marvel-vs-capcom-3-trailer/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64 makes Marvel vs. Capcom 3 trailer</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/06/mega64-makes-marvel-vs-capcom-3-trailer/">Mega64 makes Marvel vs. Capcom 3 trailer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 06 May 2010 05:00:00 EST. We really think <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tommy-tallarico">Tommy Tallarico</a> missed his calling in life by becoming a composer. If <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTP0RawPtoM">the first <em>Gamer Warz</em></a> and this followup are any indication, the man was meant for comedy. <em>Gamer Warz 2</em> (watch it after the break) is a collaboration between Tallarico and lulz-factory <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega64">Mega64</a> that really gets to the heart of the elitism and console preferences of the gaming community at large in a surprisingly civil and educated way.<br />

Don't get it twisted: we certainly love Tallarico's music, but this may be the funniest video we've seen in a long time.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/03/mega64-and-tommy-tallarico-present-gamer-warz-2/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64 and Tommy Tallarico present: Gamer Warz 2</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/03/mega64-and-tommy-tallarico-present-gamer-warz-2/">Mega64 and Tommy Tallarico present: Gamer Warz 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 03 May 2010 23:00:00 EST. We're not quite sure what we like best about <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtzzRVAyIS8">the new video</a> from comedy goldmine <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega-64">Mega64</a> after the break: the proposed lifelike tech behind the upcoming <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/nintendo-3ds">Nintendo 3DS</a> (we've got our fingers crossed!) or that Korn is currently recording a new song for <em>Haze 2</em>. It's probably the <em>Haze 2</em> thing. <br />
<br />
Regardless, it's a great spoof on an upcoming gaming handheld we know virtually nothing about, which kinda makes the handheld the easiest thing to make fun of right now. Besides <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/haze"><em>Haze</em></a>, of course.<br />

<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega64">Mega64</a>'s latest video (past the break) highlights some very real concerns about motion-based gaming, albeit in a very ham-fisted way. Gamers looking to veg out in front of the TV and blow some junk up really aren't the target demographic for motion-controlled games, but will likely get pressured into playing by their friends and family -- "motion enablers," if you will. Sure, crushing a calorie or two is good for the old body, but sweating and being out of breath <em>sucks</em>.<br />
<br />
Out-of-shape, poor displays of humanity aside, not everyone is so put off by the idea of, like, moving around and junk. Which camp do you fall in with? Pumped for the next wave of motion gaming or are you already taking a nap on the couch?<br />

There aren't many who stand tall and, against all odds, crusade for truth and righteousness in video gaming. That job is best left in the capable hands of <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4XLiXWkUn4">Indie Man</a>, the latest concoction of super-squad <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega64">Mega64</a>. In an attempt to help struggling indie developers battle against the bigger, well-financed studios, he intervenes when it seems all hope is lost and sabotages the big studios in the name of indie justice. It's darkest just before dawn, and all of that.<br />
<br />
And, in the spirit of his unending generosity, the Joystiq staff has compiled its own list of scenarios where Indie Man's unique skillset could help benefit the smaller fish in the industry pond. Check 'em out right after the video past the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/23/mega64-indie-man-is-a-source-of-hope-for-indie-devs/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64: Indie Man is a source of hope for indie devs</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/23/mega64-indie-man-is-a-source-of-hope-for-indie-devs/">Mega64: Indie Man is a source of hope for indie devs</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 23 Mar 2010 16:29:00 EST. Mega64 gets back to its roots in <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyJ48-BYb7s">the troupe's latest video</a>, enlisting the aid of John and Jane Q. Public to create another minute and a half of comedy based on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-beatles-rock-band"><em>The Beatles: Rock Band</em></a>. You're probably asking yourself how the trio can recreate the full British pop quartet. To answer that, we offer this: through the aid of a surprise guest, of course! <br />
<br />
Head past the break to see who. We're pretty sure you'll never guess who it is.<br />
<br />

