Catholics have the Vatican. And gamers have Japan. While many significant contributions to the world of gaming have come from outside the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan is the unassailable fountainhead of modern video gaming. It's the birth and workplace of gaming giants such as Hideo Kojima, Shinji Mikami, Yuji Naka, and probably <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shigeru_Miyamoto">others</a>. To say that Japan is a place that hardcore gamers need to check out is an understatement at best. <br /><br /> Recently, I took a week to visit my brother who teaches English at a Japanese university near Nagoya. Hundreds of thousands of words could be used to describe the wonderful food, the beautiful temples, and the unique culture of the country. But being a life-long gamer, I paid special attention to the distinct connection between the country and the gaming scene we all know and love. For the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/category/top-five/">Top 5</a>, I usually come up with a topic, then list the top five items for that topic in order. For this edition, it was truly difficult to narrow it down to only five. With that in mind, here's my best attempt at listing the Top 5 gaming elements of my time in Japan. <br /><br /> </div> <br /> <div align="center"> </div> <div class="buttontext"> <div align="center"><a id="ninbutton" href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/18/5-japanese-vc/">NEXT &gt;&gt; </a></div> </div> <style type="text/css"> #ninbutton { border-style: solid; border-color: #000; border-width: 2px; background-color: #BBB; color: #000; text-decoration: none; width: 100px; text-align: center; padding: 2px 2px 2px 2px; margin: 2px 2px 2px 2px; } .buttontext { color: #000; text-decoration: none; font: bold 14pt Helvetica; } #ninbutton:hover { text-decoration: none; color: #BBB; background-color: #000; } </style> <center> </center><br /><br /> <div style="border-top: 1px solid; padding-top: 5px;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/category/top-five/"><img hspace="4" border="1" align="left" vspace="4" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/07/top5_thumbnail_kd_20080702.jpg" /></a><em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/category/top-five/">The Top 5</a> is a weekly feature that provides us with a forum to share our opinions on various aspects of the video game culture, and provides you with a forum to tell us how wrong we are. Though little is known about the Wii's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/14/nintendo-unveils-wii-motionplus-accessory-for-unmatched-precisi/">recently unveiled peripheral, the MotionPlus attachment</a>, other than the fact that it will allow you to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/19/joystiq-e3-hands-on-wii-sports-resort/">throw virtual frisbees to virtual puppies</a> with unparalleled accuracy, Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development director Katsuya Eguchi alluded to <a href="http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2008/07/18/e308-nintendo-exec-alludes-to-wiimote-refresh-with-built-in-mot/">a new Wiimote model that would include the MotionPlus technology</a> during an E3 developer roundtable.<br /><br />In Eguchi's own words, Nintendo is "looking at whether or not it will be an attachment or built in," so a MotionPlus Wiimote is far from confirmed. Still, we certainly hope Nintendo never ceases <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/15/wii-sports-resort-coming-to-the-wii-with-motion-plus-in-tow/">production of the attachment altogether</a> -- forcing a populous that scrambled to acquire the Wii's elusive controller last year to chase after a new Wiimote SKU could lead to an unforeseen, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/04/27/nintendo-revolution-now-called-wii/">if not slightly ironic, revolution</a> against the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/17/npd-wii-hits-10-9m-us-sales-becomes-console-leader/">prosperous company</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/19/rumor-nintendo-exec-hints-at-motionplus-infused-wiimotes/">Rumor: Nintendo exec hints at MotionPlus-infused Wiimotes</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 19 Jul 2008 20:30:00 EST. However, if <a href="http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=327896">the supposed scans of the cover of the upcoming edition of Nintendo Power</a> that have begun to trickle onto the internet are legit, then the publication's big surprise could be coming from an unexpected source -- a new adventure of a recognizable blue rodent, titled <em>Sonic and the Black Knight</em>.