Talk all you want about your precious <em>Bejeweled</em>, but if you were to hand us a cell phone that had a gamepad and a Nintendo Entertainment System emulator built into it, we'd pretty much follow you anywhere.<br /><br />If you live in or near Taiwan, you can get yourself a Century Sutra 1688 smartphone that runs both Windows Mobile, and <em>Super Mario Bros</em>. Sure it's a bit unwieldy, but if you'd told us back in 1985 that we could carry this around in our pocket one day, we'd have called you crazy. Bring it on.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://gaming.engadget.com/2007/05/08/nes-playin-taiwanese-smartphone-comes-gamepad-equipped/">Engadget</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/09/nes-pda-x-cell-omg/">NES + PDA x CELL = OMG!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 09 May 2007 18:27:00 EST. Though, you'll need to purchase a XNA Creator's Club membership, have Visual C# Studio Express and XNA Game Studio Express installed on your computer. There are a few bugs to work out yet, like no ROM loading menu and overall performance on the 360 running at 60% - 70%. But at least things are moving in the right direction. For more information and to download the code head over to XNA SharpNES's <a href="http://code.google.com/p/xnasharpnes/">Google Code</a> site. And if you're willing to try this out please comment on your experience with the emulator so we can live vicariously through you.<br /><br />[Thanks, to everyone who sent this in]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/27/built-with-xna-a-nes-emulator-on-your-360/">Built with XNA, a NES emulator on your 360</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 27 Jan 2007 09:00:00 EST.