If you were to ask us what to expect from most fast food joints, we'd probably tell you to look inside your garbage can and basically expect that -- but, y'know, <em>inside of your stomach</em>. We don't know; it's all the same pre-processed, assembly line garbage to us and we manage to successfully avoid it for the most part. But the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega64">Mega64</a> dudes instead find themselves in an almost perpetual, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_yDWQsrajA"><em>Groundhog Day</em></a>-like loop when it comes to one particular establishment: Sonic. <br />
<br />
Even though each trip usually makes the guys wish they never went in the first place, the thought of returning oddly enough fills them with hope that things will be different each and every time, only to suffer the grim realization again. It's such a departure for Mega64, but we can't help but feel like there's some kind of correlation to a current gaming news item in here -- so we thought we'd post this to see what you all think they're talking about. While we think on it, head past the break and check out the video.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/01/mega64-explains-the-appeal-and-letdown-of-sonic-the-restaura/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64 explains the appeal and letdown of Sonic ... the restaurant</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/01/mega64-explains-the-appeal-and-letdown-of-sonic-the-restaura/">Mega64 explains the appeal and letdown of Sonic ... the restaurant</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 01 Mar 2010 18:00:00 EST. Whether it's through its potent pixel combinations or the fact that the game regularly gives you purple nurples (not really ... we hope), <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/heavy-rain"><em>Heavy Rain</em></a> is bound to make you cry. Don't believe us? Well, would you believe the talented and scholarly chaps at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega64">Mega64</a>? Yeah, we thought so!<br />
<br />
The troupe's <a href="http://ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/811232/quantic-dream-project/videos/mega64_prt_heavyrain_22310.html">latest contribution</a> posits that <em>Heavy Rain</em> is so sad, you won't even crack a smile if you go to Disneyland after playing it. Certainly, one must keep in mind that this is simply one man's experience, but it doesn't necessarily rule out <em>Heavy Rain</em> as a tear-inducing descent into a bottomless well of sadness. Figure out the case of The Crying Amusement Park Attendee for yourself by watching the video past the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/23/mega64-heavy-rain-makes-you-cry-a-lot/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64: Heavy Rain makes you cry (a lot)</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/23/mega64-heavy-rain-makes-you-cry-a-lot/">Mega64: Heavy Rain makes you cry (a lot)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 23 Feb 2010 23:30:00 EST. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has announced that it'll be awarding <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/shigeru-miyamoto">Shigeru Miyamoto</a> with <a href="http://www.develop-online.net/news/33971/Miyamoto-awarded-BAFTA-Fellowship">the storied BAFTA Fellowship award</a>, which is "the highest accolade the Academy can bestow on an individual for their creative work." Miyamoto will receive the award in a ceremony next month. It's a pretty high honor for his work in film and television, which includes <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/12/mega-64s-ruined-mario-skit/">this Mega64 video</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Super_Mario_Bros._Super_Show!">this old kids' television series</a>.<br />
<br />
Oh wait, no -- it's actually part of the British Academy's Video Games Awards, and it is honoring him as the creator of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/donkey-kong"><em>Donkey Kong</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mario"><em>Mario Bros.</em></a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/legend-of-zelda"><em>The Legend of Zelda</em></a>. That makes much more sense. Nobody should be giving <em>anyone</em> awards for <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_Bros._%28film%29">the <em>Super Mario Bros.</em> movie</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/23/miyamoto-recognized-with-prestigious-bafta-fellowship/">Miyamoto recognized with prestigious BAFTA Fellowship</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 23 Feb 2010 22:30:00 EST. We're pretty sure that the new <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mass-effect-2"><em>Mass Effect 2</em></a>-centric video from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Mega64/">Mega64</a> that you'll find after the break is pretty funny. The crew seems to be grilling everyday citizens on censorship, specifically relating to all the xenofornication going down aboard the Normandy.<br />
<br />
We say "pretty sure" and "seems" because ... well, we can't watch this sort of thing with the sound on because it makes us too uncomfortable. <em>There</em>, we said it out loud. That means we also have no idea if the language in the video is safe for work, since we can't hear it. Let's just play it safe and assume it's not, OK?<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/09/mega64-talks-mass-effect-2-sex-censorship/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64 talks Mass Effect 2 sex censorship</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/09/mega64-talks-mass-effect-2-sex-censorship/">Mega64 talks Mass Effect 2 sex censorship</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 09 Feb 2010 02:00:00 EST. Once again, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega-64">Mega64</a> has allowed us to look through <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hm5KvIB12-s">a window into an alternate universe</a>, where the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/gdc">Game Developer's Conference</a> isn't just a series of panels, roundtables and presentations about recent trends in video game development. Rather, in their world, it's a series of panels, roundtables and presentations about recent trends in video game development, held in the middle of a <em>non-stop</em> <em>all-night Jersey Shore-esque club party</em>.<br />