<br /><br />Assuming the scans are real, the twentieth anniversary edition of Nintendo Power will give readers their first look at the title. No other details are given on the supposed cover, though we're sure the sole image of the cerulean speedster brandishing a broadsword is enough to send you into a tizzy. However, let us not forget the disaster that resulted the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2005/11/21/meta-review-shadow-the-hedgehog/">last time we bestowed a lethal weapon upon a hedgehog</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/19/rumor-nintendo-power-to-reveal-wii-exclusive-sonic-and-the-blac/">Rumor: Nintendo Power to reveal Wii exclusive Sonic and the Black Knight</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 19 Jul 2008 18:30:00 EST. For a game that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/08/kid-icarus-on-wii-indirectly-revealed-by-ign/">hasn't even been formally announced</a>, there sure seems to be a lot of information circulating about the Wiicreation of the celestial NES action-platformer, <em>Kid Icarus</em>. For instance, Kombo.com (not to be confused with <a href="http://www.zombo.com/">Zombo.com</a>) <a href="http://wii.kombo.com/article.php?artid=11895#">recently posted a veritable cornucopia of concept art</a> for the rumored title, as well as some heretofore unannounced deets. Apparently, Pit has been "cursed for thousands of years for a crime" and has <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallen_angel">become a fallen angel</a> -- those mature themes seem to resonate through the conceptual drawings, available <a href="http://wii.kombo.com/article.php?artid=11895#">on Kombo's site</a>.<br /><br />We're not sure if this new media is legit, but <a href="http://wii.kombo.com/article.php?artid=11331">Kombo did break the rumor that Factor 5 was working on an <em>Icarus</em></a> title in late January. Perhaps they do indeed have an inside source -- though it's just as likely that their early plot details could have rolled off their own forked tongues. <a href="http://wii.kombo.com/article.php?artid=11895#">Check out the images</a>, and judge for yourself.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/11/rumor-kid-icarus-wii-details-screenshots-revealed/">Rumor: Kid Icarus Wii details, concept art revealed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 11 May 2008 17:00:00 EST. Poignant, no?<br /><br />He goes on to explain that while the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/27/wii-shortage-is-intentional-according-to-gamestop/">warm reception of Nintendo's latest console</a> is "fantastic", gamers still want games with production values and narratives that rival those of big-budget movies, much like the titles produced by Rockstar. The rest of the interview is actually a very intriguing look at how the <em>Grand Theft Auto IV</em> team meticulously<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/04/watch-gta-ivs-liberty-city-tourism-ad/"> built a city using the Big Apple as their inspiration</a>, but something tells us that the rest of the story might get overshadowed by that one particular sound bite.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/03/rockstars-dan-houser-disses-casual-gaming-explains-process-of/">Rockstar's Dan Houser disses casual gaming, explains process of rebuilding NYC</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 03 May 2008 20:30:00 EST. We've realized we covered this before, but think of it this way -- now you're two times more aware of these firm, firm prices as the other denizens of the internet.<br /><br />Whether you've yet to join <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/17/another-analyst-says-wii-fit-will-push-wii-shortages/">the hunt for the Golden Ticket-esque Nintendo Wii</a>, or you're one of the eight people yet to buy a Nintendo DS of some <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/01/26/nintendo-announces-ds-lite/">shape</a> or <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/06/27/pink-is-the-new-ds-lite/">color</a>, we certainly hope that the reasoning behind your reluctance to join Camp N isn't the anticipation of a price drop for the two (relatively) affordable consoles. According to a <a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080425/ap_on_hi_te/japan_nintendo">recent statement from Ninty's Satoru Iwata</a>, there are currently no plans to lower the retail price on either of their <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/01/31/a-lucrative-new-ds-feature/">money-printing apparatuses</a>.<br /><br />While this fact isn't exactly surprising considering the systems' sales success at their current costs, Iwata's reason for the set-in-stone price is rather intriguing -- should either system undergo a cheapening, he explained, it would upset those who bought the console at its former price. Yes, we're sure it has nothing to do with the near completion of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/08/miyamoto-Mii-graces-nintendo-chests/">Miyamoto's</a> personal, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34Sb0hGUNIQ">Scrooge McDuck-style gold coin swimming pool</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/27/nintendo-not-dropping-wii-or-ds-lite-price-anytime-soon/">Nintendo not dropping Wii or DS Lite price anytime soon [Update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 27 Apr 2008 17:00:00 EST. Alas, many a brawler-to-be recently found themselves in this lamentable situation, as <a href="http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/repair/repair_form_us_ssbb.jsp"><em>Super Smash Bros. Brawl</em> has reportedly had performance anxiety</a> in a number of Wii consoles.