We were unbelievers at the beginning of this new <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Bayonetta/"><em>Bayonetta</em></a><em> </em>ad (after the break), in which Mega64's Rocco Botte insisted that he could emulate -- nay -- top any of the titular action star's moves. But he's definitely shooting bullets with his feet and he promises repeatedly that his hair is a demon, so now whose face has got egg on it? That's right: Ours.<br />
<br />
... Hey, he wouldn't lie about his hair being a demon, would he? No, of course not. Who would lie about that? We're probably just being paranoid.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/07/anything-bayonetta-can-do-mega64-does-better/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Anything Bayonetta can do, Mega64 does better</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/07/anything-bayonetta-can-do-mega64-does-better/">Anything Bayonetta can do, Mega64 does better</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 07 Jan 2010 20:00:00 EST. When Square Enix <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/13/final-fantasy-xiii-launches-march-9-2010-on-ps3-xbox-360/">unveiled</a> the English-language release date of <em>Final Fantasy XIII</em>, Joystiq commenter <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/13/final-fantasy-xiii-launches-march-9-2010-on-ps3-xbox-360/comments/23088010/">Chedder</a> dared to ask the one question on everyone's mind. "Is it me or has the host of this video been drenched by a douche nozzle before they turned the cameras on?" <a href="http://video.ign.com/dor/articles/855949/mega64/videos/mega64_prt_ffxiiiannouncement_120109.html">Mega64</a> has the answer: <strong>yes</strong>.<br />
<br />
Mega64's parody announcement one-ups Square Enix's hyperbolic <strike>infomercial</strike> trailer with hilarious real-world "interviews." Being a blog on the internet, we're big believers in the power of commenters. Whether it's the beloved "First!" or the always refreshing "Slow news day, huh?," each and every person who enters a string of text into a comments field and hits submit has undoubtedly changed the course of history ... <em>forever</em>. <br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega64">Mega64</a>, the comedic troupe with a taste for video games, has finally realized this and, in combination with the item-spawning gameplay of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/scribblenauts"><em>Scribblenauts</em></a>, has created something that will <a href="http://mega64.com/2009/09/25/mega64-masters-scribblenauts-technology/">change the internet forever</a>. We'd go into more detail, but then we'd be taking away from the surprise. So, head past the break and see what's in store for the future of the intertron.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/25/mega64-uses-scribblenauts-technology-to-change-the-internet-fore/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64 uses Scribblenauts technology to change the internet forever</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/25/mega64-uses-scribblenauts-technology-to-change-the-internet-fore/">Mega64 uses Scribblenauts technology to change the internet forever</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 25 Sep 2009 18:47:00 EST. Admittedly, the connection to video games in the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Mega64/">Mega64</a> video we've embedded after the break is threadbare at best. Sure, it's a take off on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/punch-out"><em>Punch-Out!!</em></a> in theory, but it's basically just a guy yelling at people (not that we have a problem with that).<br /> <br /> Even though it's a bit of a stretch, we're happy that we get to post it, if only so you can watch as it devolves into madness at the end. Madness.<br /><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/08/mega64-goes-into-the-ring-with-punch-out/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mega64 goes into the ring with Punch-Out!!</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/08/mega64-goes-into-the-ring-with-punch-out/">Mega64 goes into the ring with Punch-Out!!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 08 Sep 2009 10:00:00 EST. Those lovable scamps from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega64">Mega64</a> are at it again, bringing their own brand of humor to everyone's favorite river-fording, axle-busting game, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/oregon-trail"><em>Oregon Trail</em></a>. We won't try to break down the comedy of this latest vignette, but will instead offer that <em>everyone in this video is crazy for not trading bacon</em>. Seriously, who doesn't like bacon? We thought you guys really <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/15/kojima-theories-solid-funs-of-the-patriots/">nailed it before</a>, but the team from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Mega64/">Mega64</a> has their own take on the mysterious Kojima teaser campaign. The final, <em>final</em> answer involves hammerhead sharks, twisters and Master Chief. Yeah, it's all very technical.<br /><br />Now that the guys of Mega64 have cracked it, can we give the poor Kojima code a break from cracks? Look at the poor thing, it's like a plumbers convention.<br /><br />... Thanks, we'll be here all week. If you thoroughly enjoyed <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/25/see-mega64s-igf-vidoes/">Mega64's video shenanigans</a> at last year's Independent Games Festival Awards show, brace yourselves for round two. This year's IGF Awards featured a pair of clips from the comedic quartet, both of which you can find posted after the jump.<br /><br />The first video is aptly titled <a href="http://mega64.com/2009/04/03/if-youre-not-indie-fk-you/"><em>IF YOU'RE NOT INDIE, F**K YOU</em></a>, and features a bunch of people getting punched in the face, except The Behemoth co-founder Dan Paladin, who is, as legend tells us, <em>unpunchable</em>. The second video, <em><a href="http://mega64.com/2009/04/03/topher-great-payens-the-gdc/">Topher Great Payens: "The GDC"</a> </em>(an homage to the equally unsettling <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDyDz8WeiM4"><em>Shine on Me</em></a> by renowned musician Chris Dane Owens) is, well, extremely bizarre. Or extremely arousing.