<br /><br />Nintendo has swiftly replied with <a href="http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/repair/repair_form_us_ssbb.jsp">a North American repair form</a>, explaining that the double-layer disc can only be read by a squeaky-clean disc drive lens. They implore you not to try to clean said lens on your own, and to send in your <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/08/wii-is-two-duct-taped-gamecubes-and-other-publisher-rants/">crudely adhered Gamecubes</a> to Nintendo HQ for a thorough purging. We're sure they'll get your newly spruced console back to you in a timely manner -- which will likely offer little consolation to a Nintyfan scorned.<br /><br />[Thanks to all the unlucky souls who sent this in. Our thoughts are with you during these trying times.]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/09/smash-bros-brawl-not-working-on-some-wiis-nintendo-responds/">Smash Bros. At least, that's what Sony exec Phil Harrison had in mind, as he warned EA Blueprint's Neil Young that <a href="http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=17557">the Wii is unfriendly territory for third-party developers</a> -- due to Nintendo's overwhelmingly successful games on their own home console, everyone else can only hope to market their games to "only 40% of the installed base." <br /><br />Young didn't deny this claim, but retorted that the development of their most recent game for the Wii, <em>Smarty Pants</em>, was "very easy to build very quickly" and "fundamentally much more fun" to create -- apparently, <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/wii/puzzle/eacasualwiitriviagame/index.html?tag=result;title;0">more fun than it was to actually play</a>. Have third-party developers resigned themselves to living in Nintendo's shadow, prompting them to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/12/joystiq-hands-on-boogie/">fire out</a> "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/26/southpeak-throws-pool-party-for-wii/">easy to build</a>," <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/chickenshoot/index.html">mediocre</a> <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/eaplayground/index.html">titles</a>? We don't think they quite understand -- if only 40 percent of Wii owners are buying your games, it's because the other 60 percent know better.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/22/sonys-phil-harrison-wiis-audience-plays-hard-to-get/">Sony's Phil Harrison: Wii's audience plays hard to get</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 22 Feb 2008 23:30:00 EST. According to The People, a weekly British tabloid, Queen Elizabeth II has been on a Wii Sports bender ever since her grandson, Prince William, received Nintendo's console for Christmas (or, for our friends reading this across the pond, the day before Boxing Day).<br /><br />According to the rather journalistically unsound article, Her Majesty the "<a href="http://www.people.co.uk/news/tm_headline=make-way-for-the-q-wii-n%26method=full%26objectid=20276099%26siteid=93463-name_page.html">QWiiN</a>" (sigh) is quite the gadget savvy monarch, owning an iPod, blackberry, and fully pimped-out mobile phone, so her interest in the Wii is not so unnatural. We wish the Queen the best of luck in finding her own system -- we <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/14/bbcs-friendly-reminder-that-wii-supply-is-still-an-issue/">hear those things</a> are harder to find than ... wait, there's nothing harder to find than a Wii. You might remember him as the guy who used a Wiimote to set up a <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0awjPUkBXOU&amp;eurl=http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~johnny/projects/wii/">Minority Report-esque finger tracking</a> system, or the one who used the same peripheral to turn any surface into an an incredible <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5s5EvhHy7eQ">multi-touch interactive whiteboard</a>.<br />
<br />
Further proving that Lee is a reverse engineer from the future, his newest video shows what might just be the next big thing in gaming -- <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw">immersive virtual reality displays</a> using, you guessed it, a Wii remote. While this may conjure up bad memories of massive, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yqVChaRBsQ&amp;feature=related">plasticky helmets</a> and unresponsive controls, Lee's method seems extremely functional, and only requires you to wear a pair of LED-infused safety glasses (which for all we know is the hip style in the futureworld Lee comes from). Seriously, how 'bout it, Nintendo?<br />
<br />

If there were four of them, they would be the four food groups of fear. This week, they're all converging on the Virtual Console, so you may want to start your begging for mercy right now.<br />
<ul>
    <li>Cybernator (SNES, 1 player, 800 Wii Points): As near as we can tell, <em>Cybernator</em> is a 2D giant robot game, except the robot is dude-sized, which kind of defeats the purpose. Also: In Japan, this game is known as <em>Assault Suits Valken</em>, which is a much, much better title. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGpzTOUQ5_w">Monster Lair</a> (TurboGrafx16 CD-ROM, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points): <em>Monster Lair</em> is the third game in the <em>Wonder Boy</em> series, even though you likely won't find that written anywhere when you go to buy it. You may remember that we got <em>The Dynastic Hero </em>a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/virtualconsolemonday">couple of weeks ago</a>, which is the fifth game in that same series. (We knew all this off the top of our heads, by the way. Don't even act like we checked Wikipedia.)</li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7p0bkDLdb4">Alien Storm</a> (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points): There are some things you grow less afraid of as you grow older, and then there are things you can only truly fear when you're an adult. The monsters in <em>Alien Storm</em> are just such creatures. Click that link, see if we're kidding. Those creatures are awful. They're like big hulking piles of face meat and scream lumps. Also: This is a game.</li>

Unless the theme this week is "Games With Vowels in the Title," we honestly don't know what the unifier could be. It's OK though, Nintendo, we're more concerned about the games than the themes.<br /><br /><em>Pok&eacute;mon Snap</em> (Nintendo 64, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points): We've long been morally opposed to the whole Pokemon craze. We just can't condone beating animals senseless, locking them in prisons that are 1/10 their size and then forcing them to repeat the cycle of violence. We guess we're OK with <em>Pokemon</em> <em>Snap</em> though, which asks only that you take pictures of the little critters. Also, remember that this version has <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/30/pokemon-snap-gets-wii-functionality-on-virtual-console/">new Wii features</a>.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YT71Eqy8bnQ"><em>Baseball Stars 2</em></a> (NEOGEO, 1-2 players, 900 Wii Points): We're not familiar with <em>Baseball Stars 2</em>, but everything we've read about the game appears to be pretty positive. We only wish the Wii functionality could have trickled down here for all the big-screen TV-smashing action that we crave.<br /><br /><em><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLTQRJXzwP0">Ghosts'n Goblins</a></em> (NES, 1-2 players, 500 Wii Points): <em>Ghosts'n Goblins</em> is the kind of difficult that other difficult games tell their children about to scare them into behaving. It's a classic, sure, but it's also enough to make you put your fist through a wall. We're sure it's fun if you're really good at it but let's be honest ... you aren't, are you?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/10/virtual-console-graced-by-pokemon-snap-ghostsn-goblins-baseba/">Virtual Console graced by Pokemon Snap, Ghosts'n Goblins, Baseball Stars 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 10 Dec 2007 08:50:00 EST. Allow us to suggest the perfect holiday gift: <em>Ninja JaJaMaru-kun</em>. Or <em>Double Dribble</em>. Or any of the dozens of other games on the Virtual Console, which you'll be <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/26/nintendo-wii-virtual-console-gift-giving-service/">able to gift</a> to friends (and super-hip grandmas) <a href="http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2007/12/06/japanese-wii-owners-can-give-the-gift-of-vc-on-the-11th/">beginning Dec. 11</a> ... as long as you live in Japan. The video above walks you through the process so you can see just how easy holiday shopping will soon be for our friends in the Land of the Rising Fun.<br /><br />Sadly, we don't know when we'll be able to use this feature, (it's supposed to be coming this month) so we'll have to make do with the third-hand joy of watching a virtual Japanese person give a virtual gift to his virtual Japanese friend. Hopefully we'll hear a U.S. date soon.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/07/virtually-give-a-virtual-console-gift-with-video/">Virtually give a Virtual Console gift with video</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 07 Dec 2007 12:15:00 EST. If only <em>Eternal Champions</em> soundtrack wasn't so reminiscent of a Wesley Willis concert being pushed down a flight of stairs. Oh well. <em><br /></em>
<ul>
    <li><em>Eternal Champions</em> (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points): We have a lot of happy childhood memories that involve this 2D, not-in-any-way-a-<em>Mortal-Kombat-</em>rip-off-(wink) fighter, and we'd bet that you do too. Now does that mean it's a good game, or even fun to play? We have <em>absolutely</em> no idea. It's nostalgia roulette, and it's only going to cost you $8 to play.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZOsIoJbIR8"><em>Zanac</em></a> (NES, 1 player, 500 Wii Points): In Nintendo's description of vertically scrolling shooter <em>Zanac</em>, the most prominent feature advertised is that the game's difficulty adjusts in real-time to how well you play. It sort of feels like a used car salesman trying to sell you a Chevette by telling you it has "luxuriously wide cup holders." Which is to say it's worrisome. That said, it does have some pretty killer music.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuGsx8K_syk"><em>The Dynastic Hero</em></a> (TurboGrafx16 CD-ROM, 1 player, 800 Wii Points): <em>The Dynastic Hero</em> is an action RPG that has its lead roles filled by insects (finally). It's basically <em>Wonder Boy in Monster World</em> (if that means anything to you) with different characters inserted. Maybe a commenter will be able to share their thoughts on the game. But what we can tell you is that the music is fantastic.</li>

If you're like us, then you've been cruising the Wii aisles at Best Buy and Target, hoping you might be there at the magical moment when a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/17/wii-production-expansion-delayed/">shipment comes in</a> and snag a Wii fresh off the truck. However, all that usually comes in are a fresh batch of <em>Friends</em> DVDs, or possibly more copies of XXX.<br /><br />Well, now you can win a Wii without having to register your credit card somewhere, buy a raffle ticket, or sell a kidney. That's right, sit there in the comfort of your chair/beanbag/couch/captain's set. <a href="http://www.thisnext.com/">ThisNext</a> and Cool Hunting have teamed up to give you a Wii, so <a href="http://www.coolhunting.com/archives/2007/08/be_a_wiiner.php">check out the details</a> for their "Be A Wii-Ner" (oh not they didn't) contest and get yourself a Wii for free.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/21/wanna-winna-wii-go-do-some-cool-hunting/">Wanna Winna Wii? <p><em>Every Tuesday, Mike Sylvester brings you <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/revolutionary/">REVOLUTIONARY</a>, a look at the wide world of Wii possibilities. </em><br /></p>
<p><span style="float: left; margin-right: 10px; margin-top: 7px;"> <script> var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/gaming_news/DIY_Wii_balance_board_used_to_play_snowboarding_game'; </script> <script src="http://digg.com/api/diggthis.js"></script></span>Inspired by <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/11/e307-get-body-conscious-like-the-cho-aniki-dudes-with-wii-fit/">Nintendo's</a> own design, the work of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/20/friday-video-who-needs-a-fancy-balance-board/">another DIYer</a>, and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/bloggers/alisha-karabinus/">Alisha's</a> challenge, I ventured to design and build my own "balance board." For a little more than $20 in materials, I've conceived an oversized Wiimote shell to translate exaggerated body movements into game commands through <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/12/revolutionary-introducing-glovepie/">GlovePIE</a>. Maybe you are <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/11/e307-get-body-conscious-like-the-cho-aniki-dudes-with-wii-fit/">really excited</a> for <span style="font-style: italic;">Wii Fit</span>, or maybe <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/11/wii-fanboy-staff-keynote-reactions/">you aren't</a> all that excited for it. Either way, you have to be able to extract <span style="font-style: italic;">some</span> humor from Sarcastic Gamer's latest video. A lot of truth is revealed in this video, as we can think of no better recipe for fun when it comes to children like graphs and charts. Also, the <span style="font-style: italic;">Wii Fit </span>looks great ... with anything from Ikea!<br /><br />It's a pretty funny video, so be sure to check it out past the break (and try not to take it <span style="font-style: italic;">too</span> seriously).<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/17/sarcastic-gamer-parodies-wii-fit/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Sarcastic Gamer parodies Wii Fit</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/17/sarcastic-gamer-parodies-wii-fit/">Sarcastic Gamer parodies Wii Fit</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 17 Jul 2007 15:15:00 EST. In releasing the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/11/wii-system-update-brings-final-opera-browser-to-your-wii/">final version</a> of the Opera web browser for the Wii, it was believed that all security threats <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/23/wiis-opera-browser-potential-hack-threat/">evident</a> in the trial version of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/category/channels">channel</a> were fixed. Turns out, that might not be the case, as hackers are finding a <a href="http://computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=168234">new</a> exploit in the included browser's Flash Player. Through this loophole, it's believed that hackers could get emulators running on the system. This, for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/category/virtual-console">obvious</a> reasons, would be a disaster for Nintendo.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/17/hackers-finding-internet-channel-exploits-again/">Hackers finding Internet Channel exploits (again)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 17 Jul 2007 14:30:00 EST. Today's Dojo update reveals a new Pokemon in Deoxys. Not a <em>new Pokemon</em>, but rather a new Pokemon to <em>Smash Bros Brawl</em>. And, judging by the new screens in our gallery below, this Pokemon came to lay the smack down on some brawlers, as its Hyper Beam attack looks deadly. We can't wait to give our enemies a taste come <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/11/super-smash-bros-brawl-gets-release-date/">December 3rd</a>, that's for sure.<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/17/dojo-update-deoxys-revealed/">Dojo update: Deoxys revealed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 17 Jul 2007 13:00:00 EST. How could we have possibly missed Joystiq testing out one of the most bizarre, yet incredibly intriguing, accessories we've ever seen? Now, sure there are cans of soda resting there, but we all know what kind of chilled beverages this unit is begging for. Not only that, but there's a sweet little drawer on the bottom of the thing, which is something we didn't even know about. How is this thing going to be <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/13/e307-nyko-gets-its-wii-party-station-on/">only 25</a> bucks?!<br /><br />Be sure to check out images of the Wii Party Station in our gallery below.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nyko-wii-party-station/">Nyko Wii Party Station</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nyko-wii-party-station/#315652"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/07/wiistation5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nyko-wii-party-station/#315651"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/07/wiistation4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nyko-wii-party-station/#315650"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/07/wiistation3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nyko-wii-party-station/#315649"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/07/wiistation2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nyko-wii-party-station/#315648"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/07/wiistation1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/17/wii-party-station-put-to-the-party-test/">Wii Party Station put to the party test</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 17 Jul 2007 12:15:00 EST. <font color="red" update:=""></font> Looks like it was our file, as we tried to upload to GT again, eventually attempting to force it on other online video hosting services. Sorry, but we won't have a video for you this week, it would seem.<br /><br />To say we are not amused would be an understatement, as we've sat waiting for hours for our video to compress at Game Trailers. Instead, we'll offer up our coverage sans video, for the moment. The second it goes live, we'll update the post.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/17/vc-monday-madness-video-wrapup-7-16-07/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VC Monday Madness video wrapup 7/16/07 [update 1]</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/17/vc-monday-madness-video-wrapup-7-16-07/">VC Monday Madness video wrapup 7/16/07 [update 1]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 17 Jul 2007 00:04:00 EST. One of our alumni here, blogger <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/bloggers/ludwig-kietzmann">Ludwig Kietzmann</a>, got his hands on the upcoming joint venture between Nintendo and Sega in <em>Mario &amp; Sonic at the Olympics</em>. As one might expect, the collection of minigames present in this overall game are some that fail to elicit any kind of enthusiasm or excitement in said blogger, as it is remarked this is the equivalent of "gaming chewing gum," as "beyond the initial burst of flavor upon discovering the Wii motions needed to complete an event, it's likely to degenerate into a bout of repetitive motion" for most gamers.<br /><br />To call us disappointed is an understatement, however due to the fact that we pretty much knew this would be the case, at least we were <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/10/sonic-has-not-been-training-for-the-olympics/">prepared</a> for it.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mario-and-sonic-at-the-olympic-games/">Mario &amp; Sonic at the Olympic Games</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mario-and-sonic-at-the-olympic-games/#856006"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/06/800px-mariosonicolympicsdk-cg-jun11_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mario-and-sonic-at-the-olympic-games/#856005"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/06/800px-mariosonicolympicsbirdo-cg-jun11_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mario-and-sonic-at-the-olympic-games/#856004"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/06/800px-mariosonicolympicsjet-cg-jun11_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mario-and-sonic-at-the-olympic-games/#433842"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/10/msog_10910ak_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mario-and-sonic-at-the-olympic-games/#433841"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/10/msog_10908ak_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/16/e307-joystiq-checks-out-sonic-and-mario-at-the-olympics/">E307: Joystiq checks out Sonic &amp; Mario at the Olympics</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 Jul 2007 19:00:00 EST. Now, we aren't ones to say "we told you so," but ... we <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/31/wii-warm-up-to-standby-or-not-to-standby/">told you so</a>. <br /><br />Perhaps our Wii is still very much alive and kicking because of our paranoia? Establishing themselves as the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/supersearch/?q=npd&amp;sort=date">dominant</a> console just wasn't enough for the Nintendo company, as they declared themselves prepared to enter the NASCAR circuit with the Wii-themed Ford Fusion. Driven by Roush Fenway Racing and NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Greg Biffle, the car will make its debut at Watkins Glen next month, followed by an encore performance at Dover's Monster Mile in September. We have to question Nintendo's motives here, but not being NASCAR fans ourselves, we don't really think we're equipped to criticize. <br /><br /><strong>See also</strong>: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/18/nascar-rookie-gives-his-wife-a-wii/">Nascar rookie gives his wife a Wii</a><br /><br />[Via press release]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/16/nintendo-packs-up-the-mullet-and-heads-to-the-races/">Nintendo packs up the mullet and heads to the races</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 Jul 2007 16:45:00 EST. My Name Is" entitled <a href="http://www.sarcasticgamer.com/2007/07/i-hate-this-wii-song.html">"I Hate This Wii".</a> Yes, we find it hilarious and think you shall download it for a good laugh too. But before a flame war surfaces and the whole state of California goes up in flames we should say this; We've previously mentioned Sarcastic Gamer's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/17/sing-along-to-the-ring-of-fire-song-parody/">"The Ring of Fire"</a> song which makes fun of the Xbox 360, their <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/23/wake-me-up-when-the-ps3-has-games/">"No Frickin' Games"</a> song mocking the PS3 and even a parody of Microsoft's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/20/microsoft-surface-that-big-table-computer/">Surface</a>. So, it's only right that the Nintendo Wii get its feelings hurt a little too. Come on guys, fanboys can laugh at eachother especially when it's in musical form and the production is this top notch. Ahh screw it, flame away!<br /><br />[Thanks, COV3RT SN1P3R]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/16/we-dont-hate-this-wii-song-parody/">We don't hate this Wii song parody</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 Jul 2007 16:00:00 EST. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime even <a href="http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/07/reggie-no-wii-f.html">stated</a> that the company still needs to research the cost of its <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/12/wii-warm-up-surfin-skatin-potential-heartbreakin-with-the-bal/">Balance Board controller</a> before pricing can be accurately determined.<br /><br /><em>Wii Fit's</em> product pages at EB Games and GameStop, however, list a placeholder price which is pretty much in line with what we're expecting -- $69.99. That might seem like highway robbery to those who naively hoped for the usual $50, but when you compare it with the expensive fares people will be paying to play games like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/10/the-wii-guitar-hero-controller-first-image/"><em>Guitar Hero 3</em></a> or <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/12/wii-warm-up-rock-band-to-empty-wii-owners-wallets/"><em>Rock Band</em></a>, the bundle's pricing doesn't seem too unreasonable. Our only concern is that $70 might be too much for the casual audience Nintendo is hoping to attract with <em>Wii Fit</em>.<br /><br /><br />[Via <a href="http://digg.com/nintendo_wii/Wii_Fit_listed_on_EBgames_com_at_69_99_Includes_Wii_Fit_and_balance_board">Digg</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/16/rumor-wii-fit-priced-at-69-99/">Rumor: Wii Fit priced at $69.99?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 Jul 2007 13:55:00 EST. Alas, poor gamers in need, there is nothing new with which to enjoy yourself on the Wii. No new retail games for those of us who've been long through with <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/19/metareview-resident-evil-4-wii-edition/"><em>Resident Evil 4</em></a>. But, hey, at least there's some <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/16/vc-monday-madness-paper-mario-balloon-fight-and-silent-debugge/">good stuff</a> on the Virtual Console today, if that's any consolation.<br /><br />If not, well you can cry yourself to sleep in the corner over there. But, when looking at the two Nintendo titles mentioned, that couldn't matter any less. We <em>know</em> it'll be hard to pry us away from our Wii today, as we get knee-deep in some most excellent gaming.<br /><br />Today's VC releases are:<br />
<ul>
    <li><em>Paper Mario </em>(Nintendo 64, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points)</li>
    <li><em>Balloon Fight</em> (NES, 1-2 players, 500 Wii Points)</li>
    <li><em>Silent Debuggers </em>(TurboGrafx16, 1 player, 600 Wii Points)</li>
</ul>
Who plans on giving what a download? If you're on the fence, be sure to stop back later for our video wrap-up of today's releases.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/16/paper-mario-balloon-fight-and-other-appear-on-virtual-conso/">Joystiq</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/16/vc-monday-madness-paper-mario-balloon-fight-and-silent-debugge/">VC Monday Madness: Paper Mario, Balloon Fight and Silent Debuggers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 Jul 2007 10:45:00 EST. It was chock full of content and even though <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/11/wii-fanboy-staff-keynote-reactions/">some of us</a> are a little disappointed in Nintendo's keynote, they had a fairly decent show overall. Those of us dying to see more Mario got our kicks, we found out we're getting <span style="font-style: italic;">Forever Blue</span> in the U.S. with the name <span style="font-style: italic;">Endless Ocean</span>, and Nintendo revealed their next cash cow in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/11/e307-get-body-conscious-like-the-cho-aniki-dudes-with-wii-fit/"><span style="font-style: italic;">Wii Fit</span></a>.<br /><br />Sure, we could do just a regular wrap-up post, but we decided to offer up some of our favorite highlights from the show, instead. Head past the post break to check it all out.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/14/e307-and-thats-a-wrap/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>E307: And that's a wrap</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/14/e307-and-thats-a-wrap/">E307: And that's a wrap</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 14 Jul 2007 18:00:00 EST. The ironic thing about this video is that YouTube isn't the best as far as quality goes. Still, you can kind of get a picture (if you don't already have one) of just how improved the graphics are in <span style="font-style: italic;">Metroid Prime 3: Corruption</span> compared to the previous title. And who can complain about more <em>Metroid </em>content?! Not us, and, we hope, certainly not any of you.<br /><br />Head past the break for the video.<br /><br /><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/13/video-comparison-of-metroid-prime-2-and-metroid-prime-3-graphics/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video comparison of Metroid Prime 2 and Metroid Prime 3 graphics</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/13/video-comparison-of-metroid-prime-2-and-metroid-prime-3-graphics/">Video comparison of Metroid Prime 2 and Metroid Prime 3 graphics</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 13 Jul 2007 16:15:00 EST. Today's Dojo update only brings us news of a new stage. Oh, but how <em>awesome</em> that stage looks, as Smashville makes its debut in the <em>Super Smash Bros. </em>franchise. With an <em>Animal Crossing</em> feel, the stage will seem familiar to all who've spent many an hour fishing in streams, digging for fossils and attending live performances of one K. K. Slider. Well, now you can catch him performing live in <em>Super Smash Bros. Brawl</em> on Saturday nights, as well!<br /><br />Check out some images of the new stage in our gallery below.<br /><br />
<br />[Thanks to everyone that sent this in!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/13/dojo-update-smashville-stage/">Dojo update: Smashville stage</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 13 Jul 2007 14:00:00 EST. Sure, they've hooked us up with a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/11/checking-out-the-nyko-charge-station/">docking station</a>, but this is just too much for us to handle. The Wii Party Station is just that, coming complete with four docking stations to charge that many Wiimotes, room to hold and chill four beverages and a nice little chip-and-dip bowl. It even has personalized scoreboards, allowing you to make known to the room your <strike>lack of</strike> "mad skillz." Look, it even has a little cooling fan, allowing you to pretend you're actually on the lanes when playing <em>Wii Sports: Bowling</em>. And, seriously, the thing is only $25 bucks. That's just about the price of a DVD!<br /><br />Buy. It. ASAP.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/12/nyko-wii-party-station-its-official-the-fun-has-begun/">Engadget</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/13/e307-nyko-gets-its-wii-party-station-on/">E307: Nyko gets its Wii Party Station on</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 13 Jul 2007 13:10:00 EST. After <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/11/wii-gets-healthy-gets-fit/"><em>Wii Fit</em></a> was revealed at Nintendo's keynote on Wednesday, we found ourselves not only thinking of the non-game itself, but also the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/11/e307-get-body-conscious-like-the-cho-aniki-dudes-with-wii-fit/">possibilities</a> the new peripheral could bring to the console. Before we can get ahead of ourselves thinking about all of the <em>non Wii Fit</em> stuff we can do with it, we should probably focus on <em>Wii Fit </em>itself.<br /><br />Well, thanks to the fine folks at Joystiq, they got their hands on the whole setup during E3 this week and chronicled their impressions for us. Their thoughts on the thing, after trying three of the eleven available demos, were a mixed bag. They didn't feel like the three different gameplay segments they tried were anything incredibly fun or engaging, noting that "maybe we'd get it ourselves, too, but not for the gaming aspect. Like <span style="font-style: italic;">Brain Age</span>, it's likely a title we'll never really love but still play it over a year after its release."<br /><br />One thing we did like to read was that apparently the <em>Wii Fit </em>peripheral is "a lot lighter and sturdier than we had anticipated."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/13/e307-joystiq-goes-toe-to-toe-with-wiifit/">E307: Joystiq goes toe-to-toe with WiiFit</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 13 Jul 2007 11:30:00 EST.
